They walked on, with Katniss leading them all. Dipper realized he hadn't heard the narrator in his mind and was starting to worry, this adventure was more real then he thought. But then he heard someone he recognized clear her throat in his mind.

"Mabel?" Dipper said aloud making their group turn to face him. He couldn't hide his face fast enough to keep them from seeing his blush. Katniss walked up to him and took his hand.

"I'm sorry, Dipper. But she is gone." Katniss told him. She caught her own tear sliding down her cheek and turned away from him to keep walking.

"Dipper it's me! I'm not dead! I'm back at home, in the shack. I think now that I'm not in the story I'm narrating your journey until the end," Dipper heard his sister's voice in his head. He's never been so happy to hear her. He didn't know how to communicate back with her. He hadn't tried talking to the previous narrator. Dipper walked right into the trap while thinking of how to speak to her.

"Ah!" Dipper screeched as the fog touched his skin.

"The young boy screamed in pain as the fog touched and blistered his skin. The others turned to face the wall of fog slowly advancing towards them from their left. "Run!" Katniss screamed to them and they all ran to the right. Dipper trailed behind as his body started to lose feeling." Mabel said calmly in Dipper's mind. He could tell her voice was forced. She really wanted to say "Dipper run! Get away!"

He wondered what would happen if he died to the fog. Would they escape the story for good? Or would he and Mabel pay the price? He could feel his arm burning and realized it was covered in huge blisters. The others didn't look so good either. Peeta was stumbling over himself. Katniss was helping him run, while Finnick carried Mags over his back. But soon even the strong Finnick was stumbling. He lowered Mags off his back and the strangest thing happened. Mags kissed his forehead and ran to her death in the fog.

"No!" Katniss screamed as she fell to the ground, blistering in the fog. There was no time to think about it.

"They were forced to keep running forward away from the fog until finally they reached the beach surrounding the cornucopia. Dipper turned and noticed the fog squishing up against and invisible wall, unable to penetrate it. He let out a sign in relief but was traumatized by the sight of Mags' death." Mable narrated. To Dipper it sounded as if she was crying. It never occurred to Dipper that she might be able to witness everything as if she were there still. She probably saw Mags die. Dipper turned to see Katniss, Peeta, and Finnick soaking themselves in the water. He could see a white liquid seeping out from their wounds. He walked over slowly and joined them in the water. The relief was instant. It was getting darker on the horizon and they figured they should stay on the beach so they could keep going back to the water. Peeta had already gotten out and walked back to sit against a tree on the shore. Dipper turned around to follow him but stopped short at the sight of the huge monkeys above his head staring with beady eyes from the trees.

A/N: So sorry it took so long for my update. Anyway this chapter was mainly out of my friend Alex's mind. I thought it was an amazing idea so the props go to her! :)
