"What the hell happened? Where is she?" House's voice sounded worried and scared at the same time as he limped towards Wilson who was standing outside a room.
"She's fine. I was about to get her something to eat when she started to clung at her stomach. When I hurried back to her, she fainted. I called for help and wanted to get her out of the cafeteria, and that's when I noticed the pool of blood on her chair. I-"
"What about the baby?" House interrupted Wilson, starting to get more scared for both their lives.
"Cameron is fine." Wilson repeated, not wanting to say more.
"What about the baby?" House demanded.
Wilson remained silent, preparing himself to tell his best friend the bad news.
"Allison lost a lot of blood." Wilson began."They couldn't stop the bleeding. We had to do a C-section otherwise the baby would have killed her." Wilson stopped and took a deep breath before he continued.
"The baby was supposed to breathe normal and to be able to function on his own like a normal baby but this wasn't the case." At this point Wilson was almost crying for the pain he was seeing in his friend's eyes.
"The baby's vitals were dropping and he went into cardiac arrest." This news was more than House could take. With an outstretched arm, he was able to get hold of the wall so he wouldn't fall. Cuddy, who was still standing behind House was crying frantically.
"House." Wilson's voice was soft. "He's in a critical situation. He was dead for almost over five minutes. He-" Wilson choked back a sob and slowly carried on. "He may not survive the next few hours."
House closed his eyes, hoping that when he'd open them, that this would be all a bad dream. But he wasn't about to get that lucky.
"Where's Allison?" he whispered, trying not to fall into pieces in front of his friends. Wilson nodded to the sliding door on his left and watched House limp into the room. As soon as he was out of sight, Cuddy ran into her husbands arms and cried for her friends while Wilson prayed for a miracle.

The sounds that Gregory House heard when he entered the room were the ones of Cameron's heartbeat from the machine. She seemed to be sedated or asleep either way she looked helpless and pale. An Iv with blood was attached to her arm to replace the lost blood. He slowly limped to the chair situated next to her bed and took her hand in his. This has to be a nightmare; House thought to himself, over and over again. Is has to be. Laying his head on the bed next to her, he closed his eyes and for the first time in his life, prayed to someone he didn't even believe in.

A while later, House was woken up by two people arguing. He immediately knew who they were.
"You can't do this!" argued one through greeted teeth.
"I have to try." said another voice with an Australian accent. "Two years ago, Cameron theory worked. The baby's vitals improved after the parents had her in their arms."
"This is risky. He might die in their arms."
"He might die anyway. So why don't we at least try."
"What the hell are you two talking about?" House asked groggily as he lifted his head up and looked at his two former ducklings.
Chase looked at Foreman for help but he refused to get involved in this. It was then that House noticed an incubator standing next to Chase. There, there he was, his son.
"Why is he here?" House asked angrily. He didn't stand up and go see his son, he wasn't ready just yet.
"I thought it would do the baby good if one of you hold him. I mean, four years ago, Cameron did this with the couple's baby and her vitals then improved. I just thought it wouldn't hurt to try."
House's eyes were fixed on the incubator while thinking if it would indeed be good to hold him. Wouldn't it be harder to lose him then if he had seen him?

"Something wrong?" Wilson and Cuddy asked as they saw Chase and Foreman leaving Cameron's room.
Chase shook his head. "He just kicked us out."
"I still think it's a bad idea." Foreman muttered.
"What is a bad idea?" Wilson frowned, not knowing what those two had just done.
"Chase brought the baby inside her room and thinks a miracle will happen when either House or Cameron hold him."
"Chase, we know you believe in God and miracles, but you're risking the baby's life." Cuddy said.
"I know what I'm doing." He said offended and walked away.
Wilson looked after him, thinking that he may be right, but still Lisa was right, the baby was extremely weak and taking him out of the incubator may risk his life.
Suddenly, they heard House calling for help and nurses rush into Cameron's room.
Wilson and Cuddy looked at each other, fearing for the infants life but as both entered Cameron's room, they were met with Cameron being looked at by House and the pediatrician taking care of the baby.
"House!" Wilson asked. "What's happening?"
House moved away from Cameron revealing hat she was awake. At House's answer, the couple silenced.
"A Christmas miracle."
