A Tale of Two Cousins
The group finished setting up camp within twenty minutes of their arrival. They were in a deserted area of a nearby forest. The camp consisted of one large tent, many sleeping bags, and a large bon fire for warmth.
There would be no dinner tonight, because of how late it had become. Sanzo wanted them to be asleep as soon as possible that way in the morning they could get back on the road, and stay the next night at a lodge where there was food and shelter.
Goku of course hated this, but finally gave up his complaints when Sanzo pointed his gun at his face.
"Don't worry Goku we can go find some berries in the forest." Kadence assured him.
Goku nodded his head in appreciation, as one of Sanzo's blood vessels emerged from his head. He hated being defied.
"Oooooh! I wannah go too!" Jordan raised her hands in a voluntary way. "Sides…who can sleep anyways?"
"Well me for one." Hakkai said with a smile while scratching the back of his head in a guilty way. "I drove quite a bit, and could use some sleep."
"Ha, speak for yourself." Gojyo said stretching his arms, "I can hang."
"Yeah, we'll see." Jordan mumbled.
"Sides, the girls will need protection just in case something happens." Gojyo implied as he flexed his arm.
"Well not really…. We have Goku." Jordan said plainly.
"You're such an ungrateful little-." Gojyo was cut off by Kadence.
"You can come but let's just not have any problems, okay?"
"Fine… I'm good. If he promises to keep his hands to himself." Jordan replied with a crossed arm turn.
Gojyo's mouth dropped open, "As if!"
"Well…I don't know…Gojyo, weren't you telling me about what a 'big exterior' she had." Kadence chuckled.
Gojyo's mouth dropped open agape. "Hey! That was a private conversation!" Gojyo protested.
Hakkai chuckled, as the roar of the old man came.
"ALL OF YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP! IF YOUR GONNA GO THEN FUCKIN GO! DON'T KEEP US UP TOO!" Sanzo yelled agitated.
"You know…He actually has a point. Old people need their sleep." Jordan agreed, even though she really didn't care for taking his side.
"How bout I put your ass to sleep as well." Sanzo said pointing his gun at her head.
"You fuck-!" Jordan was cut off quickly.
"So then shall we go?" Kadence asked, as she began walking towards the forest dragging her cousin along by her arm.
"Fine! Just don't get lost." Jordan teased with an evil smirk, as Kadence let go of her wrist.
"Shut up!" she retaliated.
"What do you mean? Does Kadence get lost easily?" Goku asked.
"Well…you see. Ever since we were little my cousin over there, has had this odd talent to find trouble. Like wondering off on her own, tripping, or breaking things."
"Oh…"
"In a nutshell…She's a klutz." Gojyo and Jordan said in sync.
"At least I'm not a cockroach like that stupid perverted Kappa! And at least I don't like every redhead I see!"
Gojyo looked down at the fuming Jordan, "I'll kill you!" she cursed.
"Awww isn't Jordan starting to sound a lot like a certain blonde priest?" Kadence taunted.
Jordan tackled Kadence to the floor. As they started rolling it was hard to see who was actually winning since the dust started to kick up. Gojyo and Goku quickly ran in and separated the girls.
"We tried figuring out how she passed high school with her grades, but we suspect she was good at something, her male teachers really liked! She couldn't have graduated with her brains alone." Jordan yelled at her.
"Oooh you bitch!" Kadence spat as she struggled to free herself from Goku.
"Bring it baby cousin! Bring it!" Jordan smirked as she tried to pull her way out of Gojyo's grip.
"ALL OF YOU! SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GO ALREADY!"
The group turned to see an angry Sanzo a wee bit away pointing his gun directly at the four of them.
Kadence and Jordan raised their hands in a 'don't shoot' way interrupting their aggressive means.
Jordan rolled her eyes and relaxed, "Truce?" she asked the still angry Kadence.
"Truce." She muttered vehemently, the four looked back at the angry Sanzo for approval, but he had already turned the opposite way in his sleeping bag.
"Goku…"
"Yeah?" He chimed.
"If you don't let go of me…I'll make sure you never eat again." Kadence hissed. Looking down at his hands, both Gojyo and Jordan hurled out in laughter.
"I think he wants some of your muffins, Kade." Jordan said teasingly, with laughter.
"Puahahahahahaa, more like grapes!" Gojyo hurled.
Goku quickly looked at where his hands were placed, "You know these actually don't feel like any muffins or grapes I've ever felt before." He said as he moved his hands around.
In the background Kadence could hear Jordan and Gojyo laugh harder.
BAM BAM BAM!
"Um... Goku. Why don't you come here for a second." Hakkai quickly chimed in, before Sanzo could holler and scold.
Goku let go of Kadence to walk over there, as he could hear in the background a very angry Gojyo, "You stupid monk! Why do you always aim in my area!"
"Yeah, you fuck! You almost hit me!" Jordan stammered raising her middle finger.
"Well then how about I try again! I promise I won't miss your two targets!" Sanzo yelled from his bed with his gun.
"Oh fuckkkk you, Wrinkles!" Jordan retaliated.
Goku quickly ignored them once he heard shots fire again, as he got closer to Hakkai.
"Yeah what is it Hakkai?" Goku asked as he sat down by him.
Hakkai quickly explained his situation with Kadence, and when he was finished. Goku was as red as the grapes he thought he was feeling for. With that Hakkai sent him away again to go with the group.
When he arrived he blush fully apologized to Kadence.
"Oh its okay, I understand. You didn't realize what you were doing." Kadence said with a comforting smile.
Goku nodded happily in return.
"Whose the perv now?" Gojyo said as he walked past Goku into the forest.
"You! Stupid Kappa, I'm nothing like you!" Goku yelled out after him.
"Well it's okay Goku. Because now you can say you have experience with the ladies. That's probably more than Gojyo has ever gotten in his life time." Jordan smirked, as she patted him on the head.
Goku blushed and apologized some more.
Gojyo turned around while they continued to walk into the forest, "Yeah right!" He retaliated, "Atleast I don't touch women when they don't want to be touched." He smirked.
"BULLSHIT! Were you or were you not just holding me back earlier?" Jordan questioned.
"Why you-"
"And did you at all, hear me say that I wanted you to hold or even touch me at all?" the 3rd degree continued.
"No but-"
"Exactly! And did you or did you not say that you don't touch women when they don't want to be touched?"
"You little-"
"Well then I rest my case, "Jordan finished, "Sha Gojyo you are still a pervert."
"Yup yup yup!" Kadence nodded in agreement.
"I know thank you, thank you." Jordan bowed.
"You have got to be kidding me…" Gojyo muttered, "Hey! But you know what…I never touched her tits! There's a difference!"
"Goku, pay no attention to him, Gojyo shut up and leave him alone or do you want to wake up with one less "limb" in the morning?" Kadence protested annoyed.
Gojyo rubbed his chin intuitively, "Well, I guess you could consider it a nice big limb huh? Shit, a pretty useful limb if I must say. I don't blame you for wanting to keep it for yourself." Gojyo smiled slyly.
"Oh godddd…." Jordan rolled her eyes.
"That's what she said." Gojyo winked.
I'm so going to be using Sanzo's gun on him tonight, Kadence thought.
"ANYWAYS! TIME TO DROP THIS ANNOYING SUBJECT. I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT GOJYO'S TINY WEINER ANYMORE, AND I DON'T WANT TO HEAR HIS FANTASIES OF IT BEING ANY BIGGER THEN MY PINKY." Jordan said annoyed.
"She would know, she measured for me." Gojyo coughed.
"Oh, so you admit it's as small as my pinky? Good. That solves all questions. Moving on." Jordan said as she walked ahead of the group.
"Wow… Gojyo, I'm just saying this cause I care, but if that's the case, you should really get that checked." Kadence said looking at him in disbelief.
Jordan looked back at the group; seeing Goku on the ground howling with laughter, and then Gojyo going in for a choke hold made her smile. She had to admit they were just as entertaining as they were back home.
"Jordan," a faint whisper came from behind her. Jordan quickly turned around. Did I hear that right? Jordan gave it a long pause before turning again towards her friends.
"Ohhhh Jordannn," The faint whisper chimed.
"Whose there!?" Jordan said.
There was no reply, Jordan turned again, this time thoroughly checking her surroundings.
But still no one.
"Don't mess with me. I don't like games." Jordan said hissing.
"So it is you… ha-ha. Too bad... because this game has just begun." There was a fizzing sound and laughter as the voice faded away.
Jordan stood in a stupor; you have got to be fucking kidding me. Why is it always me?
Hakkai turned in his sleeping bag facing the nearby Sanzo who was sleeping comfortably near the fire.
"You awake Sanzo?" Hakkai whispered, unsure.
"With all that damn noise you been making turning in your bed, how can I not be?" Sanzo grumbled.
"My apologies," Hakkai replied as he straightened out in his sleeping bag. "But in any case, I think we should discuss the recent up comings."
Sanzo turned on his back as well; he placed a cigarette in his mouth and grabbed his lighter
Once the end was lit, and he sighed, he muttered to himself then replied, "Well…Go on."
"I think we still have a few questions that need to be answered…We don't know when the enemy will attack. So maybe we should begin sparring. You know… to train them. This might help them and ourselves get more familiar with their powers. Do you suppose we should stay another day, so we can begin to get some of this done?"
Sanzo took a long drag from his cigarette as if he was thinking; he exhaled and then took in a deep breath. "Do what you want." He finished, as he put out his cigarette and turned on his side again.
Hakkai smiled, and then closed his eyes in pursuit of some sleep; he knew he'd be waking his comrades up early.
Jordan continued to follow Goku, as he led the group through the forest with his nose. Kadence was on his side also sniffing the air, trying to see if she could smell like he smelled.
Gojyo stayed behind to keep an eye on the always-grumpy girl, making sure she didn't get lost behind them. There was no talking, or sharing of glances, no, just awkward silence. Jordan hadn't mentioned a single word to them when the rest of the group had caught up to her.
"Hey red…" Jordan said in deep thought, forgetting her hatred temporarily for the guy, walking a wee bit ahead of her.
"What?" Gojyo replied turning a bit so that he could make out her face.
"Have you heard anything strange in here recently?" She said looking up at him
He was a little surprised by the seriousness on her face, "No. Why did you?"
"I'm sure it's no big deal but yeah… Except there was no one there. So you know, maybe I was just imagining it or something." She said concentrating hard, did that really happen?
"Well what did you hear?" Gojyo replied cocking his eyebrow.
Jordan explained to him what happened, how there was no one there and yet she could feel the whisper right by her ear. How it teased and mocked her and how it said the game had just begun.
"Hey we found the berries!" Goku cooed from the bushes ahead.
"Alright let's head back then." Gojyo urged to the rest of the gang.
"Eh? Why the rush?" Kadence questioned.
"Kade lets… Just go." Jordan replied giving her cousin a strained expression. There was a silent understanding between the group, so no one else pressed the matter further. They quickly grabbed their berries and then headed back towards the camp.
As Jordan and Kadence made their way back slowly to their sleeping bags in the back of the tent, Jordan tripped over a large lump and fell. She cursed to the fire that burned out, for not giving her any light.
"Son of a bitch…." The lump moaned.
"Oops sorry sleeping ugly…" Jordan sarcastically replied.
"Watch it cow", Sanzo retaliated
"Wow…I'm surprised Sanzo actually noticed her boobs." Kadence said surprised.
"Well how could he not, she practically suffocated him with them." Gojyo smirked.
"Stay out of this!" Both Sanzo and Jordan yelled at the two.
"My bad, I have to remember old men need their sleep. Especially lazy ass mother fuckers like you!" She hollered.
"Well he can't really be a mother fucker…He's a virgin he has never fucked a mother." Gojyo corrected with a laugh.
BAM!
"Buahahahahahaha!" Jordan laughed as she fell to the floor again.
"What's a virgin?" Goku asked curiously.
"Oh, just a monk." Kadence added, with a mischievous smirk.
"Buahahahahahahahaha!" You heard again from a laughing Jordan
Hakkai chuckled innocently in his sleep.
"You fucking monk! You almost got me!" Gojyo yelled
"Almost?" Jordan severed her laughing. "I thought he could aim."
Jordan turned towards the monk as she heard a click next to her ear, "Trust me, I won't miss this time." He said from behind his gun.
"Now now Sanzo, we can't kill the girls." Hakkai quickly sat up from his bed.
"It's not like he'll actually get me, have you seen his aim?" Jordan replied sassily.
"Why don't we find out cow." Sanzo threatened.
Jordan's eyes narrowed. "Bring it Grandpa."
There was a two second pause and then
BAM BAM
The group's mouths dropped open, most of them thinking he really did it. The rest in awe and surprise, as to how when Sanzo shot his gun, he was the one that ended up rolling out of the range of each of his bullets.
Jordan's hands were raised blocking her face. When she dropped them to her sides she had a shocked expression. She obviously knew what happened this time, but it didn't stop her eyes from rolling back and shutting. Before she was able to hit the ground, Gojyo managed to catch her.
"Damn she's a lot more trouble than I thought." Gojyo muttered.
Sanzo had a surprised look on his face; he witnessed her powers first hand.
"Is she going to be all right!?" Kadence hollered at Hakkai who was now checking.
"She'll be fine. Her powers seem to be taking a lot of her energy away. But I did notice she managed to stay awake longer to realize what happened. Her body is probably slowly getting used to it. Gojyo do me a favor and move her to her sleeping bag." Hakkai politely asked as he backed away.
Gojyo nodded, then quickly picked her up and laid her down on her bed.
"I'll take over from here Gojyo, thank you." Kadence said as she dismissed Gojyo. Kadence moved her sleeping bag near her cousins then straightened it out.
As both girls went to sleep, Gojyo caught Hakkai's eyes. His facial expression let him know something had happened earlier, something important. There was a silent agreement to talk about it in the morning when they all had their rest (and when Sanzo wasn't homicidal).
