The Humbled Prince
Father Of The Princess Bride Pt. 2
Two and a half weeks later/Day Before The Wedding
"Tiana! Tiana Wake up!"
Tiana groaned to the voices of her mother and Telese calling her name. She pulled the blanket over her face. "Mm...no!"
"Babycakes you are gettin' married tomorrow!" Eudora said.
"I know!" Tiana mumbled
"Today is also your last day as a single little girl. If you catch my drift!" added Telese.
Tiana was thankful for the blanket hiding her blush. She wouldn't hear the end of it if Telese saw her.
"And my son is already out with his father and James!"
Tiana's eyes shot open at the sound of the Maldonian queen's voice. "Nagina?"
The queen chuckled. "Yes, it is me!"
Tiana then sat up, pulling the blanket from her head. "Why are you waking me up so early anyway? I thought you all said that I need rest before the big day."
"Please, the wedding night is what you need the extra sleep from!" Telese said, both Eudora and Nagina looked her way. "What? It's true! Naveen will be all over her!"
Tiana covered her face with her hands. "Telese!"
Eudora smiled, pulling the blanket from her daughter. "Let's get you put out of that bed and dressed!"
"Where are we going?" Tiana asked her mother.
"Shopping!" Nagina announced.
Tiana got out of her bed, putting on her robe. "Shopping for what? We already have everything set for both weddings!"
Nagina and Eudora glanced at one another knowingly before returning their looks toward the soon-to-be princess.
Telese handed her younger sister a white sun dress. "You'll see! Now get ready! We'll be leaving in fifteen minutes."
"Fifteen minutes? I have to take a bath, get dressed—
"That's enough time. Come on ladies!" Telese and the two women left Tiana in her room.

"So where are we going again?" Tiana asked, sitting in the passenger side of her sister's car.
"Shopping!"
"And where did mama and Nagina go?"
"They'll meet us at the boutique!"
"Which one?"
"Why are you asking so many questions? I hope you're not this crazy tomorrow night with your poor husband."
"Telese is that all you think about?"
"What sex? Of course!"
Tiana rolled her eyes.
"Telese!"
Both women turned to see Williams approaching them with a huge grin on his face. "Good morning ladies!"
"Hi!" "Hey!"
Tiana knew that she would be a third wheel so she excused herself. "I'll be in the boutique..."
"No, Tiana stay," Telese smiled at William. "I'll see you later this evening." She said to William who nodded his head.
"I only wanted to give you this," he handed her a single rose.
"Aw!" Telese was touched.
Tiana watched the two and missed Naveen. "We should get going."
"My baby sister is right. I'll see you at your store this evening."
"I'll be waiting," he said, watching the two leave.
"Wow, he is in love Telese," Tiana said.
"I know!"
"Do you honestly like him at least?"
"I like him a lot...more than Giuliano."
"Hmm." Tiana could definitely tell her sister cared for the man a lot. "Will there be wedding bells in the future?"
"Tia..."
"Here comes the bride..." Tiana sang.
Telese laughed. "You are too silly!"
"I know it's going to happen. He's in love with you! Can't you see that?"
"Yes, he is," Telese was flattered. "But I do see that he wants something from me. If you know what I mean."
"Of course I know what you mean when you say it like that."
"Have mama spoke to you about sex, Tiana?"
Tiana snorted. "What makes you think that I haven't been doing it already?"
"I would know so what would you like to know?"
Tiana looked around, making sue no one was close enough to hear their conversation.
"Girl you are too sweet!" Telese said with a laugh. "No one is gonna hear us!"
"How was your first time? I'm assuming it was with...you know."
"Charles? Yes, he was my first," Telese rolled her eyes. "He unfortunately was my first everything. Kiss, sex...and I hate to say anything positive about the bastard but he was very gentle with me. Of course we were in his bedroom. Behind closed doors."
Tiana sighed. "I hope that Naveen is gentle with me."
"Oh I have a good feeling that he will be. He's very experienced from what I read about him. A man with skills is always a good thing."
"Good morning ladies!"
Tiana and Telese looked up to see Dr. Facilier grinning ear to ear at them. "I heard that there's a weddin' tomorrow."
"Yes, my wedding," Tiana answered.
Dr. Facilier took a long look at the younger sister, giving Telese a reason to glare at him. "What do you want, Facilier?"
"Last name basis...," he winked at Tiana who rolled her eyes. "You two are the most beautiful sisters on this side of the Mississippi. Your mother must be proud."
"Is there something you need?" Tiana asked, annoyed and uncomfortable.
Dr. Facilier's eyes dragged down to her frame as if trying to leave a photo memory in his head for later. "Eudora must certainly be proud of you marrying up. At least one of her daughters are."
"And you are still a low down dirty piece of shit at the bottom of my shoe!" Telese spat.
The man chuckled. "Y'all ladies enjoy ya day." he tipped his hat before walking toward his black second hand Cadillac.
Tiana and Telese both rolled her eyes. "Ugh!"
"He is a creep," Tiana said.
"A huge creep," her sister added as they walked down the side walk.
Facilier lit his cigar. "This is going to be an interestin' next couple of days."

Later that evening Telese arrived at William's shop only to find the door lock. "William?" she knocked on the glass door. "William!" She smiled when seeing him near the door, opening it.
"May I help you, ma'am?" he asked, face contempt.
She laughed. "What are you ma'am'n about? We have a date tonight."
William couldn't even look Telese in the eyes. "I'm sorry Telese but I'm going to have to cancel the date."
"What for? Did something come up?"
William swallowed the lump in his throat. "Uh...I actually don't want to see you again."
Telese frowned, noticing his odd behavior. "Who put you up to this?"
"No one Telese. I'm sorry—
"You're a coward!" she exclaimed, walking away from the man. She knew who was behind William breaking things off with her. But she wouldn't let him prevent her from finding happiness again. William wasn't man enough to take the risk with her.
William closed the door to his store, kicking himself for breaking up with his dream girl.
"You did the right thing, boy," Charles commended. "The further you stay away from her. The better for your business which holds a long history in New Orleans." he put a hand on the man's shoulder. "You'll thank me later."
William only looked straight out the glass door, all his dreams of being with Telese now history.
Telese paced down the street, furious. "It was dumb of me to even think that any man would be like Giuliano. Brave enough to ignore Charles' threats. William is just like all them!" she got in her car and drove back home. She didn't want to worry Tiana with her issues.

"I wonder why Telese didn't come back?" Tiana wondered, now in her nightgown and robe.
Eudora shrugged. "Who knows? She and William seem to be getting close."
"That's true." she looked down at her engagement ring.
Her mother noticed, "Nervous?"
"No, just worried about Telese. If things don't work out with her I was going to ask her to come back to Maldonia with me. Since you refuse to go."
"Your daddy and myself are needed here. I'm sure Telese will accept. She's got nothing else here anyway. Now all you should be concerned about is tomorrow and remembering those vows."
"How can I forget? From the moment I met you—
"Save that for the vows," Eudora smiled and gave he a kiss on the cheek. "Goodnight babycakes. Your daddy should be in late."
"Alright," Tiana turned off the lamp from hr nightstand before laying back on her bed. The night breeze was a relief from the humid spring day and instantly fell asleep.

The Wedding Day – New Orleans
Naveen woke up earlier than normal feeling anxious to having Tiana as his wife. He already bathe and was wearing his Maldonian prince uniform, staring at his reflection on the mirror.
"Well, Big Boy, today is officially the day I spend the rest of my life with one woman, and what a woman she is!" he picked up the photo of Tiana and him from one of their many dates.
Nagina walked into the room without knocking. "I apologize for barging in..." she stopped when seeing her son in his uniform looking very debonair. "You look..." her eyes watered.
Naveen was use to his parents walking into his bedroom throughout his life, especially his philandering playboy days.
"My handsome son has finally found a beautiful woman who pulled him down to manhood."
Naveen was proud. "She's amazing, very sweet, spunky and everything I want and need from a woman."
"I thought that Fiona was everything you want and need for a woman?" Nagina joked, seeing her son giving her a look of disgust. "I am only joking son! That awful woman was the worse match for you."
"She wasn't a match. She was a one night stand gone wrong," Naveen admitted.
"And what is Tiana?"
"The love of my life and in three hours my wedded wife."
Nagina sighed happily while giving her son a warm hug. "I'm proud of you."
Naveen returned the hug. "So am I, mother. So am I..."

Tiana stared at herself in the mirror, wearing her white bridal gown. She got up early which was the norm for her. The sun shone beautiful through her bedroom window though there were some gray clouds that may cause a problem later.
Lifting the photo from her dresser she had to smile at the man who was on it.
"Naveen," she closed her eyes and sighed. "Well Miss Tiana you'll be somebody's wife by the end of the day. And not just any man's wife, a prince of an actual kingdom!"
"Talking to yourself in there?"
Tiana smiled at the sound of her father's voice. "Come in daddy. See how I look."
James opened the door and when he saw his daughter, every last memory from her birth to this point flashed in his eyes. "My babycakes is now a woman."
Tiana heard the emotion in her father's voice as well as seeing his eyes well up. "Daddy stop. You're going to make me cry."
James gave his daughter a hug. "You have no idea how hard it is give you away, but as a father it is my job to do with a man that's got my respect, and he isn't a man of Good."
"Naveen looks up to you as a father."
"As I see him as my own son," James said.
Tiana pulled from the hug to pick up an unused handkerchief, wiping the tears from her father's eyes. "Daddy..."
He took her hand and kissed it. "I'm proud of you."
Tiana smiled. "So am I daddy. So am I."

Naveen stood at the end of the isle waiting anxiously for his bride. The flower girl, bride maids, groomsmen and maid-of-honour have walked made their walk including his father escorting his and Tiana's mother to their seats. The wedding guests filled the church and he could only recognize some
From Sunday service.
The organ interrupted his thoughts and soon came out James with the most beautifully perfect angel he's ever seen and yet the love in her eyes that is only meant for him showed how real she is. How much she's humbled his heart. His wife.
Tiana felt Naveen's loving eyes on her and saw how handsome he looked in his uniform. He was more than handsome, he was beautiful, perfect even and yet the love in his eyes showed her how humble he really is. Her husband.
After James gave Tiana away to Naveen he stood before them asking them to take each others hand as he prayed for them.
Then, both Naveen and Tiana recited vows they wrote on their own, ones from the bible. James greatly approved.
"Do you Naveen take my daughter Tiana to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do."
"Do you Tiana take Naveen to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do."
"By the power invested in me in the state of Louisiana I now announce you husband and wife," James smiled at Naveen. "You may kiss your wife!"
Naveen gently bright Tiana into his arms before pressing his lips onto hers. He was so thrilled that he lifted his new wife up in his arms in a spin.
Everyone applaud happily for the new husband and wife.
Both Eudora and Nagina held hands. "In nine months we will have our grandchild," Nagina whispered.
Eudora couldn't suppress her grin. "The countdown has started!"

After the wedding everyone went straight to the wedding reception which was in a hall, including Charlotte and her older brother Charles La Bouff who wouldn't take his eyes off Telese.
"You're really making yourself look like an idiot for staring at Telese."
"I can look at whom I want and at the moment it's her," Charles kept his eyes fixed on his target, Charlotte sighed in annoyances, walking her friend's direction
"Thank you for being here, Telese," Tiana released the hug from her sister. "If you've got time my husband and I would really love for you to join us!"
She raised her brow. "Leave with you all to Maldonia?"
Tiana nodded.
"You know I always support my baby sister and brother!" Telese laughed.
"But...?"
'No buts! Of course I'll join y'all!" she announced.
"Come here!" Tiana smiled, hugging Telese again. "You can stay as long as you like!"
"Do I get an invite?" Charlotte asked Tiana who nodded her head.
"Lottie! You made it!"
The friends hugged.
"The wedding was beautiful, Tia! I wish that I was a part of it."
Tiana could see the guilt in her friend's eyes. "You being here is more than enough."
Charlotte's eyes watered as she looked back at her brother was pointed at his wrist watch. "Well I should leave. My brother has a meeting to get to and I have to meet with Big Daddy who sends his love!" she looked at the sisters before backing away and soon leaving with her brother.
Tiana shook her head. "Well I guess that's that."
"Says who?" Naveen asked, wrapping his arms around his wife's waist.
Telese smiled at the two. "Aw! Y'all are so cute!"
Naveen and Tiana shared a kiss. "Telese will be leaving with us tonight."
"So you talked her into coming?" he joked.
Tiana bit the bottom of her lips, playing innocent. "I don't know what you're talking about?"
"Sorry Naveen but Tiana has the talent of getting what she wants."
"I already got that after our first kiss," he said, and pressed his lips on his wife's neck.
Even though Tiana is now a married woman she still felt a little shy about her affections in front of people.
"Aw Tiana!" Telese teased.
Naveen gently took his wife's hand and kissed it. "Would you like to dance?"
"Yes," Tiana gazed into his eyes as they began dancing. She could see the love and lust in his eyes and she was sure he could see the same from her.
"I love you," Naveen wrapped his arms around her. "I promise to always love you for the rest of my life."
Tiana took in his words exhaled. "I love you too, Naveen. Always, for the rest of my life."
"There you two are!" Eudora said to the newlyweds. "If we want to get on the ship on time—
"Mama, we have everything already there!" Tiana continued her dance with Naveen.
"I want to make sure we leave nothing behind! But you two should be heading the door! It's already almost six o clock!"
"Already?" Naveen smiled at his wife who blushed.
Eudora knew those looks all too well. "Oh to be a newly-wedded bride again." She walked over to James who was speaking with Kabir, Nagina and Telese.
"I want to make this work for us," James said to Telese who had tears in her eyes.
"I do too, daddy!" she opened her arms and broke down when James accepted her with an embrace.
"I'm so sorry for the times we missed."
"I'm sorry for the mistakes I've made."
"They weren't your fault to be sorry for." James released the hug.
Telese wiped her teary eyes. "Well I should get on the stage. We'll talk more on the ship ride."
Jams smiled. "I look forward to it, babypie."
Telese walked away feeling like a child. She haven't heard that nick name in years.
James felt pleased that Telese forgave him and couldn't wait to spend more time with all his girls. Just as he turned to look for his wife, he noticed the stars in her eyes. "What is it, baby?"
"The love our children have is beautiful." Eudora glanced from James to Nagina and back at James. "They'll be alright,"
James hugged his wife. "As long as they have God with them they will be."
Kabir rolled her eyes at the statement.
"We should be wrapping up!" Nagina added.
"Excuse me ladies and gentlemen!" Telese said through the microphone. "I'd like to thank you all for attending the beautiful wedding of Prince Naveen and the new Princess Tiana of Maldonia!"
Everyone applaud except for Kabir who whispered to his wife
"She will not officially carry that title until after the wedding in Maldonia."
Nagina shook her head. "It doesn't matter. She married our son today so therefore she is a princess."
"Well...," Kabir grumbled just as his son and new daughter in law got to the microphone.
"We appreciate your well wishes and blessings!" Tiana said. "Today wouldn't have been so special without all of our family and friends here."
"I am honoured to now be a part of this beautiful community and family," Naveen took Tiana's hand. "Now I would like to take my wife and myself out of here so that we can begin our honeymoon!"
Everyone laughed and a couple of whistles came from the audience.
Tiana blushed.
"Well ya'll better get out of here!" Telese laughed.
Naveen scooped Tiana in his arms causing Tiana to gasped and soon the two were out of the hall and into the backseat of their car where their lips connected in a passionate kiss.
By the time they made it to the ship they're parents had already settled to their suites and was waiting for them.
"What took you two so long?" James asked, worried.
Tiana looked up at Naveen who held a goofy grin.
"Well?" James asked.
"We needed more time getting acquainted," Naveen answered and saw his father-in-law's eyes widen. "We only kissed, James!" he added.
James sighed with relief with Eudora shaking her head.
"Really James..." she whispered low enough for her husband to hear.
Tiana looked around. "Where's Telese? Is she still in her suite?"
"Telese didn't show up!" Eudora said.
"I hope she didn't change her mind," Tiana grew worried.
"She'll make it on time, mi benita," Naveen tried to be reassuring. "Now smile for me! This is suppose to be the happiest day of lives."
Tiana gave her husband smile despite now having a bad feeling about her sister.

Telese stepped into her home after a long day at the reception. The wedding of her sister and Naveen was the most amazing thing she's ever been to. And to have her father accept her into the family again made it all the worthwhile.
"It's about time you come home."
She froze when heard the voice and knew who it was. "Charles what are you doing in my house?"
He smirked, walking over to her. "Your house after my good friend Guiliano purchased for you?"
"How do you know where I live?" she stepped away from him as he approached her.
"Easy. I followed you," He answered, his stare was dark, full of hunger.
Telese made a run for it only to have Charles grab at her waist.
She screamed and swung her fist at him.
"Feisty!" He growled.
"Take your hands off of me!" she tried pulling her arms away with no success.
Charles wrapped his arms around her tightly, pressing his lips onto her ear. "Only if you agree to be mine."
She shook her head. "Never!"
"Telese, what we had was beautiful. Do you remember that?" he asked, running his hand up to cup her chin.
She pushed herself out of his hold to face him. "All I remember is you using your privilege lifestyle as a way of hurting those most vulnerable!"
"Its not my fault that I was born a white man and you a coloured woman. We each have a place in this world. You just so happen to belong to me."
"I don't want you."
"You had no problems when we were younger."
"I was stupid pretending to be an adult when I wasn't ready to!" Telese said.
"No, you were stupid abort our child!" He spat.
The comment hit Telese hard but she refused to give him that and glared darkly at him. "I couldn't live with the thought of your brat growing inside of me no thank to its rapist daddy!"
"You little bitch!" Charles balled his fists. "I never raped you! If anything you enjoyed everything I've done to you. Lord know I enjoyed all the nasty things you've done to me!"
"I gave myself to you only twice!" she exclaimed. "The other times were by force and you know that!"
"You belong to me Telese. Not that ogre Giuilano or that nigger boy William!" he pushed her onto the couch and began unbuttoning his trousers.
"Get the hell out of here!" she got off the couch and ran towards the closet where she hid a gun, but that trip was stopped when Charles pushed her against the wall.
He pressed himself against her. "Where were we?" he whispered.
"No!" she squirm and slapped only to feel him overpower her.
She let out a scream at his fingers entering her. She even cried when he added more fingers until she finally laid there like a doll as he replaced his hand with his manhood.
It was as if she was his plaything all over again.
She closed her eyes when he bit down his teeth on her shoulder. When he came he rested up only to violate her all over again.
Telese didn't know what day or time it was when she woke up again. She was in her bedroom naked in bed with Charles snoring beside her.
Was this her life? To be Charles LaBouff's whore? No amount of money in the world was worth going that route. When she sat up she noticed her arm tied down while the other was free. A moan escaped Charles as he stirred form his sleep.
He opened his blue eyes and smirked at her. "Good morning beautiful."
"Go to hell," she said, making him laugh.
"You might as well get used to this because it will happen every night."
Telese tried pulling her arm away and screamed in frustration when she couldn't.
"I don't suppose your friend William won't mind me having me rounds with you," he rolled over, grabbing her leg.
"I'm gonna kill you when I get out of this!" she threatened.
Charles chuckled. "Not unless you want me to take our daughter who looks awfully white t have come out of that black pussy of yours."
Telese looked at Charles, shocked. "I don't have a daughter! I—
"I found out about Vivian a week ago." Charles saw the fear in Telese's eyes and pressed on. "I also know that she lives with some relatives in Chicago who are pretty light in complexion themselves. I will use my power to strip the rights of those mulattos if you don't follow my instructions."
Telese couldn't look at him, shame and defeat came over her. "What do you need from me?"
"You. To myself every night," he said, pulling the blanket, exposing her breasts. "If you agree but run off anyway just know that I am one phone call away from speaking with the Chicago mayor and taking our daughter away to live with my family. She's the splitting image of my mother and Charlotte. There's no doubt that she is mine." Charles' smile was in utter satisfaction. "Blonde, blue eyes and white."
Telese closed her eyes. "I won't leave."
"Good," he said deeply. "You are to remain here in this house. I will buy you what you need," he sat up to untie the knot from Telese's wrist. "You will be financially cared for. My money is mine and my wife's money is hers. We share nothing but a piece of paper that says we're married. Nothing more."
"Like that make things better." She sat up, covering herself with the sheet.
"You had married men before. How am I any different?"
She narrowed her eyes at him. "Ownership."
"Its my right. We do share a child."
Telese looked impassive after his comment. She never hated Charles as much as she did now and whatever life she had was now belongs at the hands of him.
"Think of it as as a modern day plaçage," he said, approving his appearance in her bedroom mirror before going back over to her, placing a gentle kiss on her temple. "You will eventually grow happy to be mine again."
She closed her eyes. "As long as you don't go near my daughter. I'll give you anything you want."
Charles grinned darkly at her. "You have my word."
