Chapter 9

Sorry about the wait guys! I know I suck, but my head has been absolutely bye-bye when it comes to anything creative…and life happened. I give you all permission to slap me as hard as you can if ever we meet in person (I know I will come to regret saying that but oh well). Hope you enjoy even though it's nowhere near as good as some of my other stuff!

The next morning I woke up as usual and unlike yesterday, I felt completely normal. I got dressed as usual in the first things I laid my hands on, not recalling what happened the night before. I went downstairs and got myself a healthy serving of Coco-Pops.

Mmmm…chocolate.

I looked up and found my mother staring at me. I froze.

"What?"

"Oh nothing, nothing, it just seems strange that you don't seem to remember anything from yesterday, or that you're not checking your delicacies to make sure they're perfect before you leave the house, or even that you're not jumping around waiting for Sam to show up and take you on the road to oblivion… But like I said, it's nothing."

Delicacies? Sam? Road to oblivion? Hmmm…

Cakes…boyfriend…pleasure…

"OH MY GOD! How could I have forgotten! Did the icing set okay? Are they soft enough inside? Are all the decorations still in place? Is Sam here yet? Where is he?!" I gasped in realisation and began running around the kitchen like a madwoman. The cakes were fine, thank god… all 48 of them. But where was Sam?

How late was he going to be?! I looked at the clock and realised it was only 8:00, we still had half an hour before time was critical.

"Oh." I looked over to mom and saw that she was hunched over laughing her head off at me.

"Glorious! Just glorious! Oh, it's been months since I've been able to do that!"

"It's not funny." I pouted at her before I resumed my seat and kept on devouring my breakfast.

The rest of the half hour wait passed by much the same as any other, if you ignore the fact that I was running around paranoid about everything. Then, the doorbell rang.

"He's here!" I shouted in joy as I grabbed my bag, cakes and coat and ran to the front door.

Sorry for the short chapter but it's all I can come up with right now. Please review and let me know exactly what you think, constructive criticism is extremely welcome but no hate please, it's hurts me and doesn't help me write more…also, ideas in reviews for where you would like this to go is welcome!
