Chapter 10: Reminder

It was 9am when Quinn sneaked out of the bed and into the bathroom, while Puck was still sound asleep. She needed to talk to someone about this. She called Brittany and Santana.

"Q? Why the hell are you awake this early on a Saturday?"

"Good morning to you, too, Santana."

"Moooorning, guys!", Brittany said cheerfully.

"I love you, Britt, but how can you be that happy at this time?"

"Oh I love you, too, Sanny. I already went for a walk to look for unicorns in the forest. So Quinn, how did it go with Puck?"

"Good, actually. We talked a lot and now we decided to date."

"And you didn't tell us immediately why?", Santana screamed.

"Because we talked all night and then fell asleep on his bed."

There was a knock on the door.

"Gotta go, guys."

"Wait,Q!"

"I'll go back to New Haven this afternoon. I'll tell you everything on the train.

She opened the door and saw a confused Puck.

"Hey Fabray! I woke up and you were gone I was kinda scared that it was all just a dream until I heard you talking in there."

"I was on the phone with Britt and Santana. And now that you are my boyfriend, don't you think it is time for you to call me by my first name?"

"I love it when you call me your boyfriend."

"I know you do," she said smiling and leaning into the kiss he was eagerly awaiting.

"Wow, Bro. I didn't expect to wake up to that sight."

"Jake!", Puck said.

His little half-brother, who moved in with Puck and his mom when his own mother got a job outside of Ohio, was standing in front of them, holding hands with Marley.

"Hey Quinn," the brunette said, smiling dreamily.

"Hey Marley, how are you?"

"Well", the voice of Puck's mother sounded behind them, "maybe we should continue this conversation over breakfast, what do you guys think?"

The two couples nodded and followed Mrs. Puckerman down the stairs.

"So, how is life at Yale, Quinn?", Marley asked interested.

"Classes are very tough. Way tougher than at McKinley. The profs are usually nice and caring," Maybe some too nice and too caring. "My roommate is adorable and even though she is the daughter of the dean, she is really awesome."

"Oh sounds great," Marley said.

"It is. Are you interested in going to Yale?"

"I am thinking about it."

"Well, if you want me to give you a campus tour or something one day, call me. I would love to."

"Aw, thank you."

While Marley and Quinn were conversing, Jake shot Puck some questioning glances. Puck though only mocked him by making faces.

"Puck!", he shouted.

"What?"

"Just tell me!"
"Tell you what?"

"Well, are you guys dating?"

"Jake, don't ask stuff like that!", Mrs. Puckerman said.

"No, it's okay," Quinn said smiling.

"We are dating," Puck answered now also sporting a big grin.

Quinn took Puck's hand.

"Oh, young love," Jake said laughing.

"Shut up!", Puck shouted and threw the sandwich he was just eating at his brother's face.

"Stop fighting," his mom ordered.

Quinn started giggling and soon everybody was laughing.

"So how is Glee club?", Quinn asked Marley.

"Well, I didn't collapse at Regionals, so yay progress. Well, Finn and Mr Schue are doing their best to prepare us for Nationals. Tina, Kitty and I grew closer, as Unique just keeps chasing Ryder, even though everybody told her to give him time."

"Oh, I feel so bad for her. But yeah, Tina is amazing. She is so sweet."

Jake and Marley looked at her confused.

"Sweet?", Jake asked, "Don't get me wrong. I like her. But she's a total bitch."

"Are we talking about the same Tina?"

"Yes, you are," Puck interrupted, "Quinn, look, Tina kinda changed. She is acting a little weird lately. She became a complete bitch."

"Oh wow. Weird. So basically, you are the sweet girl being friends with the head cheerio and the glee club bitch? Sounds like The Unholy Trinity 2.0," Quinn said laughing.

"The Unholy what?", Jake asked

"Oh, you don't know that story?", Puck asked, "Back in my high school days, there was this elite trio group ruling the school. The three most popular and beautiful girls. The sweet one, Brittany, the bitchy one, Santana and their leader, the Queen Bee of McKinley, the one and only Ms Quinn Fabray."

"Well, I was kinda bitchy too," Quinn corrected.

" 'Kinda' ", Puck said mocking her.

"I don't feel like we can live up to that," Marley said shyly.

"Oh, don't worry. I was only kidding. Nothing beats us three," Quinn said.

They ate the rest of their breakfast talking and having fun. Soon, Quinn realized that she had to go soon.

"Guys, it was really fun talking to you. But I have to catch my train back to New Haven."

"Oh Quinn. That's too bad. It's really great having you around here," Puck's mom said.

Quinn went upstairs to grab her bags, when she saw her phone was ringing.

"Santana?"

"Hey Q!"

"What's up?"

"Remember how you gave me the password to your mail account once because you needed me to check something?"

"Yes why?"

"I kinda used it to rebook your ticket."

"You did what?"

"You are not going to New Haven, you are coming here."

"What?"

"I rebooked your ticket. You are going to New York."

"You know I will kill you for that, right?"

"Yep, but you need to come here for that first."

Quinn hung up and went downstairs, where Puck was waiting for her at the door.

"Excited for Yale?"

"Not going there."

"Wait what?"

"I decided to stop by at New York to visit our friends."
"Oh nice. Say hi from me.

"I will."

There was an awkward silence before Puck kissed Quinn. They just stood there in the doorway kissing for a while, getting lost in the moment, until Quinn realized she had to hurry to get that train.

When she was sitting in it, she realized that she was in fact happy about being with Puck and also looking forward to see Kurt, Rachel and Santana again.
