Chapter 10
Hinata walked in to see that everyone was sitting inside of Ino's living room, their eyes following her and Kankuro's every move. 'Why is everyone staring at us?' Hinata thought with a confused look on her face. She did not realize that everyone was just recently discussing the past adventures that her Fiancé had joined in.
"Hey Hinata….Kankuro…" Ino greeted them with a smile. "What took you guys so long?"
"Oh well the session took longer than we thought it would be." She blushed. "K-Kurenai-sensei is actually leading the sessions."
"Really?" Tenten walked over. "Guess that makes sense, being that she her husband goes to that church." Hinata gasped remembering that Asuma-sensei does go to the church that they are trying to get for their wedding. "So how's she doing? Is the baby driving her crazy yet?" She could feel the tension rising in the room and knew that she had to lighten it up somehow.
Hinata giggled. "No I don't think that she's having any troubles yet." Kankuro watched as the other girls were discussing their teacher's baby and sighed. He saw the smile on Hinata's face and couldn't help but chuckle. He will never get tired of seeing that smile on her face; it always put a smile on his own.
"Man Asuma-sensei must be smoking more than ever." Shikamaru rolled his eyes.
"As much as he smoked in class, I highly doubt that's possible." Sasuke said in his usual bored tone. Sakura giggled while nodding. She stopped and stared at the hand that Hinata's was connected too. 'They can't be…' She bumped Sasuke's arm, gaining his attention, and pointed over at the connected hands. Sasuke's eyebrow rose with a frown on his face. 'This isn't good…'
"So what are we doing today anyway?" Shikamaru asked with a bored look on his face.
"Well we were going to go to the park again but being how late it is…" Ino smiled at Hinata. "We can just watch a movie and order some pizza!" Shikamaru smiled at his girlfriend. For once they were going to do something that he wanted.
"That's it?" Naruto almost shouted. "You've been starving me only to just say we ain't going anywhere?!"
"Shut up Naruto!" Sakura yelled at him. Kankuro watched with slight amusement as Naruto and Sakura started arguing. 'Geez these people in Konoha are fiery…' He looked down at Hinata who watched with a smile on her face. 'And to think that she's friends with them…'
"Sasuke, can you go find a movie?" Ino asked nicely, Sasuke said nothing but walked over to the couch and started searching for a decent movie that everyone would enjoy. Suddenly Kankuro felt a cold stare and looked over to see Hinata's cousin glaring at him with a killing intent in his eyes. 'Geez….' Hinata noticed his discomfort and stare at her cousin, who's gaze quickly moved to the wall beside him. "Hinata come over her!" Ino pulled Hinata away from Kankuro and sat her down with the other girls, leaving Kankuro alone with the boys.
He had never been so uncomfortable around the same sex in his life.
"Don't think we're stupid." Kiba narrowed his eyes at the Sabaku.
Kankuro stepped back. "What the hell are you-?"
"Cut the shit man." Naruto spoke. "We know about your past." Kankuro bit his lip. "We know about all the shit you've done."
"Being a celebrity isn't that great is it?" Shino finally spoke. Kankuro had no idea what to say. Do they know everything? Would they honestly try and push Hinata into not marrying him because of his past?
"Listen I know that I've done some bad things in the past but-."
"Just a warning…" Neji slowly walked over to him. "Hurt Lady Hinata the same way that you've hurt those other women…or treat her like you treated those other women and I will without hesitation kill you." Kankuro saw the look in his eyes, the pure hatred and disgust for the person before him. He knew that look all too well for his own father had shown him that look more than once in his life. Kankuro could not say anything but nod slowly.
"Listen I…I know that I've made mistakes but…." He paused for a moment. "…I want to change for her. I know that it's only been a few days but I've never felt this way about anyone in my whole life and I don't want to ruin that." Neji was about to say something when Kankuro interrupted them. "But I don't have to prove myself to you or any of you. The only person that I need to prove myself to is Hinata and Hinata alone." Neji stared at him for a moment. This was the first time that a boy that Hinata likes, though hard to believe as it is, to actually stand up to him. Usually they would cower beneath his feet. "So I'd like it if you and everyone else would stay out of me and Hinata's business." Neji smirked and crossed his arms.
"Well see….." He simply said and turned away. He will never admit this to anyone but he was actually impressed.
KANKHINA
Meanwhile Hinata was facing a similar issue. Her friends continue to bombard her with questions about her and Kankuro. They continue to tell her things about him that she had already found out and even told them that she was going to be fine. But they would not take her world for it. They did not trust him and nothing was going to change their mind.
"Hinata he isn't a good man." Ino said. "I know that you're strong but there are things about him that I don't think you can handle."
"He is too a good man!" Hinata defended her Fiancé. "He just had an h-hard life and he d-didn't know how to handle it but he told me that he would try to change for me…."
"Really, because from what I remember he sure as hell isn't trying hard enough." Tenten spoke with venom. Ino and Sakura stared at her with confusion. What was she talking about? They looked at the staring contest that's going on between them and frowned. Something was being discussed without their knowledge and it was starting to piss them off.
"Tenten what are you talking about?" Sakura asked.
"Tenten you promised!" Hinata nearly shouted.
"What?!" She balled her fist. "Were you seriously not going to tell them?! They have every right to know that he-."
"Tenten…." Hinata bit her lip. "Y-You promised that you wouldn't tell…."
"Then you tell them!" She crossed her arms. Ino and Sakura exchanged looks. They saw how Hinata continued to touch her wrist, how she would gaze at the ground to avoid their eyes.
"Hinata, you know that you can trust Ino and me…" Sakura said softly. "We're best friends remember." Hinata nodded slowly before taking a deep breath.
"T-The day that I went out with Kankuro for the first time…." Hinata hated this. She didn't want to tell them like this. She wanted to at least wait until her death bed but Tenten had to push the subject out. She had to bring it up. And now Hinata had no other choice than to speak of that night. "W-When he brought me home he um…..kissed me….."
That's it?" Ino placed her hands on her hips. She frowned seeing that Hinata had shaken her head no. "What happened?"
"H-He started to you know….touch me….." The temperature of the room started to increase. Hinata told them what happened. How he had sexually violated her. How he had touched her without her consent. She told them of the fear, the pain that she had endured. Every memory of that night came back to Hinata, almost causing her to break down. She saw the looks on their faces. Anger….sadness….rage…all those emotions showed themselves on her friend's faces. Hinata just hoped that she would be able to calm them down or someone might actually be killed tonight.
KANKHINA
"That bastard….." Sakura muttered with her fist clenched so tight that you can see the white of her knuckles. "I'll kill him….I swear I'll kill him!" Hinata held back the pink haired girl. "Let me go! I'll fucking kill that some of a bitch!"
"If you don't then I will!" Tenten held back the blond with ease. "Why are you stopping us?!" Truthfully Tenten had no idea why she was stopping her friends from attacking Kankuro. He deserved it, in fact he deserved worse than what they were going to do to him. But then the thought of seeing Hinata upset came to her mind. Unfortunately Hinata has grown feelings for him and seeing him get hurt might cause the Hyuga to hate them for the rest of their lives.
"Please you guys can't hurt him!"
"Why not!"
Hinata bit her lip. "B-Because I love him!" The three girls stopped all movement and stared at her with pure and utter shock.
"W-What?" Sakura stuttered out.
"I-I um…." Hinata did not mean for that to come out. She didn't even know if her feelings were that strong but….it was the only way to stop them. "I love him….so please don't hurt him…."
How can you love t-that monster?!" Ino was still in rage on what she had heard. Of all the low down…who the hell does he think he is?! To touch her friend….to basically rape her and think that saying sorry was going to fix it, that bastard deserves to die. But Hinata is standing her not only defending him, protecting him from what he deserves but….confessing that she loves him?
Hinata frowned. "H-He is not a monster….he is my fiancé." She said with complete confidence. "And to show respect for me and be true friends, you will not hurt him." None of them knew what to say. The look in Hinata's eyes was so commanding, so fierce. Her tone was that of her father and less of the shy girl that they had befriended.
"Hinata…." Tenten muttered.
"Besides um…." Hinata blushed. "I um….actually liked it…." The kitchen was silent for a moment before Ino started busting out laughing. Eventually Sakura and Tenten join her in laughter, causing the small girl to blush even more. To think that the shy and innocent Hinata actually liked it when a guy did that to her was beyond laughable.
"O-Okay Hinata…." Ino got up from the ground. "W-We won't kill him…" She said in between giggles 'Yet….' Hinata sighed in relief until a smirk appeared on the blonde's face. "You stayed at his house right?" Hinata nodded with her heart racing. "So then….did you guys do it?"
"Ino…!" Sakura gasped. "Don't ask her that!"
"What I told her that Shikamaru and I did it!" Ino pouted. "And you told us that you and Sasuke did it and Tenten told us that she and Neji did it. It's only fair that Hinata spills the beans!" Hinata looked down.
"Ino….we're different!" Sakura hissed with a smile. Tenten nodded in agreement. This caused Hinata to frown. Why do they continue to think that Hinata can't be like them? Why can be just as dirty and revealing as them if she wanted to!
"A-Actually we didn't necessarily do it….." the three girls turned and faced them.
"What…?" They said in unison.
"I-I said that we didn't really you know do it but…." Hinata blushed. "We um…..did um….oral…." Ino flew on her feet, pulling Sakura down with her.
"Ino you idiot!" She growled but was ignored by the blond.
"Y-You performed oral on him?!" Hinata blushed and nodded. "W-What…?!"
Tenten could not believe that her small friend had actually did something dirty, it was unbelievable. "Hinata…you slut!" She smiled. Hinata gasped and looked away.
So how was it?" Sakura stood back up.
"I-It was um nice….really nice."
"How big is he?" Ino smirked. Hinata almost fainted at the question. "Oh come on you might was well!" Ino sighed. "Fine I'll go first them!" She cleared her throat. "I'd say Shikamaru is….pretty nice I guess. I mean it's not monster big but it ain't small." She giggled. "It's a comfortable size."
"Yeah same with Sasuke." Sakura sat down one of the stools that surrounded the island. "It's just right to me."
"Well Neji is pretty nice too." Tenten chuckled. "I mean probably 8 inches."
"Same." They all said together. They turned to Hinata who kept her mouth shut during the entire conversation. "Come on Hinata." Sakura giggled.
"H-He um…." Hinata sat down. "…He's very big…." She spoke. "M-More than 8 inches at least…." Tenten nearly fell out of her sit.
"What?! You can't be serious." Hinata nodded and used her fingers to show the length. "Wow…."
"Geez…."
"Lucky!" Ino whined. "That's not even far!" They all giggled until a thought came to her. "Hey….who do you think bottoms, Kiba or Naruto?"
"Naruto…."
"Naruto….
"N-Naruto…." They all continued giggling.
"We have to find out!" Ino rushed out of the room for a moment only to return with a reluctant Kiba.
"What the hell Ino?!"
"Shut up and tell us the truth!" Tenten smirked. "Who bottoms…?" Kiba blushed and looked away.
"What the hell kind of person ask that question?!" Hinata giggled at his red face.
"Come on just tell us!"
Kiba sighed, knowing that he was not going to leave until they get an answer. "Who do you think?!"
Everyone stared at one another before giggling. "OMG Naruto bottoms!" Kiba smirked and nodded slowly, causing Ino to laugh even more. "Ha! I knew it since that day that I saw him limping in school!" Ino gasped, another idea popping into her head. "Kiba leave but tell Naruto to get in here!" Kiba shrugged and walked out. Another moment passed until Naruto came in. This situation had turned from dark to light in a matter of minutes. Hinata was relieved but knew that they were just planning on doing something to Kankuro later on. Nothing is ever finished when it comes to them.
"What?!"
Ino smirked. "Just between us…how big is Kiba's you know…." Naruto stared at her for a moment before chuckling.
"Oh so that's what you guys were laughing about! Why didn't you bring me in here earlier?!" Ino smiled.
"Because we're evil now spill!" Naruto sat down and grinned.
Fine well it's about this long." He moved his fingers to show them the length.
"Huh? That's slightly bigger than Sasuke…." Sakura mused. Naruto's grin grew even more.
"And about this thick." He moved his thumb and index so that the tips were almost touching. Hinata honestly did not peg Naruto for being this honest about something as personal as his boyfriend's penis size but she guessed it fit him in some way. Never be able to lie was always a trait that Hinata found interesting about Naruto.
Damn…." Ino said out loud. "That's about as thick as Shikamaru, that's so weird!"
"Same for Neji." Tenten smiled.
Once again Hinata was the last to speak. "I um….Kankuro's is slightly thicker and um…..longer…." Naruto gasped.
"How the hell is that-?" Suddenly a thought came to him. "How do you even know about his size?!"
Ino, coming to the rescue, jumped in their conversation. "Duh Naruto, she's his Fiancée! Of course she would have at least seen it." Naruto frowned. He didn't like the thought of some guy showing his junk off to Hinata. She was like a little sister to him and he was not about to have her be tainted by some boy.
"You guys didn't-?"
"N-No!" Hinata blushed. "I-I'm still a virgin!" Naruto stared at her for a moment before sighing.
"That's good…." Naruto said in relief.
"I'm waiting till we're married to you know do that…." Hinata said softly but still audible. Tenten smiled at her, happy that she's holding out till there's a ring on her finger. She sometimes wishes that she did the same thing but unfortunately it was too late. 'All well can't change the past…'
"Hey I'm gonna start ordering the pizza." Ino spoke. "Sakura and Tenten ask what they want on it." They nodded and walked out. Hinata was about to leave to when Naruto gently grabbed her arm.
"Hey Hinata….can we talk…?" Hinata nodded with a smiled and followed him to the backyard. Hinata had always loved her backyard due to its large abundance of flowers. Beautiful trees hovered over them as vines gently hung on the branches. Hinata did know what Naruto wanted to talk about but it couldn't be that bad.
KANKHINA
"S-So what did you want to talk about?" Hinata asked. Naruto stayed quiet for a moment before clearing his throat.
"I don't trust him…." He finally spoke. Hinata was starting to become tired of hearing this. Everywhere she goes all she hears is I don't trust him here and I don't trust him there. Why can't they just trust her that she knows what she was doing and let her live?
"Naruto if it's about his past then please stop because I know of it." She sighed.
Naruto frowned. "Yeah Hinata it is about his past. He's not a good guy okay?! He's no good! He's been in trouble with the law more than once in his life, has been whoring around the world like it's a damn sport and-."
"N-Naruto I know but I also know that he can change."
"A guy like Kankuro doesn't change in a day!"
"I know that Naruto!" Hinata had never yelled at him before, ever. But she was tired of everyone constantly putting their opinion out. "I know all of that but none of that matters to me. I care about him enough to look beyond those flaws and see a good guy. I hope that one day you see that too but I'm not going to give up on him that easy." Naruto had never heard her speak like this before. Suddenly a thought came to him.
"You….you love him….?" Hinata blushed but nodded.
"Yes I do….and I know that he will keep his promise to me and change…..because he loves me too." Naruto sighed. He was happy that Hinata had found someone to love but really wished it was not someone like Kankuro.
"I just don't want to see you hurt." Hinata smiled at him before wrapping her arms around him.
"I know that Naruto and I'm thankful that you treat me that way….." Hinata said softly.
"You're like my sister Hinata…" He said. "And Like your brother I'm not going to let him off that easily." Hinata giggled.
"I know….now can we go back inside it's starting to get cold." Naruto grinned and nodded. He was not fully convinced that Hinata being with Kankuro was a smart choice. He didn't trust Kankuro for anything and he wasn't going to just nod and wave as she goes into his arms. He was going to keep a close eye and make sure that Kankuro does not treat Hinata as if she is like those other women. 'I'm watching you Sabaku….'
KANKHINA
Eventually Sasuke had found a suitable action movie that should entertain his friends. The pizza came pretty quickly, thanks to the connections between the Akimichi and most of the food places in the city and the fact that Ino's family is close with them, and everyone was sitting and enjoying the action packed flick. Kankuro however was too busy staring at the girl in his arms. How she laid her head on his shoulder with a smile on her face. How she would sometimes glance up at him before turning back to face the large flat screen, hoping that he would not have noticed. How did his life become like this. Now long ago he was running around the world sleeping with whoever he wanted to while doing whatever he wanted. He would drink and smoke whatever without caring about the consequences. Yet here he was, sitting on the floor with his fiancée and her friend's watching a movie. He no longer had this urge to sleep with other women, he no longer wanted to numb his body with drugs, and he no longer had this anger that fuelled his dark adventures. The only thing he wanted….the only thing he needed….was this girl right here.
"Hinata…." Kankuro whispered softly in her ear.
Hinata looked up at him. "Y-Yes Kankuro…." He did not say anything; he just wanted to have her lips on his own. Hinata was surprised but smiled into the kiss. It was small and short but it spoke louder than any words they could have spoken.
Neji narrowed his eyes but kept himself calm down and look away. He needed to trust Hinata, no matter how much he wanted to just rip Kankuro's head off. He did not want to have to experience Hinata's anger once again, no matter how short of a time it was.
Ino yawned and stretched her arms. "Man what time is it?" Shikamaru glanced at the time and saw that it was almost 11 at night.
"11…." Neji and Hinata stared at each other with scared looks on their face. Neji had not realized that it has become so late. He had promised his uncle that he and Hinata would be home at an appropriate time but it seems that he lost track of time.
"Hinata we have to go." Hinata nodded and stood up.
"Wait let me take Hinata home." Kankuro stood up with Hinata. Neji was about to protest when he saw the look on Hinata's face and sighed.
"Very well…." He said with a scowl on his face. "But I'm following you two." Kankuro grinned and nodded. "Come on Tenten." Tenten looked up and nodded.
"Bye guys!" Ino gave them a wide grin. "Don't forget that tomorrow we have to discuss more about your floral arrangements!" Hinata nodded and waved goodbye. Ino sighed and turned to face her friends. "This whole wedding thing is very confusing."
"What do you mean confusing?" Shikamaru asked. "She has to marry him because of something that her father signed like before she was born."
"No I mean I get that but I mean like after the wedding."
"What do you mean Ino?" Sakura asked.
Shino sighed and nodded his head. "I think I understand what she might be talking about." Everyone turned to face Shino. "What she means is that when Hinata marries Kankuro, would she stay in Konoha or….move to Suna." The room fell silent, the movie completely forgotten. Truthfully no one wanted to discuss this matter. No one wanted to think about her having a possibility of leaving them. Because if they think about it…then the feeling of her actually disappearing from their lives starts to come to flood in their hearts.
"Yeah….she hasn't really told us about their plans about something like that yet." Kiba scratched the back of his head. "Do you guys think that um….she might actually leave if that was the choice?"
"No….I mean…I don't think so…" Sakura bit her lip.
"Hinata is….too kind." Shino sighed. "She would not want to inconvenience anyone, especially her husband. So unfortunately the odds of her actually staying are not in our favor.
"Yeah but I mean she still has to go to school."
Sasuke looked up at the Inuzuka. "She can go to school there." Kiba frowned at Sasuke. "Listen I'm not saying I want her gone, because she's probably the only one here that doesn't completely annoy me." He stopped and stared at Sakura who was narrowing her eyes. "That and Sakura…." He muttered. "But I'm not going to have my hopes completely up for something that might not happen."
"Sasuke has a point." Sakura muttered softly. "Whether we like it or not…Hinata might be leaving us."
"Which is why we have to make this last days with her amazing!" Ino jumped up. "No matter how much we want to pound her fiancé's face in. We can't let her leave thinking that her friend's hate her choice."
"Yeah but….why does she have to marry a guy like that." Everyone nodded. "I mean with his past….."
"Yeah and to think that eventually his going to be her husband…." Naruto muttered.
"But did you guys look at the way he was holding her?" Ino sighed. "It was so romantic." Shikamaru rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, it looked like he was scared of her breaking or something." Sakura said with a dreamy look on her face. Even though she still wanted to ring his neck for touching her friend, even she had to admit that it was cute seeing them like that. "They almost looked like an actual couple."
"Yeah but let's not forget what this is." Shino said in a deep tone. "This is not a relationship by choice."
"Yeah and with this guy's record he could be with Hinata one night then ten other women the next." Kiba growled. The room was silent. Would Kankuro do something like that to Hinata? Would he not let this marriage change his way of living, would he continue his ways? They wanted to believe that Hinata could change him. That she could bring out the good in him and make him a better person but…what if he doesn't.
"You guys make it seem like he's done it already." Shikamaru spoke, shattering the silent spell on them. "I don't know much about the guy besides what I've read but I can tell that he really does care for Hinata."
"How can you be so sure?" Naruto narrowed his eyes.
Shikamaru blushed and looked away. He didn't want them to know that he could tell by the look in Kankuro's eyes whenever he stares at Hinata. The look of such love, admiration, protectiveness….longing….It's the same look that he sees in Sasuke, Kiba, Neji, their fathers, his father, his Sensei, himself. They all have this same look that just tells the person that they love them. He knew that Kankuro really does want to change for Hinata, for who wouldn't change into a better person for the one they love. He looked over at Ino and gave her a soft smile. He knows that he would.
KANKHINA
"Hey Hinata…." Hinata looked over at Kankuro who had a concentrated look on his face.
"Yes Kankuro…?" They stopped at a red light, giving Kankuro a chance to stare at his fiancée's hypnotizing eyes.
"I was wondering….what is your plans after we get married?" Hinata gave him a confused look.
"What do you mean?"
Kankuro sighed. "I mean do you want to stay here or move back to Suna with me?" Hinata inwardly gasped at his question. She had hoped that this wouldn't come up so soon but she guessed since their wedding was in two months it kind of made sense.
"I-I um…." She had no idea what to say. Sure she would love to at least finish her high school career in Konoha but….she didn't want to inconvenience Kankuro. He was a busy man and he had certain obligations in Suna that he needed to think of first. So maybe it would make things easier if maybe she…move to Suna. The thought was scary. She was going to leave her friends and family behind; she was going to be left alone.
"Because I was thinking….." Hinata looked up and stared at her Fiancé's face. Every time she sees his face her heart couldn't help but accelerate. He was just so handsome, so rough yet smooth. She never thought she would be attracted to such a man yet she couldn't help but want to just jump him right then and there. Thankfully she has a strong will of self-control over her hormones. "….If it might be easier if we stayed her, at least until you graduate." Hinata gasped with a tear running down her eye.
"B-but what about-."
"Don't worry about all that, I have guys that can handle all that shit-I um mean stuff and just send me everything." He gave her a smile.
"Kankuro that's too much, I don't want to-."
"Hinata…." Kankuro said in a soft tone. "….It's really okay." She couldn't help it and wrapped her arms around him with tears running down her face.
"K-Kankuro I-I don't know what t-to say….."
Kankuro sighed into her embrace. "You don't have to say anything Hinata." Hinata backed away slowly only to gently press her lips on his own. How could she ever repay him for what he has done? She had feared this whole time that she would have to leave her friend's behind but….How could such a kind hearted man have such a dark past. She just couldn't see him in such a way. Sure she can see him as some sort of a player but besides that he has been nothing but a sweet and kind man. Unfortunately their moment had to end due to them holding up traffic. Kankuro sighed in slight frustration.
"Come on I better get you home before your father cuts my head off." Hinata smiled at him and nodded. Kankuro turned back to face the road. By the corner of his eyes Kankuro watched his future wife with a warm feeling in his heart. He never thought that making her as happy as she was now would bring such a feeling to him. It was a feeling that he had never felt before, a feeling he didn't want to lose.
