Chapter 10:
Yukio Writes Back
Today the morning was nice and crisp. I looked out the window as the autumn leaves blow in the wind. Rin loved when the leaves fell from the trees. I walked around the dorm to the cafeteria to get breakfast. I was a bit lonely of Rin and his amazing cooking. He makes everything just right for him. Rin was also so graceful when cooking. This is the only gift Rin has, that can put grins on people faces. Those were the old days.
Stepping outside I heard crumbled paper. Being an exorcist I snapped my head towards the sound finding a demon cat playing with an envelope. It had writing on it, I squinted my eyes to see it better. My eyes wider as I read it, it was a letter from Rin, his long lost brother. Stepping close, yet with caution I made my way toward the demon cat. It had two little horns coming from its forehead. Having a collar and two tails, this cat looked familiar to me. It took me a couple of seconds then I knew this cat. It was dad's familiar, Kuro, what was he doing here.
"Kuro?" I said stopping.
It looked up at me from the letter then ran to me. It purred as he rubbed against my leg. I pet it and took the letter from him before he could do anything. I opened the letter and look at the content. Nii-san has improved his writing skills while away… I'm so proud of him. That feeling lasted until I read the letter. My heart broke and my mind shattered.
Rin was going to help Satan in a war against us! The idiot! How could he? It's our fault for not telling him about this. He rushed in just wanting nothing but to kill. I drooped but I went inside Kuro hot my heels to my bedroom with a desk. I rushed to the chair and sat down. I got out a pen and wrote back.
Dear Rin,
Nii-san you're crazy in the head! Why are you helping Satan to fight the exorcists, against me, why? Don't you think with your head before you act? Father and I are both exorcists; at least tell us why you're fighting for them. Nii-san please doesn't fight! I don't want to kill or hear about you being killed. Nii-san please just leaves Gehenna, and come back. This killing isn't righteous at all big brother!
I finished the letter quickly and gave it to Kuro, telling him to give it to Rin. I showed a recent picture of him. Kuro nodded and ran out the door in a flash. Rin, just what are trying to do? Why nii-san why?
