A/N: Hello awesome readers! Okay, so I was looking through this story earlier and realized that there was this small fluff chapter that I had wanted to write but had just forgotten. I would have posted this earlier, but I was having problems with my old laptop (legit, that thing was from 2003. It served its time well *salutes*) so I had to get a new one. So please enjoy this short little chapter!
I stared up at the intimidating paint sample display. I never knew there were so many colours!
"Okay Sealand," Finland said from behind me, "Now that you are officially part of our family, you get to paint your room!"
"Nooooorrggeee! Can we paint our room this color?" Denmark yelled at Norway across the aisle while holding up a bright red paint sample.
"Please choose a less obnoxious color." Norway calmly walked toward us. "And thank you again, Finland, for letting us move into your spare room and even painting it."
"It's not a problem Norway. You practically live here anyways." Finland said with a smile.
"But Norge! How about I paint my side this color and you choose another color that you like for your side?" Denmark got on his knees and gave Norway his best puppy dog eyes. Norway finally gave a tired sigh and nodded at Denmark. Denmark jumped up and hugged Norway, picking him up and twirling him around. Norway wriggled out of the Dane's grip and choked him by his tie.
"You idiot, people are staring." Norway brushed himself off before turning towards me and the displayed paint. "So Sealand, what color are you picking for your room?"
"I don't know. Maybe this color?" I showed him a light blue paint sample, "Light blue is my favourite colour!"
"That's a very nice colour, Sealand. Hmm, I think I'm going to choose a light blue too." Norway said before picking up a paler blue than mine. "Iceland, have you picked out your colour?"
"Yes." Iceland held up a very pale purple colour sample.
"K, then let's find th' paint and head home." Sweden's unexpected voice mumbled from behind me. And I didn't even jump in surprise! Yay progress!
-OLF-
We covered everything in my room with plastic, put on swim cap looking things, and broke out the paint buckets. Denmark and Norway were painting their room and Sweden was helping Iceland with his room, leaving Finland to help me paint mine. But we mostly just played around and pretended to be french artists, even drawing pencil mustaches on each other with the paint. Apparently, we were so distracted that everyone else finished painting before we were even halfway done.
"Behold, the REAL artist is here!" Denmark yelled into my room, sporting his own red mustache, twirling his paintbrush, and holding his leftover paint bucket. Sweden, Norway, and Iceland filed in after him. "Now help me put mustaches on the others." He whispered to us before sending us a wink.
Denmark covered his finger with red paint and attacked Norway. Norway was ready for this, apparently, because he retaliated with his own paint covered hand, smearing pale blue paint all over Denmark's face. Finland had snuck up behind Sweden and smeared a little light blue paint onto Sweden's cheek. Iceland seemed a little left out, so I rubbed a little paint on his arm with a mischievous smile. Before we knew it, we were in an all out paint war. Paint was everywhere (by then, I had fully appreciated the plastic coverings and the swim caps). Blues, red, and purple mixed together in hair, smeared on faces like war paint, and paint flying everywhere.
Eventually, we became tired and ceased our little paint war. Sweden looked around the room, checking for the damage. Paint smears and multicoloured hand prints decorated one wall, while the rest of the room seemed intact. Sweden stared at the wall for a minute before starting to walk out the door, probably to buy more paint, until I ran behind him and tugged on his shirt to stop.
"Wait, I don't want to paint over the hand prints. I sort of like it." I looked back at the wall and smiled as I pointed out who's hand prints were who's.
"I agree, Sealand. It adds more character!" Finland nodded as he gazed at the wall with me.
Sweden looked at the wall and just shrugged. So we left the wall with colourful hand prints on it. And I fell asleep that night staring at my newly painted wall, memorizing each hand print. And wondering what adventures the next day will bring.
A/N: Hey again! Hoped you liked it! I think it was way too short, but it's just a short fun little chapter I had hoped to add on. Anyways, please R&R and thank you for supporting me and this story! Love y'all!
