A few days later, Kit sat on her bed staring at the blank wall. Her arms hugged her knees as she rocked back and forth. It was her fourth day straight without sleep and she was starting to really go crazy.

Looking at the door, Kit climbed off the bed and staggered over to it.

"Mom! Mommy, please come in here! I need you." She called, dropping down next to the door and listlessly knocking on it.

After about ten minutes of knocking and scratching at the door, Kit fell over onto her side and fell into a deep sleep.

When Kit opened her eyes, she was in the boiler room and Freddy was smiling at her wickedly.

"Hello again, princess." He said darkly.

Kit felt a thick chain around her wrists, holding her off the ground.

"Please, let me go." She cried.

"It seems like you need to be taught some discipline." Freddy sneered, stepping forward, claw extended.

"No! Don't! Please." Kit screamed, weakly tugging at the chains.

"Brace yourself, girly. This is going to hurt." Freddy said, slashing Kit across the chest and earning a blood curdling wail from the teenager.

Meanwhile, Maggie carried a tray laden with food to her daughter's room. She felt horrible after arguing with Neil about Westin, but she couldn't let him send her baby away. Truth was, she missed Kit. She hadn't had any kind of conversation with her since the morning Kit tried killing Nikolai.

She reached up and wiped away a tear as she unlocked the padlock and opened the door.

"KIT!" she screamed, dropping the tray and rushing to her daughter's side. "Kit, baby, please wake up." She cried.

When Maggie saw the slash across Kit's chest, she started screaming for Neil.

"What Mag- Kit?!" Neil said, walking into the room. His eyes filled with panic as he watched Maggie cradle Kit.

"Freddy's got her, Neil!" Maggie cried, pressing a shirt to the bleeding wound.

Taking out his cell phone, the therapist called for an ambulance. When he hung up, he knelt down and studied the seventeen year old.

"Aren't you going to say anything?" Maggie hissed.

Neil shook his head. He stared at the girl with emotionless eyes.

Maggie glared at him, but continued to hold Kit to her. It wasn't until the paramedics showed up that she released the girl.

Meanwhile, Nikolai sat with Julian, Kayla and Desi in his room. He explained his conversation with the nurse to them as well as the studies about sleep disorders he had been researching.

"…That's what is wrong with Kit. See, she had mentioned having nightmares before this started. Then, she started to look like she hadn't slept properly in a while." He said.

Julian rolled his eyes.

"Dude, just realize that she finally went crazy and move on." He muttered.

Niko looked at him, unamused.

"Do we have to have dad reset your nose a second time?" he asked.

"You wouldn't hit me a second time" Julian snorted.

He stopped talking when Niko continued to glare.

Kayla looked at them and furrowed her brows.

"So, we have all been dreaming of the same person?" she asked.

Niko shrugged.

Before anyone could say anything else, the bedroom door opened and Alonzo stepped into the room with a grave look on his face.

"Nik, can I talk to you?" he asked.

"Sure, Dad. What's up?" Niko asked, sliding off the bed and following his dad into the hall.

"That was Maggie on the phone. She wants you to meet her at the hospital. Its Kit." Alonzo said, digging his hands into his pockets.

Nikolai studied his dad's face and shook his head.

"D-dad, you can't be serious. Please tell me you're joking!" he demanded.

"Nik, I wouldn't joke about that. Now come on." Alonzo said, grabbing Nik's wrist and dragging him out of the house.

Matilda watched apathetically with crossed arms and muttered something that her son chose to ignore.

"Son, go wait in the car." Alonzo said, pushing Niko out the door.

"Don't take him to see that girl, Lon. It's better for everyone if he doesn't go." Matilda hissed.

"Tillie, its not up for discussion. That is his best friend. He is going." Alonzo retorted before giving her a passionate kiss and leaving.

"Maggie!" Niko gasped, running into Maggie's arms.

The woman whimpered and hugged the teenager tight.

"How is she?! What happened?! She's going to be okay, right?!" Niko rambled, stepping back to look at Maggie.

Ushering Niko over to a chair, Maggie sniffled and grasped his hand.

"Niko, honey, they don't think she'll make it. They said that her body shut itself down after days of no sleep." She said.

Neil approached them and looked at the two.

"Nikolai." He greeted.

"Dr. Gordon." Nik retorted.

Alonzo walked up wearing his lab coat and stethoscope with Yvonne Miller at his side.

"Hello, Maggie." Alonzo greeted with a sad smile.

"Are you going to help her?" Maggie asked.

"We're going to try, Mags. Yvonne here is going to stay with her." Alonzo said.

"So am I." Niko declared, rising from his seat.

"Nik." Alonzo sighed.

"No, dad. I have to stay with her."

Neil began to object when Maggie shot him a dark look.

"I would feel much better if Niko stayed with Kit. I know he will protect her." She said, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder.

Alonzo let out an exasperated sigh, but nodded.

"I guess it couldn't hurt to have a familiar face there in case she does wake up."

Nikolai smirked triumphantly and followed Yvonne to Kit's room.

Maggie twisted the tissue in her hands and bit her lip.

"God, please look after my baby. Please don't take her from me now. Not when she has so much to do in her life." She said, clasping her hands and looking up at the ceiling in prayer.

Neil ushered her out of the hospital, his lips pressed into a tight line.

Meanwhile, Kayla, Desi and Julian had all fallen asleep in Nik's room.

Desi opened her eyes to the sound of applause and smiled at the audience who were throwing roses at her feet.

She reached up and smiled even bigger when she felt a crown on her head.

"Your Miss America, ladies and gentleman!" the emcee announced.

As she walked to the front of the stage, she noticed that the heel of her pump was loose. Ignoring it, she waved at her many admirers. Right as she stepped on into the spotlight at the front of the stage, she fell through.

Her screams fell on deaf ears as everyone continued to smile and clap.

Desi hurdled through the layers of earth and darkness until she hit the boiler room floor.

With a groan, she sat up and held a hand to her head.

"Hello?" she called, rising to her feet.

Before her eyes, the boiler room transformed into a hospital waiting room. Desi walked up to the receptionist desk.

"Excuse me?" Desi asked.

The receptionist, a frumpy looking woman with a mop of disheveled orange-red curls, looked up at her.

"Oh! You're here. You are late." She said.

"For what?" Desi demanded.

"Your surgery, of course!" the other woman said.

Before Desi could even blink, she was being wrestled onto a gurney and wheeled into the OR.

"Stop! What are you doing?!" the teen girl screamed.

"Hold still, girl." The doctor said.

Desi struggled.

"What is this for?" she spat.

"Don't worry. It's just a routine face lift." The doctor answered with a menacing voice. He pulled his mask down to reveal himself as Freddy then flashed his claw.

Desi let out a blood curdling scream as Freddy began slicing into her face.

After a few minutes, Desi's screaming and struggling ceased.

"Time of death, six fifteen pm." Freddy said, dropping the face into a garbage can and leaving to find the other two in his labyrinth.

Kayla woke up with a start.

"Julian. Julian, wake up." She said, shaking him.

Her boyfriend opened his eyes and looked up at her.

"What's up, Kay?" he yawned.

"We fell asleep." Kayla hissed.

"Nikolai was just trying to scare you." Julian shrugged.

The Chinese girl rolled her eyes and went to wake up Desi.

"Desirea." She said, shaking her.

When her best friend just rolled off the bed, lifeless, she started screaming.

"Fuck." Julian gasped.

Matilda came running in, alarmed.

"What is going on?" she asked.

When she saw Desi, she screamed and immediately called 911.
