Chapter 10: Movie Date?

"Whoa, it's already Christmas break." Levy sighed contently as she snuggled into Lucy's loveseat, a cup of hot cocoa in her hands. Lucy nodded as she sipped hers, the two staring at the screen which played a chic flick the two had a mutual love for.

Lucy glanced out her window, it was dark out and the snow was heavy. They had an early release on their last day of school before break today because of it, not that anyone minded.

"Hey, do you know what I should get for Gajeel this Christmas? I can't think of anything." Lucy shrugged, snuggling close to her bestfriend under her big fluffy blanket. Levy was so warm. "No clue. I'm sure you'll think of something before the time comes, we still have five days." Levy nodded.

"Heh. Now thatI think about it, I'm not the first to sleep over here." Lucy lifted a brow at Levy. "What are you talking about? You've been over here countless times." Levy smiled at Lucy. "But I still wasn't your first. If I'm correct, Natsu took your sleepover virginity." Lucy's face flushed.

"LEVY-CHAN! Why'd you have to put it like that!? And for the the last time it was only because of tutoring and he wouldn't wake up!"

"He was asleep on your lap."

"IT WASN'T LIKE THAT!"

"Your lap."

"LEVY-CHAN!"

"Lap."

"STOP IT~!"

"...Lap."

"Ugh! I can't stand you, you know that!? And that was ages ago!"

"Not really." Levy smiled at Lucy before a gleam shined in her eye." I'm pretty sure that's not all you guys did that night." Lucy nodded, "You're right." Levy's eyes widened, "W-WHA- You're serious!?" Now it was Levy's turn to turn red, Lucy nodded.

"Not only did he sleepover but..." Levy's eyes sparkled as she leaned in.

"But?" She continued, itching with curiosity. Lucy smiled at her.

"We also... HAD A TUTORING SESSION!" Levy cried as Lucy turned back to the movie, chugging her hot chocolate before it got cold. "Lu-chan! You're horrible!" Levy whined, Lucy smirked.

"That's my specialty."

Lucy's eyes opened slowly to the sound of buzzing by her head. She lifted her head and sighed with a small smile when she saw that her and Levy must've fallen asleep on the couch. She heard the buzzing again and looked to the ground in front of the couch, it was her phone.

"Who keeps blowing up my phone?" Levy yawned next to her, rubbing her eyes before sitting up and looking at her phone as well. "Who is it?" Lucy looked at the name in a bubble on her lock screen.

"Natsu..."

"Ohh?" Levy peered over her shoulder as Lucy unlocked the screen to see his texts. "He spammed me..." Lucy sighed as she scrolled through all the texts from him basically telling her to 'wake up', or 'get your lazy ass up' to the way bottom until she stopped.

'Wanna hang out today? I have nothing to do.'

Levy smiled at Lucy while she just calmly texted back.

'Then get a job.' She replied. A few seconds later her phone buzzed again.

'It's alive!?' Levy giggled, getting up to stretch. "You should go, I have a date with Gajeel later anyway." Lucy sighed, "But I really just wanted to work on my novel today..." Levy laughed. "Stop being a baby, you still have all break to write."

"I guess.." Lucy commented as she replied to Natsu.

'Haha. Very funny. What do you want to do?' She sent and waited for his reply, she got up and went to make a bowl of cereal while Levy headed to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready before she headed out on her date.

Lucy giggled, her friends were just too comfortable in her home. Lucy looked down at her phone when she heard it buzz again while she munched on her cereal.

'A MOVIE!' Lucy took another bite out of her cereal as she poked the hone keyboard with her free hand.

'What movie?'

'That new ninja movie that just came out. 3'

Lucy laughed at the emoticon, munching down on her cereal.

'k, I guess I can come. What time?' Natsu replied in an instant and Lucy wondered if actually even read the text.

'Think you can meet me at the subway station in an hour?'

'Yeah.'

'Cool \( -3-)/ See you then!' Lucy smiled at her phone while she ate her cereal.

"Levy-chan!" Lucy hollered over to the closed bathroom door.

"What!" A reply could be heard behind the door.

"Don't take too long prettying yourself up 'cause I gotta go places too."

"Ooh! So you accepted the date!?" Levy yelled through the door just as a blow-dryer turned on.

"It's NOT a date!" Lucy was pretty sure Levy couldn't hear her anymore though so Lucy finished up her meal and ut it in the sink before heading over to her dresser to decide what to wear. She still had to look cute though, right?

Lucy huffed as she jogged through the crowd, looking for a pink head, when she found it she hollered for him. She was actually kinda late since Levy ended up taking ages and Lucy did too and ended up looking too dressed up. Her hair was up in a loose bun on the top of her head with a flower pin and she was dressed in her favorite winter clothes. Which were cute of course.

Natsu whipped his head over to her with a glare, causing her to slow down a bit. "What are you slowing down for? Do you want us to miss our train!?" He scowled at her as he grabbed her arm, tugging her into the train before the door closed behind them.

"That was close... Hey, if you would've gotten here earlier we would have to be standing now, look how crowded it is in here." Natsu whined, Lucy sighed and cover his mouth, "Ugh, stop crying like a big baby, you're lucky I came at all."

Natsu removed her hand and smiled at her, that big toothy grin of his. The train started to move abruptly, causing Natsu to hold onto the rail above him, but Lucy, not being able to reach it, fell into him instead.

"Ooph, hey don't tackle me." He chastised, Lucy gripped on to his jacket, looking up at him. "Well I can't reach the rail so what am I supposed to do?" Natsu smirked down at her, "Well we wouldn't have this problem if-"

"I heard you the first time!" Lucy blushed a little in embarrassment. Now that she thought about it, she was awfully close to Natsu and he hovered over her, they were right by the door and she felt caged in by him. It was like something out of one of the romance books she'd read... Just not as romantic.

Natsu glanced down at her struggling to stand by just gripping on to his jacket, "You can hold me if you need to." Lucy's eyes widened and she continued to look at the floor, that would just make their situation even worse. The train came to a curve, causing her to tilt over, also making her wrap her arms around him in the process.

She held on tightly, while one of his arms wrapped around her to steady her as the train turned. Lucy's face was pressed against his chest, in fact, her whole body was pressed against him.

Natsu's arm still seemed to be holding her even though the train was steady again, she glanced up at him to see he was gazing right at her, rather intently. So she looked back down because the longer she looked at him, the more his gaze began to look like a glare for some reason.

The train started slowing and Lucy could almost sigh in relief, until the train jolted again, catching her off-guard again.

"Hurry, we gotta find a spot! This place is filling up quick." Natsu dragged her up the stairs in the theater, soon turning into a row and sitting them where they were smack in he middle. "Hah, bests seats in the house." Lucy giggled at his remark before turning back to the screen, watching the trailers that are featured before the movie.

"Hey." Natsu whispered, Lucy turned her head to him, then looking down at his wiggling hand. "If you ever get scared you can hold my hand if you want." He teasingly smiled at her, Lucy gawked at him. "This isn't even a horror..." Natsu smirked and shrugged watching as she shook her head and turned back to the movie.

Next time, he was gonna have to make it a horror movie then.

"Ughh... That movie was so-"

"Amazing!" Natsu interrupted, his eyes sparkled. Lucy grimaced and shot him a look. "-Disgusting... It was so gory!" Natsu smiled happily, nodding as he began to skip like a child.

"Yeah, but that's what made it so amazing!" He cheered, Lucy rubbed her temple, trying to get the horrifying scene of decapitation and guts flying everywhere.

"Umm, next time, let's not go to a movie like that." Lucy muttered. Natsu turned his head to the blonde girl and smirked. "Ah? What's this? You wanna go out again?" Lucy glanced up at Natsu, "Well yeah, isn't that what friends do?"

Natsu was silent, but soon laughed awkwardly. "Haha, so that's what you meant." Lucy raised a brow, hugging herself as a strong gust of wind came by. "What else would I-..." Lucy paused and shuffled her scarf as realization dawned on her. Did he think this was some kind of date? But she only came because she thought they were just gonna hang out.

But then why'd she dress so pretty for him? But he never said anything about a date. Was it her that was misunderstanding? Did she end up considering it a date? Lucy's face flamed while thoughts flooded through her head.

"Earth to Lucyyy." Lucy suddenly snapped out of it and looked up at Natsu who eyed her curiously. "Man, is being a weirdo a specialty of yours? Wouldn't wanna freak people out actin' like that." Lucy frowned at him, "I am not a weirdo!" Natsu nodded, but he didn't really seem to be listening.

"Mhm, keep telling yourself that." Lucy's cheeks puffed and she looked away, pouting like a child. "So are we gonna get anything to eat or not, 'cause I'm hungry as hell." Natsu groaned as he rubbed his rumbling tummy. Lucy put her finger to her chin in thought, "Well, where would you want to go?"

"Isn't it obvious? I want pizza!" Lucy sighed at Natsu, moving a little closer to his warm body as they walked down the sidewalk. "Well I'm sorry I wasn't born with amazing mind reading powers. Isn't there a little pizza joint down the road?" Natsu nodded happily.

"Yeah, it's one of my favorites. I go there with Gray a lot."

"You actually do stuff with Gray?" Natsu gave her a curious glance before nodding. "Well, yeah? We usually go to the arcade around the corner from the movies." Lucy looked ahead, rubbing her arms to keep some warmth.

"You get cold very easily."

"Where I used to live was warmer during the winter, I lived a bit more south."

"Ah."

The two finally reached the entrance and Lucy walked into the welcoming warmth with a happy sigh. "Oh, how I've missed this warmth." Natsu laughed at her, "We were in the movie theater like five minutes ago."

"Movie theater are freezing, I don't know what you're talking about." She said to him as they went up to order a large pizza.

"Don't you think that'll be too much for the both of us?" Lucy asked Natsu as they found a booth, "Nah, I could eat that whole thing by myself if I wanted to." He stated casually while taking off his jacket and lacing it to his side, leaving him in his long-sleeved shirt that was somewhat body fitting, allowing Lucy to see the bulge of his peck's.

"Fatty." She mumbled, though she knew herself he was everything but that. Natsu looked at her then lifted up his shirt, allowing Lucy to see his glorious abs for the first time.

"Ehh, I think I'm good..." Lucy's face was flaming, "Okay! Okay! ut your shirt back down!" She hollered, turning her head in embarrassment. She definitely wanted to see that again. Natsu was really a sight for sore eyes and she would Padmit that. Complete eyecandy.

Soon enough, their huge pizza was served and Lucy gawked at the size. "Okay, I know we ordered large, but Natsu... I don't even think I'll be able to finish one slice." Natsu was already gobbling away, almost done with his first slice.

"Stop complaining and eat it already before I beat you to it." Lucy was about to retort but she was hungry, so she grabbed a slice and bit into it, instantly falling in love.

With the pizza.

"You really didn't have to walk me home." Lucy smiled at Natsu, standing at the front of her apartment complex. Natsu shrugged, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Well, it's already dark out. Don't need you getting attacked or something by a guy 'cause you seem to be really good at that."

Lucy laughed full heartedly at his remark, making him smile in accomplishment. "Natsu, you don't have to be my bodyguard, you know. But thanks I guess... For always looking out for me I mean." Natsu rubbed the back of his head, suddenly acting a little reticent making Lucy stare.

"Well, when you put it that way..." He chuckled. Okay, he was completely adorable. Lucy smiled, putting her hands behind her back while the two just stood there. Soon she finally backed away, turning to the door.

"Goodnight Natsu." Lucy smiled at him before disappearing into the complex. Natsu stood there for a few more seconds before he too backed away, turning with a smile.

"Goodnight Lucy."
