Chapter 10: No hard feelings
Sakura's P.O.V
My alarm clock went off, and my eyes opened. I stared up at the white ceiling above me as I slid to the side of my bed. A smile crept onto my face as I stood and skipped to the bathroom. My friends were coming over today after school. I even went as far as inviting the new student, Sai, over; he was cute and nice.
I stared at myself in the mirror and smiled. My teeth were pearly white, thanks to the years of me brushing and flossing them like the dentist had instructed me to do. I walked back to my room and headed over to my closet.
"Hmm" I said scanning over the items that hung in my closet. My eyes set it sights on a Black Mona Fringe crop top, a pair of red high waist shorts with a black chained belt with a pair of black T.U.K Anarchic boots.
"Cute" I said smirking at the outfit I put together.
I got dressed and walked over to my mirror where I brushed and combed my hair up into a ponytail with a Chinese bang. I put on my silver earring set with necklace and bracelet my dad had got me for my thirteenth birthday. Finishing up, I grabbed my backpack off the back hook of my door and walked out. I headed down the stairs where I walked into the kitchen where two familiar faces waited on my arrival. My backpack dropped. "Mom, dad." I whispered staring surprisingly at the two.
Sasuke's P.O.V
I stared at myself in the hazy mirror thanks to the steamy shower I just had. I ran my fingers through my still damp hair and let out a huff. Sliding into my boxers I hung my towel and rag up on its rack and walked out the bathroom. I came across my mom asleep on my bed. I glanced over her face, bruises from years ago were still faint in certain spots, she also had bags under her eyes from lack of sleep I'm guessing. My face softened as I walked towards her and grabbed a handful of my comforter and placed it on top of her. She was so pale and her body was cold. I stared at her small frame wrapped up in my covers. I walked to the door and turned off the light. Staring back at her sleeping form, I heard light snoring and I shut my door. I headed down the hallway into the livingroom. Fugaku was gone, to work I'm guessing. I walked out the front door and locked it and walked over to my black charger. I drove off.
Normal P.O.V
The school bell rung signaling that class had begun. Ino stormed into the classroom straight to the back of the room. Her friends were standing up conversating amongst each other.
"Hinata!" Ino yelled approaching the girl from behind.
Hinata turned to her with her eyebrow rose." Yea?" She said staring at her surprised.
"It's all your fault!" Ino yelled at her, her face held a serious look.
"My fault? For what?" Hinata asked.
The classroom was quiet and all eyes were on the two.
Ino grabbed a piece of paper out her bookbag and slammed it in Hinata's face."This!" She said her face held a smile.
Hinata grabbed the paper from her and scanned over it. "You passed?!" Hinata said smiling at her.
The class sweat dropped and went back to what they were doing.
"Yes and it's all thanks to you and Sakura!" Ino said hugging Hinata.
"By the way where is Sakura?" Ino asked looking around the classroom for her.
"I didn't see her get dropped off earlier." Hinata said staring at her.
"Call her Ino" TenTen said staring at her.
"Ok." She took out her phone and walked to the back of the room.
"Damn will yawl shut it talking about her. She probably took a break from yawl crazy asses" Sasuke's said rolling his eyes and crossing his arms over his chest.
"Stop being a jerk Sasuke, we was just worried about her because it's not like her to not come to school." Temari said jabbing him in the shoulder madly with her pointer finger. Temari turns her nose in the air and walked to her seat.
"Whatever" Sasuke says rolling his eyes.
"What's your problem Teme?" Naruto asks his best friend from his seat in front of him.
"Nothing Dobe." Sasuke replies before turning to stare out the window.
"Sakura says she's not coming today because her parents have come back into town and they wanted her home with them today." Ino said walking back towards the group of friends.
"Oh wow, can we still come over today tho?" Naruto asked Ino.
"Yea, she says we still can come over." Ino says smiling.
"Cool!" Naruto smiled.
Sasuke ignored them as his eyes were still stuck on the window. But rest assured he heard the conversation.
The doorbell rung. Alfred opened up the door for Sakura's friends.
"Please have a seat, Ms. Haruno will be down shortly." Alfred said leading them to the living room.
A movie was playing on the theater sized TV in the living room. The friends took a seat on the sofas.
"Wow, it's so nice in here!" Kiba said gazing around the enormous livingroom.
"I know right, her living room is bout the size of my house!" Naruto said chuckling.
"Her living room is my house!" Shikamaru laughed, his friends laughed except Sasuke.
"Look at all these pictures of Sakura!" TenTen said smiling at the baby pictures of Sakura on the wall.
"Isn't she adorable!" Ino said gawking at the pics.
"Look at her hair, it's actually pink!" Temari said staring around at the pictures.
"I guess these are her parents." Neji said pointing at a family picture of Sakura and her mom and dad.
"Why is this the only family picture of them?" Ino asked looking for more pictures of her with her family.
"Wow I know she had a lonely childhood." Shikamaru said staring at the picture.
"Here's a picture of her parents together." TenTen said pointing to a picture on the wall of just her mom and dad.
"Moka and Juno Haruno. Hey I know them! I read about them in a book at school!" Naruto said.
"You read?" Shikamaru asks with a chuckle.
Naruto glares at him and ignored the question.
"Anyways...they run some big companies in Tokyo that keep It running! The Haruno Corp is the biggest of them all! It's the government property! If you don't pay your taxes you have to answer to them!" Naruto said staring at the picture above.
"Come to think of it, they also got that big Water Park in South Tokyo called Haruno Waterpark!" Kiba said staring at the picture also.
"Do they own the Haruno Restaurant up the street?" Hinata asked Naruto.
"Anything with Haruno on it, it's theirs!" Naruto replied to Hinata.
"Wow, who knew Sakura had riches like this." Neji said staring at the picture of Sakura's parents.
"Well I don't care about her riches, and I don't think she do either, otherwise she wouldn't dress the way she do and she don't act like a stuck up rich brat!" Ino said to her friends.
"Yea your right, and all along while the,not even close to being as rich as Sakura, students picked on her this whole time. Sakura's been beyond rich and nobody knew about it. I mean she did ride to school in a limo but still..." TenTen said.
"Sakura maybe rich but she's probably the most loneliest person at our school. And we never gave her a chance because people always picked on her." Temari said voice sounding a little crack.
"Well I never picked on Sakura, I just..." Hinata said lowly as she held her head down.
"Didn't want to be considered a nerd either for talking to her. I know that because I felt the same way." Ino said staring sadly at Hinata.
"Same here..." TenTen said holding her head down in shame.
"Me too..."Temari said voice filled with regret.
"Me three..." Kiba said holding up his hands in shame.
"We know you picked on her Kiba, you called her a nerd plenty of times!" Ino said angry! She glared at him.
"Hey, I didn't know ol girl had a body like that under all those loose clothes of hers!" He said hands up in defense.
"Well Sakura and I made little conversation but it wasn't how it is now." Neji said with his arms crossed over his chest and his face held a more relaxed facade.
"Well I never picked on Sakura we always talked and she always help me with my work in class." Naruto said smiling and chuckling.
"Yawl Pathetic. Yawl come over people house and have a breakthrough in their living room once you find out how lonely and miserable they life are. You all felt some type of way about her at some point in your life and now it's different because you're actually getting to know her. It still doesn't define who she really is and why she hiding it from people. Sakura is Sakura and she's not going to change just by hanging with us so you all don't have to feel bad for how you once felt about her." Sasuke said staring elsewhere but at his friends.
"She's still considered a nerd to me, with or without money." Sasuke said emotionless.
"You are so heartless!" Temari said storming out the livingroom.
"Wait Temari!" TenTen said following behind her.
"Sasuke!" Hinata said standing up and following behind her friends.
Ino also stood up ,without saying a word, and followed behind her friends.
"You got problems Sasuke!" Naruto yelled madly at him. He walked out the room behind the girls.
"Dude, sometimes you just need to keep your thoughts to yourself!" Shikamaru said walking out the room also.
"I'm a bastard at times, but even I know when it's time to keep quiet." Kiba said walking out also.
Sasuke looked over to Neji." You gonna walk out all mad like the rest?" He asks.
Neji shook his head 'no', and stared elsewhere. "I will say this, you taking your anger and frustration out on a girl who haven't done anything to you, why don't you look at yourself for once." Neji says standing up.
"I thought you wasn't gonna walk out?" Sasuke asks.
"I wouldn't have but Ino texted
me and told me to tell you to come out back." Neji said and walks out.
Sasuke sat in the living room and stars at the blank TV screen.
Alfred walks into the livingroom. " , why aren't you outback. Sakura is looking for you." He says standing beside Sofa Sasuke was sitting on.
"Why she looking for me?" Sasuke asks, staring up at Alfred.
"She wants all her friends to meet her parents, including you." Alfred says.
Sasuke's eyes widened and he turns his head to hear his friends talk out back.
He stood up and was about to leave but was stopped by Alfred.
"Sasuke, your Sakura first friend you know. And she was so happy the day you took her to get some new contacts and out to get some to eat, she came home smiling for once. I don't know if it mean anything to you, but the littlest things anybody do for Sakura she cherishes them because she's never had anybody but her parents and her maids in her life. I have been Sakura's father figure while he's not around. I'm her biggest supporter. If anybody hurts that little girl I don't know what I'll do. So that's why I'm telling you this. You keep my daughter happy and you cherish her! Because you won't find another like her in this world!" Alfred says glaring at Sasuke.
Sasuke stares shockingly at him, his words were sinking in so quickly. He stares at a picture of Sakura on the table.
"With that being said I must take my leave. Dinner is not going to cook itself" Alfred said before leaving.
Sasuke continues to stare at the picture of Sakura on the table.
'Why is he telling me this, like I'm her keeper or some shit.' Sasuke thought. 'I don't need nobody trying to kill me over some stupid girl.' He thought rolling his eyes. Sasuke stood up and walked out the living room.
Sasuke walks out back to see his friends talking to each other and smiling and having a great time in the pool. He searches for Sakura and notices her and Sai conversating on the other side of the pool. He instantly tenses up and balls up his fists.
'What is he doing here! Don't tell me she invited him over!' He glares at the two and made a move to walk over their way but he stopped and thought about what Alfred said.
'She's not my responsibility nor my girl. So why do I get mad whenever I see her around that guy.' Sasuke thought staring down at the ground.
"Sasuke you finally made it out here." Ino said running over to him and grabbing his hand. She pulled him towards the pool where everybody else was.
"Your period finally off Teme!" Naruto yelled coming up from under the water.
Sasuke snuffs and rolls his eyes. "Shut up Dobe!"
Ino laughs at him.
"Well go change into your swimming trunks and get in the water!" Naruto yelled flicking a little water on him.
Sasuke rolls his eyes and walks back into the house.
He came out minutes later in his swimming trunks.
Ino gawked at him. "So hot!" She yells.
The other girls rolls their eyes.
"Only Ino" TenTen said taking a sip of her lemonade.
Sasuke notice the only person who haven't spoken to him all day was Sakura. She was too busy talking to Sai that she didn't even notice his presence. That furiated Sasuke.
"Wanna go swi-" Ino beginned but noticed Sasuke walk off towards Sakura's direction.
"Hey Sakura." Sasuke greeted her with a smirk.
Sakura stares up at Sasuke and blushes at the mere sight of his naked chest.
"H-he-hello Sa-Sasuke-k-kun" she smiled at him her cheeks becoming red.
Sai notice Sakura discomfort and he stood up."Wanna get in the pool Sakura?" He asks holding out his hand for her to take.
Sakura stares up at him and takes his hands.
'Is she really gone get in after what happened last time?' Sasuke thought?
Sai pulls Sakura over to pool and he jumps in, leaving a startled Sakura staring down at him.
Sai comes up from under the water and holds out his hands for Sakura to take. She hesitantly reaches for his hands and he pulls her into the water with him. Sakura instantly panicked, and wraps her arms around his neck.
Sasuke gave Sai a death glare in which he notices and smirks at him. Sasuke's eyes widened as he glares at him hoping something will strike him where he stood.
Ino walks over to Sasuke and touches his shoulder. "You wanna get in?" She asks with a smile. Sasuke looks down at her and gives in, he's only doing this to get closer to Sakura.
The two got into the pool and Sasuke instantly swims over towards Sakura and Sai. Ino follows him.
Sasuke grabs Sakura from behind by her waist and pulls himself up into her. She stiffens and blushes at the contact. Sakura turned around into Sasuke's arms.
"S-Sasuke-k-kun you scared me!" Sakura said frowning at him playfully.
"Sorry Sakura I just wanted to get back at you for ignoring all day." Sasuke said tickling her sides. Sakura giggles. Ino watches from afar as the two played with each other. Her face held a blank stare as she watches them interact. Sai on the other hand broke the two up and grabs Sakura by the hand and pulls her out the pool with him.
"I'm getting a bit tired of the pool." Sai says grabbing his towel and throwing it around him and Sakura.
Sasuke clenches his fists and swam to the other side of the pool and got out. Ino tries to call for him but he grabs his towel and walks into the house. She stares back to the other side of the pool where Sakura and Sai stood and stares stoically at Sakura's smiling face.
