Happy New Year dear old friends! Wow! An year slipped by. What a speed time has! Don't you agree? Anyway, since I have post the last chapter already, I figured that I have to post the next chapter up too. Pretty smart huh? :P
Cautions: I don't want to be annoying by reminding this again and again but, Italics in 'Apostrophes' are for personal thoughts.
Special Message: I found an image from Devian art by an artist called 'Lorna'. She got the perfect view of TMNT guys as Human au. And I imagine the guys to be like that in my every human au, TMNT stories. Any one who want to see through my view, you can go to my profile, where I have a link of the pic. I still didn't got any pic of my OCs, although I'm still searching. Plus I said it's based on 2012 series, because I have the view of April, Karai, Shredder, Tang Shen (Nickelodeon got an episode where Tang Shen shows up), human Hamato Yoshi and any other character, who is not an OC, in 2012 style. Although, you can imagine this story to be any version. Nice timing to say that, isn't it? ;P
Disclaimer: Hmm...tell me; why should I write a 'disclaimer', if I ever owned TMNT?
As Scarlette and Leonardo ran towards the inn, it was smoking like crazy. Some customers were running out of the inn to safety, most had handkerchiefs pressed against their lips, while some were coughing with bared lips. People were already gathering around the scene, helping out the smoke coughing people. Even an ambulance showed up to the response of a man, who was also helping out. It was a wonder how only smoke had erupted within the room, with no hint of fire. Judging by the smell, it was obvious the smoke was poisoned. Meaning it was something done in purpose, possibly by a hatred enemy of someone.
And since the smell confirmed that it wasn't any gas or something, that we might use in domestic purposes, but a gas that was used in wars, to destroy enemy bunkers.
"Tie your handkerchief around your mouth!" Leonardo instructed, while he, himself took a handkerchief from his pocket, as he tied it around his mouth as a mask. "What do you think is going on?" Scarlette asked as she ran into the room, through panicked people along-side Leonardo. She adjust the piece of cloth around her mouth, as the raven-haired boy spoke. "I don't know, but I do know that it isn't an accident!" From these words Scarlette's sapphire-blue eyes widen, as the teens neared the sections, where they thought that their family would be staying.
"You mean someone did this on purpose? Like revenge?" Scarlette asked, while the two teens came in front of a room, where the doors were firmly closed. A wooden blog could be seen across the entrance, which confused the two teens. "Might be!" Leonardo replied, as he went to the door, which he was positive that they would be able to find something, more like someone on the other side. He knocked on the door calling for his brothers. 'Or, for dear old god's sake, please be alright!' He prayed for any gods up their listening. He had vowed, to protect his brothers, no matter what. I'm afraid to say that this incident isn't doing any help, to the young leader's guilt swelling mind.
The condition of the air is worsening. If there was someone on the other side, they should really hurry up.
"Raph? Donnie? Mikey? Are you in there?" The raven haired teen waited for a few moment, really hoping that their family wasn't really on the other side of the, wooden door. The sapphire-blue eyed girl, felt the air becoming heavier and heavier for her to breath. So, just as she prepared to tell the raven haired teen, that they might went to safety and possibly might be waiting for them, when a weak voice replied them.
"Leonardo? Is that you?" The voice was unmistakable. A weak voice for their ninjitzu master was something, that doesn't suite very well, that worried the two teenagers to no end. "Sensei! Yes, it's me! Are the others there too? And are you all OK?" He asked back. Leonardo felt kind of stupid for asking that. Of course their not OK! How can they be OK, with poisonous gas filling the atmosphere?
"Yes, they are with me. And I'm afraid we're not OK my son. We would need assistance. I think the door is blocked, and we are too weak..." "We'll try to move it sensei!" The two teens set to work quickly. It was obvious that even from the combined strength of the two teens, they won't be able to even budge the blog. And to make the matter even more worse, they were running out of air. 'Seems like I don't have any other options!' Leonardo thought to himself as he turned towards the struggling teen, who was uselessly trying to move the blog.
"Go and get help! I might use some tricks." A confused pair of sapphire blue eyes met his ocean-blue ones, as the teenage girl asked back, with concern. She didn't really will to leave the teen alone, struggling with a heavy blog, specially with the recent events. Being angry with her-self for judging the young leader for an accident, Scarlette snapped her self from those negative thoughts. Even with the determination to follow the young leader to anywhere, the sapphire-blue eyed girl couldn't help herself from questioning.
"What?" She asked as the raven haired teen, looked at her eyes directly, just the way he did to comfort her, -only there was determination this time to get his family to safety-, chasing away all the negative doubts filling the young teen's mind.
"Just trust me and GO!" He said in a firm tone, to which the light-blue haired teen couldn't do anything other than to nod in agreement, and flee to get help. Leonardo looked at the door, as he put his palm on the blog. He never got a chance to do this in ten years, nor he needed to. Plus he was careful to not to spill anything to his adopted family, cause it would put them in grave danger, just like it happened to his previous family.
'Hang on guys! I'll get you out in no time.' He closed his eyes and focused hard, more than he did in his deep meditations. He mostly meditated to get his mind off from the distress, of his family's, label-decease. And from the hope of connecting with his second younger sister again, which he didn't wanted loose hopes in. And what do you know, he was right!
The raven haired teen opened his eyes again, emitting the dark blue shadow of light, which swallowed his eyes in whole. The light wasn't blinding like the previous one, which occurred from his uncontrollable rage. The teen touched the blog with a glowing hand, as his keen ear picked the sound of distant, but surely-approaching foot steps. He must hurry!
'Obey me! Obey me!' He said in a low voice as the blog began to crack, bit by bit. Soon a good crack, which allowed the blog to be cracked open easily by a, ninjitzu learning teen, appeared. The teen allowed a small smile to crept on his lips, as he kicked the door open, as the sapphire blue eyed girl, with few other men came to the sight.
After a few hours, at the teen's home:
Mistress Shen covered the last of the teens, with a warm blanket, as she sat on a nearby chair. A tiresome sigh escaped her lips, as she watched the scene of her family laying on the sick beds of the place's infirmity. Thanks to the geniuses, Donatello and April, the said infirmity had almost everything needed.
"Are they going to be OK?" Scarlette asked, her tone coating concern. "They'll be fine. Doctor said this gas isn't very dangerous one and it has been used in some government laboratories, or some battles, to knock the enemies, or victims out. It's not lethal, but since they're forced to breath in much more, they will take a quite time to wake up again. Unless a miracle happened." She tried to light the situation, but it didn't actually worked, to the tension filled atmosphere.
A moment of concerning silence passed. After which, mistress Shen's curiosity leads her to ask the question, which had been bothering her through out the whole situation. What had happened when she was out of their presence? She only refused to joined the teens' new training session, since she had a very important task at hand, only to have a report after hours they left, that they had been attacked by the foot clan!
She had been very concerned first, but after Leonardo said that everything is fine and there is nothing to worry about, she could take a breath in relief. As Leonardo informed her that they'll be taking a break at a restaurant, to which mistress Shen thought to be okay. But proving her opinion wrong, another report was sent to her saying that, the whole clan, except for two eldest children, who's luck had kept them away from the destruction, had been forced to face a bitter incident.
"Would anyone explain, what happened?" Mistress Shen looked at the two teens. "First, I got a report saying that foots attacked you, and then I got an emergency call, that my whole clan was forced to suffer from poisonous gas, aside from my eldest children in an accident!" "To be honest mistress Shen, we don't know. But it was clear that whatever happened, wasn't an accident." Leonardo said, his narrowed ocean-blue eyes fixed on the sick beds, of which upon his family laid on. They're states clearly said about; yet another failure of him.
Can't he ever protect his brothers, the way he had vowed? Can't he ever be a good big brother? How can he be so careless and...useless? Leonardo sighed. 'Maybe I'm not a good protector after all'. He thought, his narrowed gaze still fixed upon his baby brother's oxygen mask. Maybe he can try out something. But it'll take a lot of energy out from him. Plus he needed to be alone. Cause giving yet another shock to his sister and mother-figure, was the last thing he wanted now. "Not an accident?" Mistress Shen asked, surprised.
"Yea, when we arrived at the room, the door was blocked. And it can't remove from inside. It clearly was something did on purpose." Scarlette agreed to her older brother's point, as the petite's eyes widen. "Did you found anything there?" Mistress Shen asked, as the 17 year old looked at her older adopted sibling saying, "I didn't.". The raven-haired teen shook his head, indicating that he hadn't such of a luck.
Another sigh escaped the slim woman's lips. "Well, I do need a full report of everything happened, while you were away. Meet me at my office." Mistress Shen looked at the eldest teen. Leonardo's ocean-blue gaze went downcast at her question, as mistress Shen left the room for her office . By everything she meant, EVERYTHING. Including somethings, he didn't wanted to repeat by him self, at least not at this occasion.
Sensing his discomfort at explaining the recent occasions to mistress Shen, Scarlette volunteered to go to her, for him. So she put a hand on his shoulder stopping him from walking to wards the slim woman's office, as the said raven haired teen, looked at her with a confused expression. "If you don't want to, and if you won't mind, I'll explain her." Leonardo sighed at her words. "Look Scarley, I know you want to help, and I appreciate it, but I'M the leader. So, if you would excuse me, I should be going."
He tried to leave, but only to be stopped by the firm hand, which instantly grabbed his own. The raven-haired teen sighed annoyed. Can't she just get it? "I know you want to handle this alone, as stubborn as you are." The light-brown haired teen commented, which Leonardo didn't bothered to take seriously.
"Just let me. I know I'll be able to handle it much well!" Before the raven haired teen could protest or say something that would obviously made her change her mind, un-surprisingly at this specific situation, the HARD WAY; the 17 year old could be found running down the hallways, to the familiar work-place of their mother-figure. The raven-haired teen sighed. When the said teen girl set her mind on something, there's no way of changing her will.
Leonardo switched his attention back to the beds. Steady breaths of his siblings pressed against his ears, relaxing him for a brief-second. But it quickly vanished it-self, reminding the eldest teen about their current states. It was like his own consciousness was blaming him. He could almost feel the hot glare of it, nailing him down, to the cemented-ground. Failure! It spat at him, disgusting reflecting it's tone, which wasn't a surprise to the young leader.
After a few seconds, did the young-warrior realized, that he, him-self was giving a good-hot glare to the oxygen mask, which was in a way, could be found there at it's current position because of his failure. If he had at least contained his rage at that time! A sigh escaped his dried lips again. His fault. This was all his fault! He was supposed to be the leader! Which in turn, gave him the responsibility to protect his family. His second family. His second chance. Even though his first and true family still survives -at least some of them-, the raven-haired teen still felt over-flowing guilt.
He titled his head, as one of his early thoughts re-surfaced. Maybe, he CAN try out something after all. He went up to a line of beds, where his three brothers and the three teen girls could be seen lied as a line. The same types of odd looking oxygen masks could be seen, which covered most part of the teens' faces. Their states -unfortunately-, did no good to the teen's ever growing anger. But this time, he took a deep breath, forcing the building rage to the deepest pit of his mind. Anger, won't do any good for him now. Even the last out-burst was the, smallest of his blows.
The task at hand is simple. Even it is, the teen was unsure of this idea. Sure six-seven teens wasn't a challenge at all. But to the earlier, break-the-blog incident, he needed much energy, since he was already a little weaker, as he was running out of the oxygen. So he would have to take a little break after this. But at least, this will do some good to his poor unconscious siblings. The hope-filling teen took a deep breath, calming his eager nerves.
Soon the mystic bolt of dark-blue, re-surfaced in his eyes, as a lop-side smirk formed it-self on his lips. 'Let's do this!'
Scarlette peered inside the office room, taking in the sight of a distressed forty-year old woman, who had her eyes closed, as she pressed her hand against her aching head. Even she knew it would be completely un-necessary, knowing that the nijitzu mastered woman could easily detect her presence, the light-haired teen cleared her thought a little. "Come in!" The black-haired woman looked up, her eyes narrowing a little in confuse, at the teen before her.
"I wasn't expecting you Scarlette. Where is Leonardo?"Mistress Shen asked as the 17 year old teen, sat on a guest chair. "Well, he's in the infirmity. I thought, maybe, you know, it'll be best if I came instead of him." The suspicious look, that the elder y woman sent to the young teenager, made uneasy sweats at the back of Scarlette's neck. The young light brown haired girl bent her fingers nervously, at the tension silence, as the said petite, who sat in front of her, tried to go to the bottom of her soul, through her eyes.
"Seems like you have an unbelievable tale to share. Continue." At her words, Scarlette would have jumped in surprise if she hadn't known that mistress Shen and master Yoshi could read anyone as a book. It was like their own minds were betraying them, in front of this parental-figures. It's a amazing, yet sometimes, a terrible gift indeed. Scarlette took a deep breath, to chase away her uneasiness. "Well, mistress Shen, you remember the tales that you and master Yoshi used to tell us, about mysterious,'twin souls'?"
Mistress Shen's eye brow arched in confusion, at the sudden UN-expected question. But she didn't gave a reply, with not wanting to interrupt the teen's tale. Plus, Scarlette didn't expected one anyway. "And you told us that the tales might or might not be true. But the thing happened to us at the restaurant we stayed, prove the truth of the story".
Mistress Shen's deep brown eyes, widen in surprise, as the teen began to pour out her tale.
Leonardo sat at a couch, placed in the infirmity, as waiting seats, heavily. Most of his energy was drained from him, as a result of his plan. The raven-haired teen was positive that his plan would go success at any case. At least his small team would be okay now.
Some might call him selfish at the thought. They won't be wrong either way. Yes, he was selfish to only use his plan to his brothers and their sisters. And yes, even it was only six teens, with master Yoshi, his body felt like that, someone had squeezed the energy out from him. It would be only a couple of days, before they would wake up again. But to his other siblings, he didn't know. He could have put his plan in to action to them too. But without killing him-self in the process, the said plan would be only a waste of time.
The raven-haired teen isn't afraid to give his life. Specially, if it's for his loved ones. But doing that means also taking another life of his said loved ones. Not to mention the whole family would break from grief and loss. His both families. So he wasn't ready to take that risk. The raven haired teen sighed, wrapping his slender-muscled arms around him self.
Maybe a small nap would do him some good. Yeah, a nap. That word sounds so comforting, that his eyelids were already heavy for his might. The raven-haired teen took another glance at his, half-broken bodies of his siblings and his father-figure. 'Don't worry guys'. The teenager thought. 'You'll be awake in no time.'was his last thought as the raven-haired teen finally gave out, as his mind waved through a dreamless slumber, much to the said teen's relief.
Mistress Shen and Scarlette quickly walked towards the infirmity. The said mistress couldn't at least figure out the exact emotions she's feeling at the particular time. After the tale of her second-eldest child, she felt as her whole being was burning with the said emotions. The legend of the twin soul was real! It would cause a little spin in her mind, but to know that her own eldest child was one of them! Sure, Leonardo might not be her own child, but for the last ten years, she had raised the said teen as her own.
She couldn't hide the fact that, somewhere in that mixture of emotions, there was a tint of anger as it's ingredients. Since she was young, when she first heard the tale, Shen always wanted to find the said souls. Every child has a dream right? But after she grew up and passed the teen age, she no longer saw the story to be true. But, after she passed her age of forty, Shen suddenly got to know that the tale was true AND one of her adopted children IS one of the twins!
It was fair for her to feel angry right? Leonardo WAS one of the twins, and he had kept it as a secret! It broke all of her child hood hopes she had, which she happened to ignore, as her age began to increase. Shen took a deep breath. She was the mother of the said raven-haired teen. Even she somehow got a right to know the reason, the ocean-blue eyed teen might have a good one in fact to hide this from them. Maybe a slight painful one.
The two of them approached at the infirmity, and couldn't help but smiled softly at the sight before them. The raven-haired teen was sleeping soundlessly on the couch. He seemed to be a lot tired, to which the reason was a mystery to the two in front of the door. Maybe he was tired after all the things happened to them, more than they could noticed.
A sigh escaped mistress Shen's lips yet again. She looked at the teenage girl beside her-self, who had her lips still decorated with a smile. The weariness and the tiredness of the long day they had, was clearly shown, just as she saw at the first time her eyes made contact with the two teens, who had a really sad news to share at that time. She re-matched the bruises and cuts on her skin, with the ones she had already seen. "Maybe you should take a rest as well Scarlette." She said which snapped the 17 years old from her, obviously long-lost thoughts.
The light-brown haired teen looked at the thirty year old woman, with her eyes narrowing in confusion. "You had a long day. Taking a rest, would be a good option." Shen pointed out. The sapphire-blue eyed teen had to agree to her. It's being a VERY long day to them. Plus, who knows what fate has got ready to just to throw at to you? Better be ready, than suffering later.
"I do think it's a good option too." Scarlette agreed. "Would you like to go back to your own room?" Mistress Shen's next question, left the teenage-girl in thought. Can she just go back to her room, pretending that nothing happened and just take a sleep?
Plus, it wasn't just her room. It was the room of all the four girls' of their team. Without Kathlene to joke around nor Violete or April to pry off the young teenager off their backs, -in Violete's case, a light painful smack to the said teen's head, just like Raphael do to Michelangelo; or in April's case, giving a long scientific lecture about how Kathelene can get her, either a limb broken or a good hit to head which would leave the young one in an amnesia, which the bright-yellow haired teen hardly took to concern. That was a free drama, she, her-self, always got to and enjoyed watching.
With all of that laughter disappeared, leaving a ghost stillness in their common room, like the room was haunted, was the last thing the second-eldest teen wanted now. Just the thought of a haunted-room made her shiver. The effect of late night horror movies, I can tell you. "I'd rather be here mistress. The couch is big enough for me to sleep too. Plus the silence and the emptiness of the room, is something I would rather prefer to miss."
Chuckling to her words in a silent amuse, and in understanding, mistress Shen looked out of the nearby window. The sun had already set, and the scenario of the pitch-black, starless-night sky could be seen through the glass panel.
The out lines of high sky-scrapers could be seen in a distant. One by one the said sky-scrapers illuminated with artificial light sources, filling for the absence of the star-less night, as they twinkled in a distance. Mistress Shen sighed, thinking just how much that star-less, cloud-filled, pitch-black night sky, reminded her of this particular day. But, it will be only a matter of time, before the clouds chased away with hope, to reveal the twinkling stars once again.
She heard shifting behind her, as the said mistress drew the curtains of the window. Shen moved back to the couch where the 17 year old had already settled her-self in for good slumber, next to the, raven-haired teen who was fast a sleep. "Good night mistress Shen!" Scarlette wished with a soft smile, with her sapphire-blue eyes half closed, welcoming the darkness.
"Good night! And sweet dreams!" Mistress Shen's soft voice, echoed through the light-brown haired teen's turning out mind, as she finally tuned out for the night. As the teen finally fell to a comfortable slumber next to her adopted older brother, mistress Shen grabbed two blankets from the cabin, as she tucked the two teens in. As soon as the soft fabric made contact with his skin, the rave-haired teen opened his eyes lazily, only to have his eyes met with a pair of soft deep brown, a slightly surprised, pair of eyes.
Mistress Shen was kind of surprised as Leonardo opened his eyes slowly, as their eyes met. The raven-haired teen smirked sleepily as he said to his adopted mother, as he sensed the light presence of his younger sister pressed against him-self, as light snores reached his ears. "Wake us up before Mikey and Raph. If not they're gonna tease us to eternity!" Mistress Shen gave out a quite chuckle.
"You'll be fine to sleep now! They won't even know that you were here!" The forty year old petite said kindly, as the raven-haired teen chuckled. "Night...mom!" Leonardo said quietly as the eyes of the petite went wide, with surprise. She would have thought that this was something Leonardo said, because he's half asleep.
But, unknown for her, Leonardo was in his great senses when he said that. He knew that this occasion was a tense filled moment for his mother-figure, just as the both teens. And no one had called the said mistress in the most loving word, any mother could have asked for their entire life-time, after the children in the orphanage grew past their teenage.
So it was wonderful for the forty-year old woman to hear that word, from the mouth of her eldest son, just as Leonardo thought, it must be. In fact, it was more than just a pleasure for the petite, more than teenager could have ever imagined. "Good night...my son!" She said in a soft, lovely tone, as the said teen drifted back to his dream-less slumber.
While wiping out the faint tears from the back of her hand, mistress Shen looked at the Hamato clan, now resting for the night. Her sorrowful, yet encouraging glance rested upon her family, as she silently prayed for them to wake up soon. Life, won't hesitate to throw any thing at you. Either you'll survive her tortures, with added lessons. Or, you'll die.
But at every minute she tries to teach her pupil of how to survive in this cruel society. In a more cruel way of course. And Shen just hoped that her family was strong enough to endure her cruel lessons, and wake up again. With that thought lingering her mind, Tang Shen walked down the hallways, after softly closing the infirmity's door, as she walked towards her own room, for a good slumber.
At the Foot HQ
Tiger Claw entered the throne room, with his icy stern glance forward. Shredder's two adopted daughters could be seen by the said master's throne, as they noticed the foot second-in-command, reporting back from is mission. Emiko slightly arched her eyes towards her sister, who gave a comforting look to the younger kunoichi, which instantly entered a safe feeling to the young one's heart. Both teens hated this man, as much as they did to their so-called master. Tiger Claw was an assassin, a loyal soldier, who always puts his missions and his master before his own priorities. Unfortunately, his loyalty lies upon this heart-less man, who had been labeled as, 'Shredder'.
"I believe that you have brought success Tiger Claw." Shredder's cold voice boomed in the dark throne room. Tiger claw fell to one knee, in a bow which everyone in the clan used to show their respect to wards the blood seeker. Most of was a forced bow, because of their mere fear of loosing their throats, in a very slow tortured death. "I have master. In addition I have found an interesting news."
This caught the special attention of the teenagers, who's head rose a little, in an attempt to hear this, 'interesting news', clearly. "An interesting news?" Shredder repeated, his tone and features displayed, his UN-interest towards this so-called news, if it didn't involve something which would be useful against his most hatred enemy.
"Yes master. And I would be pleased to share the news...alone." His last request made the suspicious flower inside the two teens' minds to bloom, as they narrowed their eyes at the orange haired man. Tiger Claw gave an equal glare to this two young cubs, who was trying to beat him with a staring contest. Emiko lowered her gaze, as fear began to crept through her being at the cold glare of this assassin, while Karai played along, not ready to admit the defeat that easily.
Shredder thought over his most loyal soldier's words, not a bit interested at the staring/glaring contest, held between his second-in-command and his eldest daughter. "Very well." The armored man said at last, gaining the attention of the competitors. "Karai, Emiko, leave us." His cold tone ordered the two teenagers, who bowed to his decision, as the two kunoichis left the throne room, their suspicious looks glued at the assassin's back, who continued to ignore their looks this time.
Karai and Emiko avoided any discussions, until they were safely away and locked in the sleeping chamber, they shared together. Once there Emiko turned towards the only guardian, she knew she can rely upon in this clan, as her light-blue eyes filled with worry and fear. "Do you think whatever that Tiger Claw has to share with Shredder privately, has to do something with aniki?" Her tone made the elder kunoichi frown.
Through out her life, Karai had learned to hate two things mainly, with all of her heart. One, the Shredder. Two, seeing her little sister worried or scared. After they gained knowledge about their older brother's existence, the worry and feared look which could be seen resting upon her wasn't anything strange to the elder kunoichi now. But still it made her blood boil in anger at Shredder, who was the reason for why she's seeing this glance on her little sister.
"I don't know. But if it was about aniki, then Shredder might get to know that I saw him too, and had been hiding this from him this far. So, we have to be careful in these days, until Shredder might get to believe that I didn't knew such a thing." The black-haired kunoichi said."Easier said than done." Emiko commented as Karai repeated the statement, agreeing to her opinion. "Easier said than done." The black-haired kunoichi sighed, knowing how much of danger the two of them were placed in this specific occasion. "For now, let's just wait and see." She said, as the younger kunoichi nodded in agreement.
"So what was it that you wanted to discuss with me privately Tiger Claw?" The Shredder asked the assassin, kneeling in front him. "Yes master." Taking the invitation to continue, the orange-haired, muscled man started his tale.
"As me and my soldiers started to come back after the device was securely placed master, I caught something unique at my sight. Some ONE very unique." At his second-in-command's statement, the Shredder's interest perked up slightly. Tiger Claw was someone, who could be never amazed by anything. Let alone a person, who met his eye on his way in his mission.
"And this unique person is?" The armored man asked, as Tiger Claw lifted his head a little, meeting his master's gaze. His serious golden gaze, was searched by the cold amber eyes of the stone hearted man, for any lies. Tiger Claw had never dared dis-respect his master. His whole loyalty and trust had been sealed upon this blade-carrying man's clan, a long time ago. Letting his master search his eyes for any dis-respect, was something the said orange-haired man did to prove his loyalty and respect it-self.
"Him. Master, Leonardo...is alive" Upon hearing this words, Shredder's eyes went wide slightly, as he arched the said gaze towards the window panels of the room. The sight of the city, which stretched for miles and miles, met his glance. High sky-scrapers stood proudly, dressed up beautifully from artificial light sources, as if the city it-self was alive; beating the night sky to her beauty.
"So we will have another encounter after all." Shredder said, his lips stretching to a dark smirk. "Soon."
