New York
It was early June when Annabeth and Percy decided to use their weekend to catch up on work and other household chores that needed to be done as soon as possible. Percy had spent the morning buying groceries and cleaning up the apartment, when he decided to take a break and join Annabeth in the bedroom, where she was propped up against the headboard, going over the latest edits of one of the floor plans of a new project that she was working on for her company.
Percy joined her on the bed and laid himself on this stomach between her legs, so that his head was positioned right by Annabeth's protruding baby bump. He pulled up Annabeth's shirt, so that he could kiss the baby bump. "Good morning, baby," he whispered to her stomach.
"Only a couple more months left until I can hold you in my arms. I'm already so excited for all of the fun things that we're gonna do together. We can go swimming together, and maybe if you inherit my powers, I can show you all of the wonders of Atlantis. We can also go bike riding, or go to the playground, ooh and in the summer, we can go to Montauk and to Camp Halfblood…"
"Percy, you do realise that when the baby comes, it's going to be a baby and won't be able to walk or talk yet," Annabeth said to Percy.
"Shhh… Don't listen to Mommy, she's just jealous of all of the fun that we're going to have together." He muttered to the baby
Annabeth smiled as she watched her husband talk to her growing bump. He was going to be a wonderful father, he had read every single pregnancy and baby book that they had in the apartment, which was as a lot. He had joined Annabeth at every class that she had attended to prepare for the birth of the baby, and he would even get up in the middle of the night to go get whatever crazy food combination Annabeth was craving at the moment.
She knew that he loved every moment that he could spend talking to the baby. Having Percy be so supportive relieved Annabeth a lot as she knew that he would be present and helpful when the baby would come, although they were going to make mistakes, and learn by doing, they were in this together.
Percy looked up at his wife, "You alright?"
"Yeah, perfect," she replied with a smile as she ran her hand through his messy hair. Pleased with her response, Percy went back to talking to the baby, when suddenly, there was a small kick from the baby. Percy's eyes widened as he looked up at Annabeth.
Annabeth giggled as she looked at her husband's astonished face, "The baby likes your stories," she told him. Percy grinned as he returned to talking the the baby, who was kicking in response. Annabeth could not have wished for a more perfect moment.
