When Jack said he was going to raid her fridge KIm didn't really exspect him to do this. H saw that she had all the ingrediantes to make his favorite thing, cake. KIm didn't understand why he would want to all of a sudden make a cake, but she didn't question him.

She sat across the island from him as he worked. She had offered to help but he refused, claiming that he needs practice baking.

He put the soon to be batter in the bowl under the electic mixer.

"So why a cake?" Kim asked. She watched as he mixed the batter. The indevitual ingrediants slowly forming into a smooth brown thick mixture.

"Practice. Your birthday is coming up and I'm going to make you a cake." He flashed her a quick smile before looking back at his work. But Kim groaned.

Her birthday was coming up in a few weeks. Her 18th. It's not that she didn't like her birthday, she does. But ever since the band got signed, she's never really wanted it to be a big deal. The only thing she wanted was for them to be succsesful and it happened.

Also, Kim isn't a fan of parties. Sure she's been to the one thrown for the guys by their manager but she never really enjoyed them.

"Why?" She groaoned. "I personally would rather just do nothing." He looked up at her shocked.

"Kim, it's your 18th birthday. You have to do something. That's like law."

"It is not, and I think the batter is done by now. " He looked down. Sure enough the chocolate batter was nice and creamy. HE pulled put the electronic mixer, but forgetting to turn ot off first.

Chocolate flew everywhere. Kim jumped out of her chair taking a few steps back but that didn't stop the mix flying onto her. JAck dropped the ragin mexer back into the bowl in surprise. THe force of the drop allowed the batter that was in the bowl to flew everwhere.

Kim was yelling at Jack to turn it off but he didn't want to touch the mixer. Chocolate was flying around, the mixer was making unhealthy noises as ih hit the bowl and counter. He made a reach for the outlet but didn't make it. His foot slip on the batter that landed on the floor and he was down.

Kim saw this. Her laugh were just barly audible in his ears. He groand.

"It's not funny." He called over the mixer. Kim walked carfully to the outlet and unplugged it. It stopped.

"Your shirt is ruined." Kim said. His shirt was damaged the most due to his close proximity the the mixer. It used to be just a simple white T-shirt, now it was mostly c0vered in brown. He looked down and shrugged.

"Whatever, I'll get a new one." She rolled her eyes and helped him up.

"Come on. Time to clean everything up." She said.

Sorry for the wait. I've had writers block so I was reading some books to get through it.

Suggestions? Complaints?

I'm going to post a new story, still on Kim and Jack. I think it's called Strangers. Keep an eye out if you want to read it, still working on a few editing problems.
