Hesiod had once said that it took 9 days to get from Earth to Tartarus and vice-versa. Hesiod had obviously not been in a hovercraft/car thing. As they all rocketed towards Earth, Percy felt his eyes grow heavier. He moved a little until he was comfortable, and his vision soon went dark.

He was on a mountain top. The wind blew on his hair while he felt an eerie presence come with it. His grip on his sword tightened. The trees shook lightly, their leaves forming what sounded like a light tinkling sound. "A valiant attempt, Athenacles. Bravo. I tip my hat to you. "A mocking voice rang through the forest.

Athenacles scowled. He drew his sword. The 3 foot long silver blade shone in the sunlight as it pulsed with an otherworldly power. His black eyes closed, and when they opened, they were pure white. "Your reign ends here, Maleficence." A malicious laugh seemed to cause the ground to vibrate. Athenacles planted his feet firmly in the ground.

Shadows pulled together to reveal the form of Maleficence, except she had blonde hair and green eyes. Her skin was tan and she seemed to have a slight smile on her face at all times. "I know you miss her. It matters not. You will join her in a moment. You know you can't beat me. I have unlimited power, and we all know you wouldn't really hurt your dear Eva." She laughed once more while twirling a dagger in her hand. "You can't beat me."

Athenacles shut his eyes tightly. "That doesn't mean I won't try." He took a deep breath and charged Maleficence. She laughed lightly and parried with a conjured sword. She raised her hand and shards of glass flew at him. He cleaved downwards and the shards broke against the sword.

He shot a white beam out of his hand, which Maleficence caught and crushed. "You can't expect to beat me. I have been gaining powers for centuries. Not only that, but no one believes in you, so although you have mastery over these powers, you are as weak as a god." She swung her blade sideways impossibly fast, grazing Athenacles' cheek.

In response, Athenacles punched Maleficence in the face, then he summoned a dagger and shoved it in her throat. Or at least tried to. She melted the dagger with a touch and smirked at him. "Nifty trick, but as I said, no belief reduces your power. On the other hand, everyone's belief is that I will kill you, which gives me more power to beat you." Her beautiful features twisted into an evil smirk. She hit the ground with her sword, and Athenacles flew backwards into a tree. Maleficence made a slashing motion with her sword and Athenacles ducked under a black cut of energy that cut the tree in half. He rolled on the ground, narrowly missing the tree.

Athenacles panted. He yelled and his sword shone white. He threw it and impaled the monster's foot. He ran and jumped onto it and gave Maleficence a ball of white to the face. She growled and fell back. Maleficence looked up, her eyes darkening to black. Wisps of white were still coming off her face.

"You will pay for that. I will see this world destroyed, and you shall watch." She spat, making a cutting motion with her hand. Athenacles fell to his knees and a long, pulsing black cut appeared across his torso. He looked up weakly. Athenacles quickly moved his arm back, and his sword came and impaled itself in her torso.

"Good….good. I did not want to kill you without you putting up a fight." A black ball came into her hands. She smiled coldly at Athenacles. "Goodbye, Athenacles."

This was the end. "I know I can't. However, I must try. For the sake of this world. For the sake of the gods. For the sake of Eva." He inhaled, causing a white orb to appear between his hands. Tears ran down his cheeks. "I tried to stop you but I know I have no chance. With my last breath, I transfer my power along with Legend to the next worthy holder. Goodbye, Earth. Goodbye, mother."

"You did well for someone with nothing left and no hope. In the end, I'll always win." She threw her ball of energy, and it struck Athenacles. The ball was small, about the size of a golf ball, and it sucked itself into Athenacles' body. Maleficence opened her hand, and it expanded rapidly, causing Athenacles to explode in a shower of blood.

She didn't notice his ball, which had been sent at her feet. It opened up, and there was a sound like a hundred vacuum cleaners as she was sucked into the ball. It turned gray when she reached, and the mountain collapsed.

Percy woke up gasping. He put his face in his hands as he tried to comprehend what had just happened. He turned to look at Artemis, who was looking at him worriedly. "What do you know about a hero named Athenacles?" He asked.

Artemis frowned. "That is the closest secret guarded by us Gods. However, I see it pertains to your predicament, so I'll tell you. Athenacles was a demigod child of Athena and Poseidon. Shut your mouth."- Percy's mouth was hanging open. "He was a demigod as Athena had a brain child with Poseidon, because she is a virgin goddess like me. He had Poseidon's powers and good looks with Athena's cleverness and eyes. They both loved him very much, so they named him Athenacles- The Glory of Athena. He was a great hero, and he was given a final quest- to best a monster which no hero had ever bested. She was considered unbeatable, so many of the gods knew he wouldn't return. Poseidon was against his going, but Athena was all for it. 'Our son is powerful. I'm sure he can do this, and I'm the goddess of wisdom. I'm sure we'll see him tomorrow.'" Artemis paused and wiped a couple tears from her eyes. In the back seat, Zoe and Bianca were captivated by the story.

"You see, Athenacles had a special power. He could control this white energy and use it to manipulate the battlefield to his advantage. You of course, discovered more uses, but he had not faced these Trials you have. Once Hades felt his soul enter the Underworld, he told the Council. Athena was devastated, and Poseidon hated her ever since. Hera hated every demigod ever since, since they reminded her of Athenacles. Zeus grew smug and arrogant because now there was no one happy enough with the world to care what he did. Athena has been mad ever since to any sons of Poseidon. She sort of likes you though." Artemis shrugged. Her silver eyes were full of pain.

"Wait." Zoe said. Her onyx eyes swept over Percy really quickly. "Is it possible that Percy is Athena's son? I remember I had my powers bound and my looks changed when I was with Atlas. Is it possible the same has been done with Percy?"

Artemis glanced at Percy. "I suppose I could just check." She held her hands up, and a faint shimmer covered her hands. The shimmer went over Percy's body, and glowed a second. A gray outline emerged. "Di Immortales! Wait a moment Percy, we'll get that disguise off of you and unbound your powers." Artemis' hands glowed for a moment, and then Percy glowed as well.

His unruly black hair became tidier, and his hair lightened a little so that it was almost brown. His nose shrunk a little, and his jaw became broader and more defined. His eyes became light gray, almost white, and the Legend power because small tendrils to seep into his eyes, so that it almost seemed like his eyes were cracked. His face became more angler and aristocrat looking.

Percy blanked as knowledge flooded his brain. Everything he looked at made him curious, and then his knowledge would quench the curiosity. It was like he was analyzing everything. Artemis gasped. "You're not a brain child…"

The car reached Olympus at that exact moment. Coincidentally, Poseidon and Athena were right there. They seemed to be in an argument.

"We need to tell him. It will only help him!" Poseidon yelled frustatedly. He huffed and threw his trident at his throne. It slammed with the force of a rocket, but the throne was unscathed.

"Do not take that tone with me." Athena glared at Poseidon. She wiped her eyes. "It's just that that I can't let it happen again. Not after..." Poseidon hugged Athena.

That's when all hell broke loose.

Tell me how I did! Still kinda rusty lol
