Leaving the guest room in the morning. Inari went downstairs. She needs a soda, sugar, or something that would wake her up. She walks into the living room to find Tezuka sitting on the couch typing on his laptop. She gave him a dirty look then roll my eyes as she walks past him like a stranger. Tezuka stares at her because she didn't say good morning to him. She doesn't know what time he came home last night and she doesn't care.
Inari went into the kitchen to make some coffee. As she stirs it she felt two hands wrap around her hips. She rolls my eyes and kept stirring her coffee. When Tezuka buried his face between her neck she rolls her eyes then I slip away from him.
"Stay away from me." She walks away. Tezuka follows her to the living room.
"What's wrong?"
She sucks her teeth at him. "Like you care." She grumbled. He sighed. "Here we go again."
"Yes! We're arguing again!" She shouted.
"I just wanted to hold you, there's no need for you to be rude."
She looks him up and down. "I don't care what you wanted to do. Didn't you just come home this morning?"
"No. So why are you asking me this?"
"You was gone all day yesterday. Where were you?"
"I was busy." She rolls her eyes.
"I'm sure you were. So, how cute is she? Did you have fun on your little date?" She walks away.
Tezuka crosses his arms. "What are you implying?" She sips her coffee. "Nothing. It's just that. You look refreshed. Did you had a good time last night, with a certain woman?"
"Are you accusing me of having an affair?"
"Me? No… I would never… YES, I AM! So don't talk to me! Go back to that bitch you was with last night!"
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm not stupid Kunimitsu! You were with another woman. Just admit it!"
"I don't have to take this from you. You have been acting two-faced towards me since the day that woman interviewed me."
"Of course, that's your girlfriend right?"
"No! Now, this conversation is over!"
"Whatever! Why don't you go see your fucking girlfriend or something? I'm so sick of you!"
Tezuka sigh. "I don't have a girlfriend, but I do have a wife. So stop accusing me of doing something behind your back, when you know I only care for you!"
"Bullshit! Go tell that woman how much you care for her!"
Inari went upstairs while stomping her feet in anger.
"I wasn't with-" Tezuka sigh when he heard her slam of the bedroom door. He walks back to the couch then sat down.
Inari laid down on the bed pissed as hell. She hates Tezuka right now.
"I need to talk to someone but who? I know better not to call up my Mother. I'm grown, I can handle this by myself. I lost contact with my best friend. I don't want to speak to my sisters either. And if I tell Eiji and the others, they will only tell Tezuka what I said."
Her last choice is her older brother, but he's busy in America, and right now it's late at night there.
"I'm sure he's asleep and I don't want to interrupt him if he's working. Sorry bro, I have no choice."
Once she calls her brother he answered.
"Hello." She smiles. "Hi... Laven."
"Hey, what's up Sis. Haven't heard your voice in a while."
"Yeah, so…what's going on? How you been?" She tries to sound cheerful.
"I'm doing fine. I have been doing paperwork, business, you know the usual. So what's wrong? Did something happen?"
"No." She answered quickly.
"How is Mom?"
"I don't know. I guess she's okay."
He nods. "Okay how about Laria and Lari. Are the Twins doing fine?"
"I don't know what they're doing."
"What the fuck do you know?" He laughs. "Okay, Let me guess. You women haven't been getting along?"
"Correct."
"Why?"
"They started. And I quit."
"You did what?! Why would you do that Inari?!"
"I wasn't happy there. I'll text you the details later. Right now I don't want to talk about it."
Laven sigh. "Whatever you say. So…what did you call me for? Because it seems like you didn't call me to talk about our family or what I'm doing."
"What are you talking about? I called to talk… I miss my older brother. It's so boring here in Japan without you. You're the life of the party when you're here in Tokyo Laven." He laughed. "You're funny." She laughs. "I know but seriously, Laven it's boring without you."
"Hold up. Let me guess what the problem is. You and Kunimitsu are at each other throats?"
She sigh. "Yeah…" She answered.
"Are you kidding me Inari? How long has this been going on?"
"Not that long, you know just a couple of months."
"Don't lie." He warned her.
"Okay, for a year."
"What?! I should have known! I knew that you, my baby sister was too young to get married in the first place. But no. You said you were in love…with him."
"I am in love with Kunimitsu."
"Then why are you having problems?! And it's been going on for a year?!"
Inari sigh. She didn't call for him to lecture her but that's what she gets.
"When you got married. I left you in his hands. I told Tezuka to take care of you. I thought he was a trustworthy man."
"And he still is. It's just that, I don't know what to do anymore. I get so upset, we were alright for like two days and then our relationship collapsed. It's like this because of me."
"It can't be your fault Inari."
She sigh. "But it is Laven. I feel like I'm no good for him. I feel that he deserve better than me. Maybe I should divorce him and let him go his own way."
"Don't do that Sis. Just stay together as long as you can. You might not find love again. You don't want to end up alone like… Our sisters, do you?"
They laugh. "No."
"Then don't. Just stay there with each other. I have a surprise for you."
"Oh…what is it?"
"You'll get it soon, but you two have to stay together."
She shakes her head. "I can't promise you that."
"Then I'm not giving you shit."
They laugh. "Okay."
"I'll talk to you soon Sis."
She pushes the end button and laid down on the bed for a few minutes. after thinking she grabs her jacket and started looking for the chocolate bar she had last night. In her pockets, she found a crumble piece paper. She unwraps it and reads at the number.
"Oshitari? I forgot I ran into him yesterday. He's a fucking stalker. I'll keep the number to prank call him." She took the number and stash it in the dresser.
After a few hours pass, Inari stood by the steps to get ready to leave. She took notice that Tezuka is on the phone.
"Yes. I have been doing that." He sigh. "I tried that Father but you know how Inari is. When she pissed she doesn't listen to me. I don't know what to do anymore. Yes, I'll try. And Father, don't tell Mother about this. Thanks." He sighs then end the call.
Inari couldn't hear what he was talking about so she walks downstairs. Tezuka turned to look at her. He stood up.
"Where are you going?"
"Where I go is my business, so you're your business."
He scowls at her while she stares at the mirror. "Look, I got to go." She tries to leave but Tezuka blocks her way. "Kunimitsu please move."
"No. I refuse to. So stay here with-" He sighs. "Stay here with me." He pulls her closer to him. Inari looks away.
"Kunimitsu stop." She pushes him away.
"Please stay here with me. I don't want to let you go."
Tezuka has his head down. She thought he was going to cry. But no, he's just pissed off.
Why am I not surprised. Of course, it's hard for Tezuka to cry.
"Don't go."
"Kunimitsu, I'll be right back."
"When? How long will you be gone?"
"That's none of your business. I'll come back whenever I get ready. If you can come back anytime you feel like it. So can I!"
"What's so important that you can't stay here with your husband?"
She stares at him like what? Is he fucking serious? "Husband? Oh, now you want to act like a husband?! HA! Yeah right! I have been a good wife to you but we're you a good husband? No!"
"What did you say? You have been a good what?! You have never been a good wife since the beginning! Throughout this whole year I been married to you. I haven't seen you done anything but make my life miserable!"
"Oh yeah?! That's what you think of me?! Fine, then I don't care! Screw you Kunimitsu! I'm out of here. And when you go see your little girlfriend. Tell that bitch, I said she can have you!"
Inari walks out and slams the front door behind her. She speeds walk to her car, gets in, then drives off. Tezuka sigh deeply then sits back on the couch.
"What was I thinking marrying her?" He took out his phone and dial a number.
