Hey guys! Okay don't kill me for the long wait, but I was couldn't find any inspiration to write this chapter, until I was sitting there in my bathroom (sorry about that .) and BOOM inspiration hit me, and it hit me hard so I had to write this chapter unless my inspiration went away forever, and nobody wants that, I'm sure. But enough of my ramblings, and onto the chappie!
Chapter 7
Old Friends and Old Lives
*Iris's POV*
Since my sister was away with evil twin, and I was gonna be alone in our apartment, I'd figured I invite Nikki over so we can catch up, I mean she owes me that much. That, and I hate being alone without my sister here. Before you jump to conclusions, no I'm not dependent on my sister, I just don't like being alone.
"So what brings you to the wonderful land of anime and sushi?" I asked Nikki as we walked in and put our stuff on by the front door, and took off our shoes. Just because my sister wasn't here, that didn't mean she didn't like a mess.
"Please, do you really think I'd let you two cause havoc half way across the world," she answered.
"Well I'd never heard such an insulting thing," I said pretending to be offended, "and what makes you think that we would be causing havoc, we barely started, before you so rudely interrupted our process of world domination".
"Right, I'm glad I came before you guys really did do some damages, or well some serious damages," she said as I rolled my eyes at her and threw a couch cushion, which she so easily dodged, if my sister was here, it would have smacked her straight in the face, which I wouldn't have minded.
"Okay, the whole eight million yen debt thing, wasn't my fault, it was all Dipsy's fault," I had to defend myself.
"Dipsy?" she asked.
"It's just one of the many wonderful nicknames I bestowed upon my sister," I explained.
"I'm not even gonna ask anymore," she stated.
"So tell me, how was life without us?" I asked.
"Peaceful, quiet, calm, need I go on," she answered.
"Oh please, you know you miss us desperately," I retorted.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night," she laughed.
"No but seriously," I looked at her, "how are you?" I had to know if she was okay, I didn't want her going back to that horrible foster home, especially if her asshole of an ex lived across the street.
"I'm fine," she looked at me, "I'm serious, I mean I obviously left that dump, so I wouldn't have to see him again, and now I'm here with you, I would say the both of you, but your sister isn't here, so don't worry about me, how are you?" she said, but her question threw me off. What was I supposed to say? Oh I'm fine, you know my parents died five months ago, my sister and I are now eight million yen in debt, oh and I have a secret that I can't tell my sister or else she'll break down, would you like to stay for dinner by the way? Yeah I definitely couldn't say that.
"I'm fine, other than the fact that I can't shake off the whole my sister got accepted to the most prestigious school of arts in the country, but I couldn't even give her the letter, do you know how bad I feel about that?" I finally let it out, but I still knew I had to tell my sister, but maybe another day.
"Why haven't you told her yet, you know she wouldn't have left you alone right, if there's anything I know, I know Tessa would have gave up everything for you, why do you think she never dated Brandon. She didn't want him to distract her from you," she confessed. I never knew the reason why she never dated, maybe that's why she won't date Hikaru.
"When did she tell you this," I asked trying to hold back tears.
"She told me this on the day I got voted off, we had a pretty deep conversation after Brandon confessed to her," she admitted.
"Wait, Brandon confessed to her? Why?" I asked. I was way too stunned to even think that Brandon would have confessed to my sister.
"He probably wanted to psych her during the finals, you know how Brandon thinks, only about himself," she admitted.
I pondered the thought for a bit, "True."
"Iris you have to promise me something," she looked at me, straight in the eyes, so I knew she was serious.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Promise me that when you're sister gets back, you'll tell her everything," she stated.
"Fine," I sighed.
"So what's up with you and glasses," she asked causing me to blush.
"N-nothing, he just likes to hold our debt against me, with every chance he gets," I simply wasn't a lie, in fact there was nothing going on between us, even though we were really close to kissing, but my sister so rudely interrupted. Plus I didn't even want him at all. "What about you and Mori, I seen the way you guys were staring at each other." Hopefully she'll drop the subject.
"I barely know him for one, and for two, we were not staring at each other like that," she said pointing out the look I was giving her while she was talking, "do you have to poop or something?"
"I do not, I was doing my 'dreamy' look, it works with my sister," I stated.
"Well please stop, 'cause you're not your sister," she joked.
"Anyways, where are you going to sleep tonight?" I asked.
"Honestly, there's this foster home, but I don't wanna go if you're gonna be here by yourself, so can I stay here until Tessa comes back," she asked, knowing I didn't like to be alone.
"Oh god, yes," I said relieved.
"Good, now I'm hungry, let's order pizza or something," she said as she walked to our phones.
Meanwhile, back at the spa
*Tessa's POV*
"Hikaru, I'm hungry," I said, "I need food or I'll just die," I fainted dramatically.
"Stop your whining, room service should be here in a little bit," he answered.
I nodded, and sat on the bed and started to read a book my sister had packed for me. I swear I could feel Hikaru staring, every time I turned the page. I soon started feeling myself getting into the book, that I didn't even feel the bed move when Hikaru laid down on my lap. I did, however, feel his head on my lap. I choose to ignore him and continue reading, please this I just got to the good part of this book, when the character finds out her brother is working for the enemy, even when she nursed him back to health.
"Hey Tessa," Hikaru said, causing me to jump in surprise.
"Yes," I answered.
"How come you're so cold towards me when we're at school, but here you're actually nice," his question actually threw me a bit. Was I really that cold to him? I didn't even know that I was, but then again he is a little ass-hat at school, so in retrospect, he would deserve it. But then again, no one deserved have that kind of cold attitude towards them, regardless.
"I don't really know what to tell you Hikaru," I answered truthfully, "I mean I guess it's my way of blocking you out."
"Why would you block me out," he asked.
"Because I don't want to hurt you, and I don't wanna get hurt again," I responded quietly, hoping he didn't hear me, or that last part.
"Tessa," he said as he put my book down, and gently caressed my cheek, "I would never hurt you, and if I did, I apologize, I just don't want to see you hurt, or sad, or even mad at me," I looked at him, completely shocked. No guys ever been that genuine to me ever. I searched around on his face to see if there was any hint of a joke, but I couldn't find anything, all I saw was his honey amber eyes, and I saw that they held nothing but the truth. I looked down at my book and bit my lip. What was I supposed to say after that? I'm never good at things like this.
"Hikaru, I know you would never hurt me, but I don't want to hurt you," I replied looking at him, "I care way too much for you, and the other guys, and I would hate to hurt you."
"Tessa I don't care if you hurt me, I could get over that, I just don't want to see you sad, Mori told me that the other day he found you crying and huddled in the fetal position by yourself, and I thought someone hurt you, so I suggested this trip for you," he confessed, "I just want to see you smile, and laugh, even if I'm not the one making you laugh or smile, I just want to see you happy." If I barely had feelings for Hikaru, I sure did now. As I planted a kiss on Hikaru's lip, I let a tear fall. I don't know if my parents' did this on purpose, but I know for a fact, that they have some sort of plan that involves Hikaru, I just don't know what yet, but for now, I think I'm gonna enjoy what I have, while I have it.
The Following Day
"Tessa, come on wake up," Hikaru cooed. What am I, a child? "I made strawberry waffles, but if you don't want them, then I'll just eat them all." With that, I instantly got up.
"Don't you dare," I said giving him my most menacing look ever.
He laughed, and kissed my forehead, "Hurry up and eat, get dressed, we have to leave in half an hour, we should make it back by after school activities, so we'll be back for the host club," he explained as I ate my waffles. Damn these taste like heaven! "Oh and we have to tell the others about us, that means your sister too," he stated, even though I wasn't too happy about telling my sister.
"I know, do I have to wear the guys' uniform," I asked. Please say no!
"Yeah, but you don't have to put on the wig, or the wrap until we get there," he explained as I started to pout, hoping that he'll change his mind, "as cute as that is, you still have to wear it, and I'd hurry up too, we only have fifteen minutes," he walked out of the rooms I could get dress. I wonder if my sister will kill him. I guess I'll find out when we get there.
Two hours later
"Well we made it shorter than I expected," Hikaru muttered, "I'll let you get dressed." With that Hikaru got out of the car, and closed the door, and waited for me to finish.
Once I was ready, I got out and walked towards Hikaru, once he saw me, we walked inside the school. I was soon greeted by my sister, who had the grasp of a bear.
"I…missed…you…too….but…..can…you…please….let….go…I…..can't…breathe," I struggled trying to talk, but she then released me.
"Sorry, oh guess what I heard," she said.
"What?" I asked.
"Alexzander's coming here," she answered gleefully.
"Who's Alexzander?" Karou asked.
"Alexzander's one of our old best friends, she's been with us through everything," I explained, "when we lost our parents, we stayed at her place until we moved here."
"Oh," was all he said, but that's typical, I wouldn't know what to say either, "well you could invite her to the host club when she gets here, so that way she won't be alone."
"I'll be sure to do that when she gets here," I said smiling at him.
After School
After I caught up with all my work I missed, I walked into the host club, where Hikaru had just told the others about us, considering how my sister was yelling at him.
"If you so much as hurt her, I will make it my personal mission in life to kill you, do you understand?" she had just finished. Hikaru nodded, and turned to see me, where I flashed him an apologetic smile. I then walked over to a very familiar figure.
"Well Nikki, long time no see," I said, interrupting her and Mori's intense staring contest.
"Hey Tessa, wow, I didn't know you got a sex change," she joked.
"Oh I know, I knew that secretly I was a guy," I retorted.
We started joking around, until the club opened. Today was tropical day, so naturally there was palm trees everywhere, and today's drink was a pina colada and some other fruity drink. Club activities went along perfectly, and by the end I was so tired, I didn't even notice a figure standing by the doorway.
"Um, hi, how can I help you princess?" I offered my hand, but she looked at me quizzical.
"Tessa?" she asked. Then I looked at her closely. She had light brown hair that curled at the ends. And she stared at me with her violet eyes, but there was only one way I was gonna find out if it was truly her.
"Don't move, there's a giant black widow behind you," I lied, but it caused her to scream, and that's when I knew it was her, "hey Alex chill," I said trying to calm her down, but I couldn't stop laughing, "I was kidding, I wanted to see if it was you, and with that scream, I knew it was you, and I also know, that I may possibly go deaf, so thank you for that," I said as I calmed her down.
"You're such a bitch," she hissed, as I was still laughing at her.
"Nice to know that you missed me," I put my hand over my heart, trying to act offended.
"Tessa is this your friend," I didn't even know that Karou was behind me, but I caught the way they looked at each other. Uh-oh, here we go again. Just when I thought I was gonna get a break, here we go.
Well what do you guys think? I tried to make it longer, but I don't know, is it long enough? Anyways enjoy, and REVIEW. Let me know what you think, and before I forget, my new OC belongs to kitkat65930. Thank you for her!
