This one took a little longer than I anticipated, but I tried to make this believable and right.

She was dead.
His love was dead.
Kol's heart broke inside as he watched her eyes become lifeless from a distance, and slump between the trees holding her up.
He watched with anger and despair as his father untied her, and threw her body to the side, as if she was garbage. He gritted his teeth, and fought against his brothers, who were holding him back.
"She's gone, Kol." Elijah stated, firmly.
Kol shook his head. "No," He whispered, still struggling to get free of his brothers' grasp.
Mikael turned to gaze at them, and laughed. "Better luck next time, son!" He shouted, and flashed away, with Kol breaking free of his brothers, and rushing after him, only to stop at her body.
Tears blurred his vision, as he knelt down beside her, and with a tender caress, touched her bruised, lifeless face. "Toni…" He whispered, gently taking her up in his arms, and began to rock against his body.
Lifting his face to the sky, he let out a scream that shook the world around them.
Klaus felt tears burn his eyes, and he turned his head away from the scene. He felt a hand touch his shoulder, and knew without looking that it was Elijah.
Turning back to look at his baby brother, Klaus watched in anguish as Kol brushed Toni's hair from her face, and tried to will her back to life.
"We have to return to Rebekah." Elijah whispered, causing Klaus to nod.
"Kol," Klaus began, emotion lining his throat. "We need to return."
Kol shook his head. "I'm not leaving her." He stated, rocking back and forth.
"Bring her home." Elijah remarked, stepping towards Kol.
Kol lifted his eyes to his brother's, and Elijah saw how red they were from Kol's tears. With a slow nod, Kol stood up, and carried his love's body through the woods, towards the mansion.
To say the next few days brought relief would be a lie.
Kol was a zombie, never leaving Toni's lifeless body, which rested in their room.
Klaus had notified Toni's father, and to his shock, Giuseppe accepted it by saying he knew it was going to happen.
When Klaus asked how, Giuseppe showed him a letter Antonia had written him a few days before her death.
Klaus read the contents, and lifted his eyes to meet the old man's. With a nod of his head, he left Antonia's father to grieve in peace.
Rebekah had been grief-stricken, for she had lost a friend and sister. Klaus had comforted her, just as he used to when they were children, and held her as she cried.
Elijah had consoled himself with books, the same books Toni had discussed with him.
Kol stayed barricaded in his room. It took Klaus and Elijah, breaking down the door to get Toni's body away from Kol, who had almost starved himself to death.
They finally buried her, next to her mother, and as her body was lowered into the grave, Kol fell to his knees.
He wanted to shut off his emotions, and forget all about the blue-eyed woman who had entranced him, and stood strong in the face of his father, but he couldn't, and wouldn't.
The family left him alone by the grave to say the final goodbyes, and as they departed, Kol placed his hands on the raised dirt.
He felt eyes on him after a few moments, and slowly lifted his eyes to find Giuseppe standing before him. He didn't have the words to say, for he blamed himself.
"I don't blame you."
Kol's body stiffened at the old man's words, and his eyes stared into Giuseppe's. "What?"
Giuseppe sighed, and knelt down. "I don't blame you, Kol." He repeated, moving his eyes to his daughter's grave. "My daughter was a headstrong, stubborn woman, who followed her heart, and was all the better for it." He added, firmly.
Kol shook his head. "If I had left her alone, this wouldn't have happened." He remarked, sadly. "She'd still be alive."
Giuseppe nodded, and sighed. "She might, but I know my daughter, and she would never have given up until she saw you again." He replied, with a smile.
Kol sighed, and felt tears fall down his face. "I loved her."
"I know, son, and she loved you." Giuseppe remarked, shaking his head. "God knows why." He added, with a chuckle.
Kol smiled for the first time in over two weeks, and shook his head. "I wondered about that myself." He whispered, bowing his head.
Giuseppe smiled, and reached forward with his right hand. "Antonia saw the good in everything." He remarked, after a moment. "She never gave up."
Kol shook his head. "No, she never did." He whispered, gazing at the pile of dirt.
"I stand by what I said before, Kol." Giuseppe remarked, standing. "I don't blame you, mainly because she wouldn't." He stated, backing up.
Kol nodded, and slowly lifted his head. "I am sorry."
Giuseppe shook his head. "For what? Loving her?" He asked, his eyes filling with tears. "Never apologize for love, Kol." He added, shaking his head. "Remember that." He finished, lifting his finger, and slowly walked away.
Kol sighed, and closed his eyes. "I won't apologize for loving you, Toni, but I hope you will forgive me for what I'm about to do." He whispered, hating the pain within his chest. "I can't live without you, love, but I will. My love will just be a memory." He added, tears falling down his face.
Closing his eyes, he focused solely on the pain. Slowly, the pain disappeared, and only the remnants of what he used to be remained.
As his eyes opened, the once brown, loving eyes were now lifeless.
~Months Later~
Kol dropped another blonde to the ground, and tilted his head back. He loved the feel of their fear as he held them. He loved the look in their eyes when they knew their lives were ending.
After leaving his family behind, he made his way to New Orleans, and loved the city, as much as he could love. He had yet to return his emotions back on, and that made him even more dangerous.
He never touched the dark haired ones, for the sole purpose they reminded him too much of the pain.
Blue eyes were the worst, and he avoided the ones with those eyes.
He heard someone come up behind him, and smirked, devilishly. "Long way from home, aren't you, Nik?" He asked, turning to find his long lost brothers standing behind him. "You too, Elijah." He added, nodding his head.
Klaus shook his head, and approached his brother. "You have been causing trouble, Kol." He replied, glancing to the blonde on the ground.
Kol shrugged his shoulders. "What's life without fun, Nik?" He asked, shaking his head.
Elijah stepped forward, and glare at his baby brother. "You can't keep this up, Kol. Toni…"
"DON'T YOU DARE, ELIJAH!" Kol shouted, pointing his finger towards his brother. "Don't you dare say her name, and tell me what she would want or wouldn't." He added, lowering his hand.
Klaus shook his head. "Kol, you know the truth. You can't keep doing this." He stated, firmly.
Kol chuckled, and threw his head to the side. "The big, bad brother is talking reason for a change." He scoffed, and shook his head. "What happened? You and Elijah switch places." He stated, moving to walk away.
Klaus growled, and stepped towards him, but Elijah grasped his arm. "Not yet, Niklaus."
Klaus glared at his brother, and jerked his arm away from his grasp. "He won't listen, Elijah."
Elijah sighed, and slowly dropped his hand. Turning his head, he watched as Kol started to walk away. Nodding his head, Klaus pulled out a dagger, and flashed in front of his brother.
"What are you going to do, Nik?" Kol mocked, moving his eyes to the dagger. "Dagger me until I come to my senses? Fat chance." He stated, shaking his head.
Klaus smirked, and shook his head. "Your choice, brother." He stated, ramming the dagger into his brother chest.
Kol gasped, and lifted his eyes to look into his brother's, and suddenly the emotion he had longed kept hidden, came out in a wave.
"Toni…" He whispered, seeing her face just as he closed his eyes, and fell to the ground.
Klaus sighed, and closed his eyes.
"You had no choice, Niklaus." Elijah remarked, trying to see reason.
Klaus nodded, and shook his head. "Let's clean up this mess." He stated, picking up his sleeping brother, while Elijah took care of the dead woman.
As Kol dreamed, he saw a raven haired woman with piercing blue eyes.
"Don't leave me, Toni!" Kol shouted into the darkness.
"I will never leave you, Signor."
He gasped, and saw her with sadness in her eyes.
"You turned off what made you special, Kol." She added, sadly. "When you wake, someone will be waiting for you, love her."
"I will never love another!" He shouted, reaching for her.
She smiled, and shook her head. "You will. Give her a chance, it'll make you stronger." She whispered, starting to fade.
He shook his head, and reached for her. "Antonia!"
She blew him a kiss, and smiled. "I love you, my vampire."
Tears filled his dreamlike state, and he reached for her. "I love you."
She nodded. "Then live and love, Kol." She paused, completely fading from his vision. "Live and Love."
Please be kind!
