Chapter 10 - Lepus
Term Of Summer
"Happy easter everyone!" Yelled Luke into the halls. He knocked on my door and entered. "Sooo... There's adventure outside if your interested." He said pointing at the window. Curious to see the "adventure", I looked out my window. I saw giant fluffy bunnies with massive razor-like teeth. I turned to Luke, looking to inquire knowledge on the creatures. It was about that time I realized that Luke was wearing bunny ears. I ignored that fact and continued with my previous activity. "What's wrong with those poor rabbits?" I asked my bunny-eared friend. "Once a year, an evil bunny named Lepus comes to Terraria and corrupts all the innocent bunnies. Go kill some bunnies and bring back whatever they drop." Luke said acting as if mass genocide was like stepping on a flower. I walked down the stairs and out the door. I retrieved my pistol and shot about five bunnies in twenty seconds. A new best, my only best. I grabbed the loot from the bunnies and brought them back to Luke. Admiring how much easier gun fights are to write.
I gave the loot to Luke. On the way from my hands, one of the eggs fell to the floor. "You just summoned Lepus, good job." He said to me condescendingly. "Shut up. Anything I should know about fighting him?" I asked Luke. "Shot any and all eggs you see him produce. They will spawn more evil bunnies and sometimes, more Lepuses... Lepi? They'll spawn more him." He said to me. I walked down the stairs and exited the building and saw- What the shit is that thing? It was a giant bunny, with big eyes and even bigger teeth. It was equipped with a massive mouth. "I'm assuming your Lepus." I said to the rabbit. He turned facing me, and shot an egg at me. I dodged the egg and stabbed it, remembering what Luke said. I lunged forward and stabbed a bit. He chomped down and nearly ripped my arm off. While it was readjusting, I sliced one of its eyes and stabbed one of its ears. It reeled back in pain, It leaped at me. Its plan for revenge was foiled when I dodged out of the way. It lost it's balance and skidded instead of landing nicely and thumped into the door. This is when it vomited up an egg. A big egg, it was as big as him. I lunged forward and stabbed at the egg. It started leaking and I stabbed a few more times. Lepus jumped and smashed into me, sending me flying. I looked behind me, and I saw I was at the edge of a cliff. Lepus jumped at me again, but I countered by grabbing the giant rabbit and throwing him off the cliff. I listened and heard a snap. I carefully made my way down the cliff to were the big brute landed. I stabbed my sword into his brain and killed it. He dropped some confusing equipment which I carried back to Luke.
"This is an egg cannon, bring it to Terryl and he may be able to tell you how to get more eggs now that the bunnies are no longer evil. These are more summoners, in case you wish to fight the boss again." Luke explained each object to me. "Good enough, I'll see Terryl in the morning. For now, I'm off to bed. Night, Luke." I said to him heading to bed. "Goodnight." He replied to me.
Easter special is here, sorry it was so short! I had trouble writing this one because the hero has to gather resources soon but I didn't know how to write that excitingly. I will take suggestions in the reviews. I'm also putting up a chapter of my new story "FanStuck" a fanfiction based on HomeStuck. See you then.
