AN: Okay, I know this chapter's kinda short, but I'm not leaving this for another week. Sorry, I just haven't been feeling all that great recently. I'm sure a lot of you can relate.

Anyway, thank you Marblegirl, bloodytears87, and starlighteeyore for the compliments on the last chapter.

Also a HUGE thank you to H, who is fast becoming my favorite reviewer on this fanfic. You rule!

*maryan- thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately at this point I've already chosen songs for all the pairings.

Hope you enjoy this chapter!

"Okay, Severus," Madam Pomfrey said, after taking a last look at Severus' condition, "You are well enough to leave, but take it easy."

"Yes, yes," Severus waved her warnings aside, "I'll be fine, just let me out of here!"

The medi-witch smirked in amusement. Severus had always hated the Hospital Wing, especially while he was a student. That was something he had in common with Harry as well. She could only hope that she never had both of them as patients at the same time.

"Very well," she said, "Mr. Potter will escort you out."

"Right here, ma'am!" Harry came strolling through the door at that precise moment.

"Harry?" Severus quirked an eyebrow, "Were you eavesdropping?"

"Me?" Harry said with an overly-innocent look, "No, sir, of course not."

"Indeed," Severus smirked.

"Well while you are here, Mr. Potter," Poppy smiled at the two of them, "You may help your Professor back to his quarters, and I would suggest that the both of you hold off on rehearsals until this afternoon at least."

"Yes, ma'am," Harry agreed easily. He would have to explain the performance verbally first, perhaps tweak a few things if Severus wanted.

"Why, Poppy," Severus said shrewdly, getting to his feet, "You aren't trying to sabotage us, are you?"

"Severus!" Madame Pomfrey tried to sound scandalized instead of amused, "How dare you!"

She slapped Severus shoulder lightly, while Harry laughed and Severus chuckled.

"Harry, this is madness!" Severus exclaimed after Harry finished explaining their performance.

Harry frowned.

"Hermione and I thought it was a brilliant idea." He said softly.

"Oh, it is," Severus amended, "Quite brilliant indeed, but doing this would be tantamount to proclaiming open war!"

"The war is already in full swing, Severus," Harry said gravely, "All we're doing is proclaiming which side we're on, and which side will win."

"You shouldn't be so cocky," Severus warned.

Harry nodded to show that he understood.

"I take it there is no time to change our game plan?" Severus asked, though he could guess the answer. The show was in two days' time!

"Nope," Harry answered cheerfully, then added, "As if we would let you anyway!"

Severus smirked.

"You always were a stubborn brat," He said, smiling at Harry fondly.

Harry smiled back at him.

Severus sighed dramatically.

"I suppose we should start practicing," He put a hand over his face in a typical 'woe is me' pose.

Harry laughed and shoved him lightly.

"Oh, go on!" Harry reprimanded him teasingly, "I bet you'll have fun!"

"We shall see." Severus said.

Hermione laughed and applauded as Harry and Severus practiced in an empty classroom in the dungeons. They had been at it for hours now; Hermione had only been watching for fifteen minutes.

Their voices complemented each other nicely. Severus's was a deep baritone, kind of gravelly at times. Harry's voice was slightly higher-pitched, not shrill, and strong.

They do complement each other, she mused as she watched them, I've never seen Professor Snape enjoy himself like this before.

It was true. Despite Severus' doubts, the man was enjoying singing with Harry immensely!

Even so, when Harry suggested that they take a breather, Severus agreed immediately. Poppy's warnings that he should take it easy repeated annoyingly in the back of his mind.

While they took their break, Hermione informed them that their costumes were ready.

"Fantastic!" Harry exclaimed, "Ginny doesn't suspect?"

"No," Hermione assured him, "She worked on your costume, I worked on Professor Snape's."

"You may call me Severus, Ms. Granger," Severus reminded her.

"Only if you call me Hermione." Hermione said with a smile.

Severus smiled in return. A gesture that would have made half the school keel over in shock.

"I trust, Hermione," Severus said, "That my clothing is not an outrageous color."

Hermione laughed.

"Don't worry, Severus," Hermione said, "It is entirely appropriate."

"Damn!" Harry whispered, then laughed when Severus glared.

"In fact," Hermione said, "I could go and get them, if you want to make sure they are suitable for the show?"

"That would be great, Hermione!" Harry said.

"Yes," Severus agreed, "I would like to see our attire for the show."

"I'll go get them!" Hermione said before taking off.

"Here they are!" Hermione announced, placing the costumes on a desk.

Harry's costume was blood red with a gold trim. Severus' was a dark forest green –almost black– with gleaming silver trim. Both costumes were accompanied with a dark, hooded cloak.

"Bloody brilliant, Hermione!" Harry said, examining his costume.

"Indeed," Severus agreed, "Well done, Hermione."

"Thank you," Hermione said, blushing, "Oh, Severus?"

"Yes?" Severus said.

"I'm not sure if I got the measurements right on your clock," Hermione explained, "Could you try that on first, just so I know if I need to make alterations?"

"Of course." Severus obliged, pulling of his own cloak. Underneath he was wearing black slacks and a short-sleeved white shirt. Severus held his hand out to Hermione for the cloak.

His left arm.

Hermione stared.

"What is the-" Severus' voice faltered. He saw what the problem was.

The Dark Mark. The tattoo that had branded him as a Death Eater since his Sixth Year… was gone!

AN: So what did you think? Sorry it's so short, but that last line was just screaming "CLIFF-HANGER"

See you next week!
