The big news
Humphreys POV:
It has been five months since mine and Kates pups/cubs have been born and boy they have become major balls of energy and oh man is it exhausting. Anyway right now Kate and me were peacefully asleep in our den and I swear it was wonderful but it was unfortunately short lived because I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my tail which woke me right up as I screamed in pain. I looked down at my tail and saw my little ones biting down on it. I would be happy when they were done teething because since they started I have been stuck in-between being their father and their living chew toy. I then leaned my head down to them and said. "Now come on don't bite daddies tail little ones." They all let go and looked up at me with adorable smiles. Then Angela said. "Daddy you promised that today you and mommy would take us out to explore Jasper and not just keep us in the den." I smiled at her and said. "Alright let's first wake up your mother." I then heard Kate say. "I'm already awake since our pups/cubs won't let us sleep in." I let out a small chuckle before saying. "One of the joys of parenthood." She giggled at this before saying. "Well let's get some breakfast into these hungry tummies and then we'll go out and show our family Jasper." I nodded before leading the young ones into the main room of the den. I then went to grab some caribou meat from the food storage room. I placed the meat in front of my family and before me and Kate could even blink our pups/cubs were on the meat eating like there was no tomorrow so frankly it's a miracle that me and Kate got any food at all.
After we were done eating we all left the den me and Kate had a hell of a time keeping all of our little ones together. As me and Kate walked while the pup/cubs ran around she gave me a look and said. "They truly are your children." I then pointed to Snowflake who was doing acrobatics just like her mother did on her first hunt. Kate playfully punched me in the shoulder for pointing that out. After that we continued to follow our pups/cubs around Jasper while being forced to break into the occasional run. We were by the lake now and our pups/cubs were playing in the water while me and Kate sitting down next to the lake watching them with smiles on our faces as Kate had her head on my side. She sighed and said. "I still can't believe we were able to have so many pups/cubs in just one litter." I replied by saying. "Yeah I think it's because of my lion side since lions are known to get their mates pregnant with up to fifteen cubs." She sighed. "I don't care as long as their happy and we don't make any of them feel unloved." I nuzzled her head.
I then noticed that our offspring's were now play fighting and trying to pin each other so I decided it was time for us to join in so I looked at Kate and said. "Well we can't let them have all the fun and I think we should show them how the big wolves play." I then heard someone say. "There will be time for that later my friend." Kate and me turned around to see Kontomblé standing with a smile on his face. We smiled back as I said. "Kontomblé what are you doing here you nutty old shaman?" He gave me a smile and said. "I am here because the time has come for you to return to Africa and claim you're destiny." I gave him a confused look before asking. "My destiny?" He replied by saying. "Yes as your father has decided his reign as king has come to an end and it has been decided that it is time for your reign as king to begin." I was speechless. Kontomblé was telling me that it was time for me to completely uproot my life and the lives of my mate and off springs. I looked at him and said. "Kontomblé I can't do that now my pups are only a few months old. I can't just move them so fast at such a young age." He gave me a smile and said. "Don't worry Humphrey you have two months to prepare and your omega friends along with your in-laws will be given a way to visit whenever they wish." I let out a sigh of relief and said. "That's good so you'll come to pick us up in two months." He nodded and said. "Well I have to get home my visiting nephew always has a way of attracting trouble." I smiled and said. "Oh yeah I remember the trouble that followed him when I met him. Heck I thought my tails fur would never grow back." He let out a chuckle before I said. "Before you go could you stand there for just one more moment?" He gave a confused nod before I looked at my pups/cubs and yelled. "Hey everybody puppy pile on the crazy old shaman." Then before I could blink Kontomblé was on the ground laughing while my young ones where piling on top of him. I chuckled at this before Kate said. "Okay all now get off your uncle Kontomblé or I'll go get grandma." They quickly got off him as I chuckled before Kontomblé said. "Well that was fun but I only have two months to help find you guys an African den. We smiled at him before he burst into blue flames and was launched into the sky. I saw the bewildered looks on the young ones faces and chuckled and said. "We'll be traveling like that in two months my little ones." They let out cheers at hearing this before returning to their little game and we spent the rest of our day like this.
At nightfall Kate and me carried our now exhausted pups back to the den for a nights rest. Sadly as I lay there I just couldn't feel the sweet embrace of sleep because the thought of leaving Jasper again and going back to Africa to be a king no less. I sighed and gently backed away from my family and into the main entrance of the den before I entered my glowing painting room. I sat down on the ground of the room and just looked at the painting of the Savannah. I let out a sigh. Then I felt some paws on my shoulder and heard Kate say. "Humphrey what's wrong?" I let out another sigh and said. "It's nothing sweetheart. It's just that I don't know if I'm doing the right thing taking my family to Africa and I don't know about me being a good king." She licked my cheek and said. "Humphrey you worry too much. Listen I know we'll all love living in Africa and you'll make a great king. Now why don't we get back to the pups/cubs you know they get cold without us." I nodded and thanked her before following her back to the sleeping room for some sleep.
AN:Hey guys I know it's not much but I've got a lot going on now like trying to get over my heroes death, my aunt in prison for shoving a hot burrito down a rude store clerks pants, the Wi-Fi isn't good where I am and worrying about passing Matric because if I don't then I can't go to college next year. Anyway I'll try to do better next time and wish me luck.
