Jay 3rd person point of view

The team had a long night's rest. Nothing or no one bothered them. They got up and had their rations of protein bars then kept moving. Omega had decided that they seek shelter so they could settle down and find out where they are. Will took point followed by Omega and Sin, with Jay pulling up the rear. He was one of the more experienced troopers in the group. He, Omega and Will have known each other for a little while. It was just Sin who was the newbie of the team. Jay noticed that he started catching up to Sin easily. He decided he was going to fast and started to slow down a bit. A few moments later Jay looked up and still saw himself catching up to Sin. Omega was a few decimeters ahead of him.

"Hey Sin, don't fall behind me." Jay asked.

"Sorry." Sin apologized.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

"No you aren't." Omega cut in. The group stopped to continue the conversation. "Sin, what is wrong? Something has been wrong with you since we came through the portal and it's getting worse. I noticed it at the bar and even during the fight with those men in white." Omega paused for a moment, giving room for Sin to think. "Are you okay?"

"Not really." Sin replied with a hint of embarrassment. "I think I'm sick."

"Your at peak condition for a human," Jay brought up. "You were designed not to be sick."

"No, not that kind of sick." Sin started to explain. "Something happened when we went through the portal."

"What are your symptoms?" Omega asked.

"Dizziness, nausea, headaches, stomach aches. In short, I feel like all my internal organs have been ripped out, chucked around, then shoved back into me."

"How bad does it get?" Jay questioned.

"It goes on and off, but comes back worse every time."

"Understood. We will get a better look at you as soon as we can." Omega stated. "First we need to find shelter and hope they are friendly." The team nodded in unison. "Alright, lets keep moving."

Agent Sam Raeiz 3rd person point of view

Sam was sitting at his desk in the dark cathedral filled with men and women working at monitors and doing paperwork. He finished the last of his paperwork then eased into his chair. "Boring day as usual," He said to himself. "Good." He leaned his head back and started to drift away.

"Agent Raiez!"

Sam got up in shock to the cold voice of his boss.

"Yes sir, what do you need sir?" He replied shakily.

"You busy right now?"

"No sir. I just finished my paperwork."

"Good." His boss replied and slammed a folder on his desk. "New case, two incidents, suspicions arising. Look into it with your partner. Got it?"

"Yes sir." Sam replied as his boss marched back to his office.

"Aww hell" He said to himself. "Just had to ruin my relaxation day." He opened the folder and turned on his desk lamp. He read the file in his head.

Status: Confidential

Approximately 4 days ago, there was a sudden power surge within the US state of Oregon. It was 6 miles from the coast close to the Columbia River. Because the surge was rapid, we were unable to pinpoint a specific region or location. That was until 2 days later. A few miles south, a small pit stop town was under attack by unknown beings.

There were four, humanoid looking beings wearing white armour and carrying weapons technologically superior to ours. We have no record on these being or whether they are from another planet or a country's secret weapons project. Either way, they are to be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

Mission: Search and capture these unknown beings and discover their origin.

Sam read the file 2 more times. "Aliens?" he thought. He was not convinced. He decided to read the report about the small settlement.

One of the beings entered the bar. The Bartender in self-defense shot at the being. The being responded with several shots of a "laser gun" –quote from witness- and the civilians in the bar evacuated. After, more beings entered the bar and took defensive positions.

When the local authorities arrived, they went head to head facing salvos of lasers and vapourizing explosives. Out of the 16 cops who responded to the 911 call, 8 were killed, 6 were wounded and 2 are still on duty. Visuals were captured from security cameras and can be seen on included hard drive.

Sam inserted the hard drive into his computer. Hey played the images captured by the traffic cameras. They fit the report. He saw as the police arrived and set up a defensive position around the bar. A few moments later, one of the so-called "Aliens" paced slowly outside with his hands behind his head. Suddenly a bolt came from one of the bar windows and blew up on of the squad cars, followed by the "Alien" in the front tossing 2 metal spheres, destroying two more cars. A small firefight began. A few shots were ricocheting off the "Alien's" armour. Sam took that as a note. After 2 minutes of a heated battle, the "Aliens" started evacuating, and behind them, the bar turned into a ball of fire, taking a few more squad cars with it.

Intrigued by the report, he decided to play it again.

"So, I head the boss gave us a mission."

Sam quickly paused the clip. He looked up and saw his female partner.

"Not good to sneak up on people Agent Ramirez." Sam formally named her.

"Sorry sir, just wanted to see what we got."

"In my opinion, a dead end." Sam said as he got up and reorganized the file folder. "Look into it. I'm going to see if we have any records of a similar encounter."

"You got it."
