Hey guys once again I am sooooooo sorry about the long period of time in between updates I got a new job and that has taken up so much of my time recently but here we go on with the story
Chapter 10
Epov
I had arrived at the hotel at 20:45 and walked into the bar and ordered a red wine as the synthetic blood that the Japanese were developing had not been made known to the public as we had not made ourselves know to the public, soon but not just yet.
I was waiting in a booth at the corner of the bar so I could get a good vantage point to see her come in, that's if she did I did not yet know if my invitation had been accepted, but I would wait nonetheless, something about Sookie has made me feel like I was a vampire newly born and hungry, I had made sure to feed well before I came as I did not want to lose control in her presence.
I looked to the door at 9 and I saw her, she looked stunning the dress I sent her complimented her in every way, I was staring with my mouth agape, when she noticed me in the booth, she walked over to me and smiled, I stood to allow her to enter the booth.
"Do you like what you see" she said quite brazenly
I nodded dumbfounded at her words and the way she looked was stunning.
We had just ordered her meal and she was looking at me in confusion.
"Listen Eric this is the second time that you have taken me out for dinner and this is also the second time that you haven't eaten. Is it money? Because if it is, I can pay for my meal and one for you as well.
"I assure you Sookie money is of no consequence to me I have enough money to last me a few lifetimes"
"Well Eric if you are trying to impress me with your wealth it won't work I don't hold money in high regard I have my family and my health and I consider myself richer by those standards, money means nothing we get by just fine."
I was again astounded by this lovely woman, would she never cease to amaze me.
Most of the human females that I know and have known have been after one thing well two things good sex and money both of those I could provide well. Sookie did not want either of those.
I needed to get to know Sookie better she intrigued me.
She excused herself from the table before her meal was served to go to the ladies, while she was away the meal was served to the table while she was still in the bathroom lucky for me she had ordered her steak rare so I took the liberty of piercing my finger with my fang and lightly smearing some of my blood on her steak, just a little so I would know if she was in trouble, with the way the queen was sniffing around her cousin I would not be surprised if she turned her attentions toward Sookie once she had grown tired of Hadley, the queen was notorious for being very fickle.
Sookie returned to the table and started her meal which by the noises that she was making while she was eating it, must have been delicious, if she didn't have a meal in front of her would have been quite scandalous.
When finished I asked her if she wanted desert she declined and we made small talk for the rest of the evening, she made some reference to her gran back home and how she hadn't been well but was on the mend now, the way she spoke about her family made me realise that she had a lot of love to give and was loyal to them, I wondered if she knew about her other family the fey but I quickly quashed that notion because if she did then she would know what I was and would not go near me, and for that I was glad.
Spov
"My steak was heavenly I have never tasted one like it."
"I'm glad you liked it, would you like desert"
"No thank you Eric a girl has to watch her figure"
"Oh yes Miss Stackhouse I could watch your figure all night" (by the gods did I just say that out loud)
Oh my god did he just say that wow I could feel the blood rushing to my already heated skin.
Epov
I could see her blush and she smelled delicious it was taking all of my resolve not to whisk her up to her room and sink my fangs into that gorgeous golden brown neck.
I had had enough of all of the small talk I needed to get into Sookie's past to find out what made her tick, I cannot believe what I am about to say but I needed to make her MINE, I hadn't made anyone mine since pam and that was a decision that I would never regret, but with Sookie the feeling was entirely different, Sookie was different she had honour like she would fight for the ones that she loved, you could tell that from the way she spoke about her family, I did not want her to be with anyone else, be it human, vampire or any other supe, because if she was intoxicating to me making me feel like a horny teen in her presence and I was over a thousand. I'm surprised that she hasn't been taken by anyone else, if anyone were to have her it would be me I wanted to protect her; she was already mixed up with Sophie Anne but not to the degree that would put her in any immediate danger.
I needed to make her mine so that if the shit did hit the fan at least I could be there.
But before I made her mine I had to be honest with her as I did not think that she would take to kindly to me if I lied, and I could not glamour her no matter how many times I tried, so all I had was the truth.
Spov
The date I had with Eric was wonderful the food was spectacular and the company even more so the only thing that was wrong was I could hear everybody else in the room even when they were silently eating their meals weather they had enough money or that they were going to tell their wife that they were having an affair right after the next date with the mistress. It was exhausting and I needed to get away from there but I didn't want to cut the date short with Eric he was intriguing and I wanted to find out more. I started to yawn but tried to stifle it because I did not want Eric to think that he was boring me. As I said it was a beautiful date and I did not want it to come to an end.
Epov
I noticed that Sookie was trying to stifle a yawn I would imagine that hearing all of the thoughts of others all day and all night would be exhausting that is why I picked the hotel restaurant as this dates location because I knew it would be particularly busy tonight I needed to see if my suspicious were correct.
I felt bad for putting her in this position but I had to and I am always known to be the pragmatist, kill two birds with one stone right!
I decided to move this up a notch
"Sookie are you bored"
"Not at all, Brain just had a lack of oxygen that's all"
"Sookie my bullshit meter is reading as false"
She grinned at me and told me that it was too noisy down here and would I like to come to her room for a coffee.
That was an offer I would never refuse especially from Sookie.
