The bright sun glimmered through the large windows as Cherry hopped out of bed with excitement. "Get up! Get up! Get up!" she chirped, hopping onto Violet's bed as she jumped up and down to wake her up. Violet pulled the blankets over her head as she motioned Cherry to get off. Saffron had awakened from the noise as well.
All of a sudden, Cherry's eyes shifted towards the last filled bed. The one with the navy-haired girl fast asleep. "Good Morning Jade!" Cherry chirped as she hopped on each of the beds to reach Jade's. She began to hop up and down to wake up her up. Jade screamed and sent a kick to Cherry's legs, sending her stumbling onto the floor.
"Ouch.." Cherry grumbled as she dragged herself off the floor. Jade rolled her eyes and pulled herself out of bed. "What was that for?" Cherry asked, crossing her arms. "Are you serious? You sneaked up on me!" Jade yelled. Saffron rubbed her temples. "It's too early to be arguing. Can we please just get ready for school?" she asked. Violet nodded her head in agreement and headed into the bathroom for a shower.
"Are you a meister or a weapon, Jade?" Cherry asked, clasping her hands together in excitement. Jade attempted to ignore Cherry's friendly gestures, but she fond herself giving in. "A meister." she answered as she began to get her clothes together. "What class are you in?" Cherry asked. Jade, once again, wished she could stay silent, but felt the urge to answer. "White Rose, with Professor Celadon." Jade replied. Cherry squealed as she pumped her fist into the air. "We're all in the same class!" Cherry chirped as Violet and Saffron finished getting dressed.
"This is going to be great!"
Violet, Saffron and Cherry met up with Noir at the front entrance of the boy's dormitory. They began to walk towards the school building, and throughout the endless halls of the DWMA. "Crescent Moon...Blazing Sun...Ah! Here's White Rose." Cherry said as the four peaked into the class. The only recognizable faces were Braith, Roux, Jade, Gray and Midori. Professor Celadon proceeded to make another speech on what an honor is was to attend the DWMA.
"The DWMA is divided into two types of classes: The EAT class, and the NOT class. Since you are all new students, you are in the NOT class. The NOT class learns how to form bonds with your partners, and evaluates basic concepts of soul wavelengths. However, you are able to take a written and physical exam at the end of the year to upgrade to the EAT class. The EAT class also evaluates bonds between weapons and meisters, but more in depth. In addition, the EAT class performs missions for Lord Death, and you can embark on your journey to make your weapon a Death Scythe."
The students were listening intently, all most likely ready to take the EAT exam at that moment. Though, none of them had the skill. The students perked up when Professor Celadon uttered the words "Before we begin, I would like to see your talents as students. Will two pairs of students be willing to battle?"
Violet cringed. She knew Cherry couldn't pass up a battle. Especially after their loss yesterday. And as expected, her hand was the first to shoot up. "Professor Celadon! Violet and I want to battle!" she yelped. Professor Celadon smirked. "Ah, I would love to see the Cadwell's talents." Just then, Braith's hand rose. "I too would like to battle the Cadwell."
Roux raised an eyebrow. Professor Celadon motioned the two towards the front of the classroom. Violet was practically shaking with anxiety in contrast to Roux, who could care less. "C-Cherry...I know I can't convince you out of this...but during the battle, you need to listen to me." Violet instructed. Cherry nodded her head. "Right. Now, let's go!" Cherry gave Braith and Roux a devious smile as Violet transformed into her axe form.
"Bash 'em in!" Noir yelled from the stands, his accent coming out. Jade and Gray watched intently, curious of what the two pairs were capable of. Roux released his trademark, cackling laugh as he transformed into a crimson revolver, like the ones used in Mexican stand-offs. Cherry's jaw dropped. "He's a gun? I didn't even know that was a thing..." For the first time, Cherry was beginning to regret her decision to battle.
"You have ten minutes to take the opponent out. Time starts now."
