Jay and Nya had left to go on a date and Kai was running errands with Jay, Cole, Zane and Zena. Wu was in a zen sleep. Misako was at the museum again, explaining to her colleagues what had gone down with the final battle.

"So...I guess it's just the two of us." Lloyd shrugged, fingering the green t-shirt he was wearing, along with a pair of jeans.

"Yeah." Garmadon sat down on the couch. "You okay? You seem a little bit unsettled."

"No, I'm quite alright," Lloyd replied, "Just...scared about what might happen in the future..."

"Don't be. I'll always be here to guide you." Garmadon placed a hand on Lloyd's shoulder, squeezing reassuringly. He let out a sigh and pulled him close.. "We'll get through this together."

"Dad, I was thinking, maybe we could go on a dragon ride...y'know...just you and me?" Lloyd suggested.

"That'd be wonderful!"

Lloyd did spinjitzu, changing into his ninja gi then helped his father up from the couch. walking to the door with his father. They went outside and Lloyd summoned his golden dragon, helping Garmadon onto it, then getting on himself. Taking control of the reigns, he soon lifted off, soaring above Ninjago City. Garmadon felt quite at peace, but it soon began to remind him of the final battle.

"Would it be alright If I flew us? I want to go back to the monestary I grew up in," Garmadon requested softly.

"Sure, Dad. Hang on. Lemme land first." Lloyd saw a flat roof and landed there, helping his father down, unsummoning his dragon.

Garmadon then summoned his own dragon which was dark purple–the same shade as his eyes– and gold. As if by instinct, like a trout moving upstream to its birthplace, he quickly found the destination, landing soon after, getting off and helping Lloyd down. He looked at the destruction and gasped in shock.

"W-What happened here? The last time I was here was so long ago...you were just born, and I hadn't been banished." He walked up to place a hand on one of the burnt wood frames. Garmadon felt his eyes tear up. "A-All this time...and I never knew..."

Lloyd stood beside his father. "I was there when it happened. The Hypnobrai I released took back the staff and burned the place down."

Garmadon remembered his conversation with his brother as they traversed the Realm of Madness.

"Why would Lloyd open the tombs...?!"

"To be like you."

"I...never wanted him to."

Consumed with sadness and guilt, Garmadon fell to his knees as Lloyd knelt next to him as well.

"I'm sorry, Dad..." Lloyd murmured.

"I can't help but blame myself, even though it's technically the Overlord's fault I did all of this..." Garmadon choked out.

"It's alright..." Lloyd insisted. "I know you would never do anything to hurt me."

"I'm just...so glad you're here... it's never going to be the same again, Lloyd. I can't bring myself to hope that it'll all be okay..."

Lloyd continued to hug Garmadon for a very long time, comforting him as the former dark lord sobbed into his arms. It would be very difficult for the both of them, but Garmadon mostly.

"I feel that way too, sometimes... You're not alone..."

"I love you so much, Lloyd."

"I love you too, Father..."

Garmadon smiled softly, taking in deep breaths. Night had already fallen. "It's quite late. Let's go home, shall we?"

Lloyd nodded, slowly pulling away, standing up. The two of them summoned their dragons, flying back to Ninjago City.
