I don't know what I did here... The summer sun must of melted my brain. Well I guess that's all the better for writing mindless romance eh? :3 Ok it's not that mindless.

Enjoy!

Walking into the office Artemis groaned softly to himself. 'Am I really going to go through with this?' he thought. 'I know very well that I have to, or else whatever this is will eat me alive. But can I?'

He glanced down at the oblivious elf as he worked away, trying to bring himself to say what he needed to say.

"Trouble?" he finally managed to get out.

"Yes, Artemis?" Trouble didn't even bother to look up from his work.

"I'll-I'll give you a chance!" he blurted.

Trouble immediately stopped his work and looked up, shocked. "Wait, what?! What did you say?"

Artemis looked away, trying to hide his blush with a sigh. "I said I'll give this-this relationship-a chance. "

Trouble's mouth moved as if to speak, but no sound coming out. He couldn't decide how to react. "Really?"

"Yes, really!" Artemis snapped as he slammed his hands against the desk and got to his feet. "Don't make me change my mind!" Turning to walk away, he stopped as a hand gently grabbed his own and pulled him back into a loving embrace.

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't believe my ears," Trouble said, his voice muffled from having his face pressed into Artemis's back. He pulled away and spun Artemis around to face him. "I swear I'll make sure you won't regret this decision."

Artemis tried to smile at him, but deep down he was thinking. 'I'm sure you will, but I'm sure I will stick with this experiment until I know the answer... And only stay if I'm proven wrong.'

It surprised Artemis how uneventful the rest of class was, considering his acceptance-if it could be called that-of their new relationship. The most that changed was how close Trouble sat next to him, but oddly that didn't bother him as much as it did before.

Several hours later, as Artemis was relaxing to some Secret Garden in his room before bed, he heard a quiet knock at his door.

"Yes?"

"It's me," Trouble's now unmistakable voice said. "Do you mind if I come in?"

There was a muffled mumble, and taking it as a yes, Trouble slipped into Artemis's room, grinning at the sleepy mud-man.

"Sorry, did I wake you, love?" he cooed, sitting on the bed and running a hand through Artemis's hair. "I do hope you'll forgive me for such a disturbance. "

With a sigh, Artemis shook his head in a negative gesture, hoping to shake off Trouble's hand as well but to no avail. "I won't tolerate such behaviour. Off with his head," he sarcastically replied with a roll of his eyes.

"Oh please, your highness, I beg you for forgiveness!" Trouble laughed, "No matter the cost." And before Artemis had the chance to shoot back a sarcastic reply, the elf kissed him gently on the cheek Noticing how Artemis moved away, he frowned. "Do you not want me to kiss you?" he asked as he moved to sit next to Artemis.

"No. It's fine I'm-I'm just not used to it," Artemis said with an attempt at a smile. "This is my first relationship. "

"What about that Minerva girl?" Trouble asked, confused.

"She doesn't count," Artemis said quickly, his face screaming disgust.

Seeing the expression, Trouble felt a little satisfaction and wrapped his arms around Artemis's slim frame and began a trail of kisses from his heart to his cheek and back. "Good," he said between kisses. "Because you deserve only the best."

The feeling of Trouble's lips dancing across his skin was simply divine, and it took awhile for Artemis to register what was said. "And I suppose you are the best?"

"The very best," Trouble confirmed. "What, do you doubt me?"

"Yes," Artemis said, a grin lurking at the corners of his mouth, but he almost immediately regretted saying so as he found himself being pressed against the bed with his wrists being held above his head and Trouble sitting directly on top of him.

"Why don't I prove you wrong?" the elf purred.

The feeling of Trouble's tongue on his neck sent a shiver down the young Fowl's spine. And feeling his response, Trouble began to suck on a spot by his collarbone, extracting a satisfactory moan from the mud-man.

After making sure he didn't leave too big a mark, Trouble moved up to Artemis's soft lips, making a big show of licking them as if candy before pressing his own to them. In order to get better access the boy's mouth, he let go of Artemis's wrists to hold his head. He was quite pleased to find those nimble, human hands immediately on his back, pressing him closer.

Artemis for the most part was confused out of his mind about what was happening-or more accurately his reaction to it.

'This is odd. How could such simple things send so much pleasure running through my nerves?' he thought with the little part of his mind that was still functioning at a reasonable level. 'It makes no logical sense! If it was somewhere with naturally strong nerve reception, then yes. But that still wouldn't explain why it only happens with him...'

Suddenly there was a spike of pain in his side, and he gasped in surprise. Trouble, having pinched Artemis, used this to his advantage and slid his tongue into the young man's mouth, exploring every inch and taking great pleasure in the little noises Artemis was unconsciously making.

'A tongue more delectable than any dish I've ever tasted... Wait what? What in the gods' name did I just think?' Artemis thought as they broke for air before getting distracted by Trouble's deep violet eyes.

"Still doubt me?" the elf asked. "Or do I have to continue?"

Looking away with a patronizing "Hmmmm" Artemis frowned. "I dare say you provided little evidence supporting your claim. If you have more, then you need it, I'm not the easiest person to convince of anything."

"Continue it is," Trouble said with an excited grin. "I'll convince you if it's the last thing I do."

I really DON'T know. XD
