A/N Hey lovelies! Thanks for coming back to read! This story is getting really fun for me to write so I hope you are liking reading it as much as I enjoy writing it! However, I don't want this to become 30 chapters like the last, so I'm not sure how much longer it will continue. Although, I may make it that long because yolo. Haha, I'm kidding. Sort of. . . .

Chapter 10 Sabotage

"Hey Caroline." Katherine said coming into her room through the window.

"Holy crap!" Caroline shouted, dropping her brush. "You don't just come into my room. Warning would be nice."

"You should have heard me coming. You need to get stronger senses." Katherine said looking in the mirror and doing her hair.

"Yeah, it's my fault." She said sarcastically, walking over to shut and lock her window.

"At least you admit it." Katherine smiled.

Caroline scoffed.

"I've never been in your room before." She said looking around. "It's very. . . Caroline Forbes."

"Really? That's what I was going for!" She said in mock excitement.

"You hit the mark." Katherine looked at a picture of Bonnie, Caroline, Elena, Tyler, and Matt. "Looks like it hit right back too."

"Very funny." Caroline flipped the picture over. "What are you doing here anyway?"

"I'm bored and Elena won't answer my calls." She flopped herself on Caroline's bed.

"Always good to know I'm a first choice."

"You are just full of the sarcastic punches today, huh?"

"Only for you!" She smiled at her. "I had a long night. Couldn't sleep. And Tyler is out of town with his mom, so yeah."

"Me too. Me too."

"Really? What happened to you?"

"Mason and I broke up. And I had this dream that Elena was screaming at me, so after that, I had the misfortune of not being able to sleep either."

"He broke up with you? Why?" Caroline asked, sure that she'd heard Katherine wrong.

"Why do you just assume he broke up with me?" She asked.

"Well did he?"

"Yeah." Katherine said angrily.

"Then don't worry about it." Caroline laughed. "Just answer."

"I drank human blood after I told him I'd stop." She repeated and looked out her blinds.

"But you're Katherine." She said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Katherine whipped her head toward her. "You're point?"

"My point is you have never been supportive of animal blood as a diet."

"I thought I'd give it a try. Didn't work."

"And consequently, neither did your relationship with Mason." She raised and eyebrow at her and chuckled.

"What?" Katherine asked, waiting for Caroline to explain her issue.

"There is no way that you would give up drinking blood. Ever. You may have stopped the killing, which we all apriciate by the way, but no one you'd stop drinking blood all together."

"You don't know that. People change."

"We aren't people!" Caroline shouted. "You sabotaged your relationship on purpose, didn't you?" She put her hands on her hips.

"I care about Mason." Katherine said sadly.

"But you love Damon. Damon! The love of Elena's life." Caroline frowned at her. "What are you trying to do?"

"First of all, I do not love Damon. And he may not be the love of her life. AND," She said looking into her eyes, "I'm not trying anything. I don't know what to do. I do care about Damon, but I would never even try to take him away from Elena. For one, it would be a fruitless attempt, an two, I would never do that to her."

"You better not." Caroline said. "You may be older than me by like, a billion years, but if you hurt my best friend, I'll show you who's the real monster."

"I should hope so. Elena deserves that." Katherine said, zipping up her jacket. "Okay, well, after this, I doubt we'll be able to have fun, so I'm going to go."

"Thanks for dropping in!" Caroline said with a cheesy smile on her face.

"Always a pleasure." Katherine said, equally as fake.

Caroline sighed and shook her head once Katherine left. That girl is going to be the downfall of us all. She though.

A/N So, the length thing didn't realy work out. I plan on rewriting this later this week, because I need to read my other chapters and spruce this up a bit, but I wanted to get something up.
