Sup guys! I actually wrote this just after the wedding chapter, but I didn't decide to upload it until now. So enjoy!

Prompt: Hey let's sneak up onto the roof to watch the sunrise.
"Kai. Pst, Kai. Wake up."
The sleeping boy in question swatted at the air with a grumble before burying his face further into his pillow, away from the soft noise. The hushed whispers however, persisted and were now accompanied by a light shake of his shoulder. He shrugged away from the annoying touch.
"Kai, babe wake up."
Finally the red ninja let out a groggy response, "Whada wan?" There was a quiet giggle as a hand was gently placed on his mouth.
"Shh. Don't wake up the others. Now c'mon!" came the murmered reply. Kai sat up and rubbed his eyes, finally seeing that the culprit was his idiot boyfriend.
"Lloyd, it's not even light out. What the actual fu-" again, Lloyd's hand silenced him.
"Shhh I know, just come with me," he whispered as he climbed down from Kai's bunk, mindful of Zane sleeping below. Kai leaned over to look down at him.
"Why?" Lloyd grinned. He held up a red hoodie, one of Kai's favorites, and sported a green one of his own.
"If I told you then it wouldn't be a surprise, now get your butt up."
"Okay fine I'm coming," the brunette stifled a yawn as he climbed down from his warm bed and shivered slightly as his feet hit the floor. Lloyd took his hand and led him down the hall to a window. Beneath it lay two pairs of shoes as well as a blanket and one of Lloyd's smaller backpacks. Kai looked on in confusion, sleep still clouding his mind.
"What's all this?" He asked in a tired murmur. Lloyd cracked open the window as he handed Kai his hoodie. The cold air of the early morning whisked in and the shorter teen shivered before sliding on his jacket and shoes as Lloyd did the same. The blonde then swung the backpack on and climbed out the window onto the second story roof of Yang's temple, where they now resided. Now more awake and alert from the cold, Kai leaned out the window and stared as Lloyd began to slowly make his way up to the very top roof ledge.
"Lloyd," he called in a hushed tone, "What the hell are you doing?"
"Stop asking so many questions and get your ass up here!" Kai sighed and soon followed suit out the window. He matched the taller boy's movements as he climbed up one of the corner pillars to the top of the temple. When he got there he found Lloyd setting up the blanket in the middle of the eastern facing side of the tiles. He shrugged off the backpack and sat down, patting the space beside him. Kai carefully made his way over and tucked his legs under himself as he leaned against Lloyd's firm shoulder.
"So, what was so important that you had to wake me up before dawn for? Not to mention bringing me up here of all places," he said as he tilted his head to look at the other teen. His boyfriend laughed lightly as he pulled out a thermos and wrapped breakfast pastries from his bag.
"Well say whatever you want, but I wanted to watch the sunrise from the best view in Ninjago with my favorite person by my side," he handed Kai the thermos as he unwrapped a cherry danish. The brunette shook his head with a laugh and lightly smacked Lloyd's arm as he took the metal container.
"God why do you have to be such a romantic!" His blonde companion just planted a kiss to his temple before he gave his reply softly, close to Kai's ear.
"Because I know that you love it," that caused the red ninja to match his color in more than just his gi as he felt his face heat up. Lloyd laughed and pulled him close. Kai screwed off the top of the thermos and the smell of pomegranate tea floated along with the steam. He smiled and kissed Lloyd's jaw.
"Aww babe you got my favorite," he said as he batted his eyes in a lightly mocking manner. Lloyd nuzzled his hair.
"Of course darling. Like I'd ever forget what you love. Besides me that is."
"Shut up!" Kai laughed as he playfully smacked Lloyd's arm before taking a sip of the hot tea. Lloyd handed him a blueberry muffin as he took the thermos back. He drank a little tea as Kai ate his muffin. The two sat in comfortable silence as the sky slowly brightened around them. Eventually the golden glow of the sun peaked out from the horizon. As those first rays cast their light upon the young couple, warming them slightly, Lloyd gently tugged Kai closer in his embrace before whispering softly to him.
"Was it worth it?" Kai rolled his eyes before kissing Lloyd on the cheek.
"Definitely Mr. Romance."
The pair laughed quietly to themselves as the sun slowly rose higher in the sky. Amber eyes met bright green, both illuminated by the golden glow. Both pairs of eyes slipped shut as two sets of lips connected in a gentle dance of affection. Lloyd leaned back against the soft blanket and pulled Kai with him. He held his smaller boyfriend against his chest as the two drifted to sleep. A few hours later, this was how they were found, but the others chose to leave them be in their personal bliss and serenity.
Aww look at these children. This is set between DoD and HoT by the way. Also look at that! Two oneshots done so soon! (Even though I didn't upload this one that fast hehe) How amazing! I know I have main stories to attend to but for now I think I'll focus on these until I can figure out where I'm going with those. Please rate and review!
