Hello peasants.

New chappie, short. But it's the Tenth! Woohoo!

I was originally going to stop at ten... but that's not gonna happen now. I love doing this too much... in a completely emotionally stable and sane way.

Song that I truly recommend for this particular chappie: Never let me go by Florence and the machine. Trust me, its works.

Disclaimer: I don't own KHR

Warning: This contains drowning... if you have experience with this please don't read this... also, if you have claustrophobia, it mentions it.

Enjoy at your own risk~

"Be careful, Lambo!" Seventeen year old Tsuna yelled. Winter had fallen in Florence, Italy. Tsuna and the Tenth Gen had made a skating rink from the mansions frozen lake.

Lambo had dragged him out for a late night skate, and Tsuna knew that if he did go Lambo would just go on his own... wanting to enjoy the last of it since Spring was on its way.

And Lambo ice-skating alone at Ten o'clock was a terrible idea... The boy always hurt himself and the ice was a dangerous place.

So, there he was, skating (elegantly, mind you) with Lambo in the cold night with only the full moon to illuminate their actions

Tsuna had to admit that this was nice.

It was so calm, so tranquil. Everything was still.

It was a rare thing for the young mafia boss.

His life was always so busy. From meetings, to paperwork, to loud and energetic family outings... it was rather exhausting.

So, Tsuna enjoyed the quiet.

"Hey, Tsuna-nii, watch this!" Lambo cried, just before leaping into the air and spinning. He landed well and skidded towards Tsuna.

"Lambo, don't be so careless, you can really hurt yourself!" He scolded.

Lambo pouted, before turning and doing more dangerous tricks.

"Lambo!" He cried, moving to stop him.

"No, Tsuna-nii. I wanna have fun, you're a spoil sport!" He squealed, before speeding up and twirling in mid air, landing backwards... But he lost his balance and fell hard in the middle of the pond.

And then they heard an almighty crack.

Lambo looked down shakily... and saw cracks beneath his body.

Spider web like cracks spread out from his body, stretching a metre wide.

Lambo freaked out, standing up. At his movement, the ice cracked more, threatening to take him down and into oblivion.

He knew what happened when you fell into that cold ice... Gokudera had told him once to scare him.

Your body froze up at the immediate cold. Your blood grew sluggish as you struggled to keep afloat but also to breathe... but then, you lost the battle and floated down to the bottom of the lake until they fished your body out when Spring came.

"ambo!..Lambo!" Tsuna screamed. Lambo turned to him, hyperventilating.

"Help me Tsuna-nii. I'm sorry I was mean...just please help me." He cried out, tears falling down his face.

"Yes, Lambo. Don't worry, I'll get you out" Tsuna said, keeping his voice even and calm.

Lambo started shaking in fear as Tsuna thought of a way to save him.

The mansion was ages away, about 500 metres ahead... nobody would hear his yells for help. He couldn't move any closer either. Tsuna racked his brains... before an idea hit his mind.

"Okay Lambo, were going to play a game." He said, smiling.

"Tsuna-nii! I don't want to play, I'm scared!" Lambo sniffed, terrified.

"No, no no. Don't worry, its fine. Do you remember Hop-Scotch?" He asked. At Lambo's shaky nod, he continued, not daring to move. "Okay, that's exactly what you have to do now. Just one, two, three, over to me and you will be safe." He said, and surprised himself with how calming his voice was.

But inside, he was terrified.

What if it didn't work? What if Lambo died?

No... Tsuna would not let that happen.

He would save Lambo, no matter what.

Lambo was his guardian, his little brother... He would save him.

"o-okay..." Lambo said, before inching forward one step.

The ice cracked more, but he went on, trusting his Tsuna-nii to save him.

He took two more steps, and was swept away to the side by Tsuna. He fell to the side, skidding to the edge of the pond. Safe.

The force of shoving Lambo away from the danger, sent Tsuna spiralling into the exact same spot Lambo was in...

The ice made a sickening crunch.

He was ten years older than the little seven year old... and a whole lot heavier.

He smothered his terror at this realisation, smiling over at Lambo.

"It's okay." He said sadly... and then the ice caved in.

The freezing coldness enveloped him... it hit him like a freight train. He screamed in unbearable pain, inhaling more of the freezing coldness and it went down his throat like ice fire and burning his lungs. It felt like somebody had shoved shards of glass down his throat and into his lungs.

He couldn't breathe, couldn't think. He screamed again, the good, pure air in his lungs replaced by the unbearable glass shards that ripped him up from the inside out.

He kicked and struggled, hands around his throat, trying to find more of that pure and beautiful air.

His head broke the surface and he lifted is stiff limbs and clawed at the broken ice, trying to stay afloat. He tried to fill his lungs with the pure oxygen, but they were full of the burning pain.

He only got a small bit of that precious air, until he became aware of his surroundings.

He could hear Lambo screaming. He went to talk to him, to comfort the boy...

But then the ice cracked and he went back under.

The glass shards where all around him now, cutting into his clothing and skin. He clawed away at the feeling, his blunt nails only adding more pain.

He felt tears run from his tightly closed eyes as he choked on the glass shards... he opened his eyes, trying to find which way was up, which way would save his life...but it only allowed the glass shards to stick into his eyes.

He screamed again, slamming his eyelids shut.

He forced his eyes open again, screaming in pain as he felt the glass shards stick into his vulnerable eyes... but he saw a light.

He kicked and struggled, trying to get his stiff and dying limbs to obey him. The light was getting closer, and felt a spike of relief though the pain... overwhelming it and filling him with hope...

Until he hit something hard.

It shocked him, his dying mind not allowing enough coordination to stop him from banging his head harshly.

He didn't understand, his mind was not making sense.

He bashed at the hard object, robbed of his sight and his hearing.

He struggled, terror beginning to fill him as his air disappeared.

That was when he realised... he'd hit solid ice.

We could feel the glass shards closing in on him... it was everywhere, crushing him and suffocating him.

There was no way up, no way out.

He was trapped.

He screamed, the full pain and terror sinking in.

His air left him... he felt himself sinking.

No... he couldn't die... he couldn't...

He tried to remember how this all happened... how a mafia boss had scummed to this.

Why was he here again?

Where was he?

He tried to breathe unconsciously, his body trying to save him while his mind failed him. He sucked in more of those horrible and terrible glass shards.

It was all over him again. All over his body, cutting his skin apart. It was inside him, ripping him up from the inside.

Why?

Why was this happening to him?

Why?

Why was he dying?

He felt the sharp glass shards digging into his mind as he sank to the bottom of the lake.

Why?

Tada~

It was very short, I know... but it was good?

I hope so... tell me what you think.

God Bless,
