A couple days passed.
It was early in the morning, like ten or something in the morning. I was just outside trying to fix my bike that broke out of nowhere. It was a bit warm, still a nice breeze, so I decided to fix my bike in the nice weather before the heat wave comes.
It took about half an hour, and my paws were covered in oil from oiling the chains and stuff. I sighed and placed my bike back in the shed.
"Ugh, hate being dirty, but at least my bike is fixed, I hope..." I mumbled to myself as I walked back inside.
With my paws covered in grease, I decided to take a shower. I jumped in the shower shortly after and rubbed my paws clean. It took nearly forever, but I finally got it out of my paws. And as I was continuing to wash myself off, I started thinking of what to do today.
As I was thinking, I suddenly thought of a good idea. Group up with my friends and discuss a place to explore.
I turned off the shower and got out after thinking about it. Drying off, I walked into my room to get dressed. Upon getting dressed, I grabbed my phone and messaged all of them to meet at our hangout in about twenty minutes. They all agreed positively and I placed my phone down.
With that out of the way, I finished dressing and went downstairs to quickly grab a snack.
Walking back upstairs, grabbing my phone once again along with my bag, I began my walk to emerald park.
Reaching the park not long later, I sat down and waited for my friends.
In the next ten minutes, they were all there.
"Okay… So I wanted to see if you all wanted to go exploring." I told them.
"Exploring? We've been doing a lot of that lately..." Spark said.
"So? What else can we do during summer in Yuka?" I told him.
"Er… I'm not sure. But there's a lot more stuff to do in Yuka then exploring." He replied.
I sighed.
"Okay. What do you want to do then?" I asked.
"How about we visit the water park? It's opened now." He said.
"That sounds kinda fun..." Shine softly spoke.
"Yeah! It sounds fun!" Leon joined.
One by one, they all agreed it could be a nice cool down. After they all agreed, I just shrugged.
"Alright, I guess we're going to the water park..." I said.
They all seemed excited and departed back to their places to get ready, leaving me sitting on the bench. I sighed and got up and walked back home to get ready as well.
I entered the house and grabbed some pool gear and told my mother that I was going. She seemed fine with it and gave me enough money for the fee. I told her I would be back in about three hours or so and I walked out, heading back to emerald park with my bag of swimming gear.
Once again I had to wait for everyone to group up, but once we did, we all headed to the park in crystal city.
We arrived and paid, entering the park and got dressed into our gear.
Exiting the bathroom with my swimming suit on, I looked at Spark who was sitting on the bench.
"Well… You finally got me to come here." I told him.
"Scared of water? Come on, this will be fun!" He smiled.
"I guess. I just don't really like water parks, but I'll deal with it." I told him.
I sat down with Spark and chatted for a tiny bit while everyone else got into their stuff. And once that happened, we all headed into different directions to do our own things.
I did do some stuff but soon I was just laying on a bench just reading. This is when Spark walked by and noticed me. He walked up and stared at me. I looked up as he stared down at me.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Reading? Seriously?" He said.
"Yeah? Why not? I like reading..." I told him.
"Reading in a water park. Alright… Don't you wanna join us?" He asked.
"Not really." I told him.
Spark rolled his eyes.
"You really gotta stop being boring!" He complained.
"I'm not being boring. I'm here at a water park. How is that boring?" I asked him.
"Because water parks are meant for fun in water. Not reading." He scoffed.
He started annoying me, so I finally closed my book and placed it back into my bag. Standing up, I looked at him.
"Alright, fine, lets have fun." I told him.
"Good, follow me!" He exclaimed and marched away.
I groaned and started following him. He ended up leading me to the rest of my group who was at a food court. Spark sat down and pointed at a seat next to him. I sat next to him and didn't really do anything till Eclipse spoke to me.
"This is actually quite fun, I'm glad we're finally doing something this summer." He smiled.
"Yeah, I guess this is quite fun..." I replied.
The moment Eclipse spoke, I suddenly remembered what Shine told me. I got up real quick and walked to Eclipse, telling him I needed to speak to him for a moment. Eclipse looked a bit confused but agreed, getting up and followed me to a quieter area.
"I completely forgot to ask you this..." I told him.
"Ask my what?" He asked.
"Well… A few days ago when Shine and I spent some of the day together she asked me something. She told me to ask you if it would be alright to let her go on adventures and explore more. With me of course." I told him.
"Well, um… I'm just a bit scared she might hurt herself." He said.
"I know, but I'll be there for her." I told him.
"Knowing you will be with her makes me feel better honestly… Guess she's wanting to finally explore more of the world… Okay, sure, I'll let her go on adventures as long as she's with you." He said.
I nodded.
"Okay. I'll tell Shine. Pretty sure she'll be excited." I replied.
We then walked back as I grabbed Shine. We walked off again.
"So, I just talked to Eclipse since I kinda forgot the last couple of days..." I told her.
"O- oh, and?" She quietly said.
"He said yes as long as your with me." I told her.
Shine looked at me and smiled, hugging me softly.
"Thanks..." She said.
"No problem." I replied as she departed from the hug.
"That really means something, so thanks." She smiled more and walked back to the others.
I joined them right behind Shine and we ate. Well, they ate while I just read some more.
After eating, most of us still enjoyed the water and stuff and about an hour later, we were all drying off and dressing back into our clothes. We left the park and we chatted about random topics before arriving home. As we arrived home, everyone left for their own houses while Shine stood and waited for everyone to leave. Once all of them were out of sight, Shine hugged me again and quietly spoke.
"Thanks for asking Eclipse. I've been really wanting to explore lately..."
I nodded.
"No problem once again." I told her.
She removed herself from me and looked up with a smile. She nodded and walked to catch up with Eclipse.
I then walked home and relaxed...
