DGray-Man: Fallen

"His life was an all ready path, all he had to do was find the trigger. If he had the courage that is."

Chapter 10:

Tragedy

"The following are offically declared as fugitives and traitors of the Order. Branch Chief Komui Lee, General Marian Cross, General Klaud Nine, Exorcists Lenalee Lee and Kanda Yuu and Crow member Howard Link. Sight of any of the mentioned individuals calls for immediate report and captivity. Failure to do so will mean to execution."

An announcement around the whole Order. Section Chief Reever was in shock when he learned the names of the said fugitives. Rather than feeling wrath, he felt concerned for the sudden decision of betraying them. Reever started thinking of reasons why Komui would've chosen to do so.

His trail of thought was interrupted when a kid bumoed into him. "Whoops sorry, uncle!" Timothy playfuly said. Ignoring the uncle, Reever felt envious of how carefree this kid was. "I'm still young." He said ruffling Timothy's hair. "Hey... do you think Allen is wrong?" Timothy suddenl got serious, "You heard the announcement?" He nodded looking disheartened. "What do you think?" In a way he was evasive of his question. "Look I asked first... but I don't think he had anything like what that hitler guy says about him." He meant about Lvellier puttin words in Allen's mouth. Reever was glad this kid wasn't that naive and had a pinch of maturity in him. "Allen is a good guy.. right?" Asking again. "I believe whatever you think is the same as mine." Reever smiled. Yes they knew. Allen isn't the bad guy.

"It looks like they're having a touching moment...!" Komui in tears when he saw Reever and Timothy. "Shhh brother, it's a miracle we haven't been found yet so keep quiet..!" Thy finally managed to enter the order after getting lost in the arc. Following Cross' advice of not entering the labelled doors, they had to look for the unnamed doors. It lead them everywhere, from a deserted area, underwater, a bathroom even at the edge of a cliff where Komui almost fell if Lenalee wasn't there to stop him.

They manage to find a gate after looking at the infinite number of doors in the arc. The gate was just at the outskirts of the Order. A gate oddly placed in a forest. Lenalee eventually remembered that bit was the gate Allen used to runaway from the Order the first time. Sneaking in the order was difficult but of course Lenalee and Komui practically lived their whole lives there, so a few blind spots would make them enter the order safely.

Once they saw Reever, they knew he's one person who's be willing to follow them however Timothy is there. Not that they're doubting him, just that, Timothy had the habit of screaming things out loud. However the time came evetually, Reever sent Timothy out. Now Komui and Lenalee gave the sign and so Komuo approached Reever in stealth mode while Lenalee was on look out. Reever was shocked to see his fallen comrade all well and fine but then he saw him with his index finger to his lips "Shhh..." He asked Reever who seemingly was confused.

"I'll make this short, I know you'll believe me but please listen..."
He exolained the curent situation briefly and instructed him to spread the word to people whom he thinks would trust Komui and the others. Reever was also given the action to go to a cettain place at a certain time disregarding any order other than his. Reever nodded in silence and Komui made his way out quietly. As he left, Reever felt wastsd that he just let Komui go like that. But he never doubted him. The next thing Reever did was look for General Socalo.

"Brother... I think it's time to leave." Lenalee said waiting at the gate. Komui hesitated a bit before leaving. "This will be the last time we'll see this place as a whole." Lenalee sadly smiled at the truth. "Yes, because the next time we'll see it, it'll be in ruins."

"I've opened an arc right above the hideout." Allen said throught a personal golem Cross gave to Kanda amd Klaud. Kanda could only glare anywhere knowing they walkss so far just to reach the beach dock to go out to sea. "I bet Kanda's angry right now, hahahahahaha" Allen dared laughing,"Shut up, beansprout!" Klaud sighed thinking things had gotten back to normal already. "Anyways, good job! I heard you found out it was in the Artic Ocean almost immediately." Impressed by the fast thinking of Klaud and Kanda. "Well he's got me so it's definite." Klaud said.

"Can we please just go about the plan?"

"Alright alright, since I've opened a gate there all you have to do is to look for an entrance near you. Where are you two right now?"

"We are at the utmost north of the country."

"Ah.. then I know a place I've visited not that near but not far either."

'We'll take it."

"Okay then, there should be a cemetary somewhere there. Look for it, I'll make a gate once you get there just contact me again later."

"Right."

"Good luck, General Klaud, Kanda."

The call ended and so the golem slept. Kanda and Klaud quickly left the dock and looked for the said cemetary. They guessed a cemetary wouldn't be so near the sea and so walked farther away the sea. They walked without discussing anything. They weren't the talky type. It didn't take that long for them to spot a cemetery.

"Is this the pleace, beansprout?"

"Hmmm I don't really remember the place itself so I can't make a gate unless it's verified that I've been there."

"Then what are supposed to do?!"

"I know, if you see a large tree somewhere and then there's a graved named Mana Walker. Call me again."

"Note taken."

"Also! Get some flowers in the way."

"Mana Walker, huh. This must be the place where he was buried.." Klaud remembering the memories shown inside Allen's mind.

"It's not that difficult to find. This place only has graves and the smell of shit." Seeing the large tree Allen was talking about, Klaud signaled Kanda to get some flowers since Allen told them to.

"Allen, we've found the grave."

"Okay, thank you. Where's Kanda?"

"Getting flowers."

"Hahaha Kanda getting flowers?"

"Apparently."

"Alright, I'll open the gate there in a moment."

The call ended and so a large structure embed with bright light formed just in front of Klaud. Just in time, Kanda got the flowers. He set them down on Mana's grave andnwent inside the arc. They were expecting the usual white and empty town but what happened was that Allen created a direct gate above the spot of the hideout.

In the midst of panic, Kanda looked for Klaud who seemed to be calm. Falling that is,Kanda wondered if they should do something or just fall. But he didn't have enough time to think and just went with it. Falling from a high altitude, finally nearing the ocean's surface. When they almost met with the surface a portal was automatically made and brought them inside.

"Umphf!" Landing on their butts, Kanda was quite irritated with how humiliating this looks.
"We're here." Klaud again calmly removed the dusts on her clothes.

The place was dark but the ceiling was made of glass. Seeing the deep ocean creatures and the slight brightness ot gives in the room. The glowing cylinders of the sleeping bodies glowed as well showing that life still remains in some of the cases. They walked towards of what looked like the main system. It was a computer, Klaud touched the screen.

Resume or Detonate?

Of course Klaud did the pleasure of choosing resume.

Confirm or Cancel?

Confirm.

The cylinders turned green as one by one they awoken and stepped out. When all of them finally realizes rhey were awoken the first thing they did was be on a stance of defense. Assuming Kanda and Klaud were enemies, Hirai stood front and questioned their presence.

"Why have you awakened us?"

"Allen told us to."

"A-allen..? Lord Faust did?"

"Well we call him Allen, he went under a lot of difficulties."

"Difficulties?"

"Yes to the point that you might not recognize him."

"I see.. then my Lord has experienced so much without us, it may be the time to back to him. Would you lead us back to him?"

Kanda and Klaud looked at each other trying to see what to do, Cross never really cleared the instruction. Jusrt to wake them up.

"Hey Hirai."

"My lord is that you?"

"Yeah, it seems you've been awaken by my companions."

"Yes, is it already at that time?"

"Almost, we need to prepare. I will make a gate to where I am now."

Giving back the golem, Hirari bowed to the two feeling a little uneasy with the formal man. A gate was formed inside the hideout as they make their way back to the mansion. Kanda was shocked to see a man beside Allen. "T-that is..?!" Allen saw Kanda's surprised face but didn't seemed surprised himself. He knew they would be shocked. After all he was beside Neah.

"The 14 noah..." Klaud couldn't believe it herself. Looking Lenalee and Komui who arrived earlier, they looked uneasy but not shocked like they are.

"Welcome back, everyone." A warm smile given by Allen.

"My Lord! You look different!" Hirai ran towards Allen holding onto to him.

"It seems I underwent lotsmof detours, sorry!"

"These people... who are they?"

"Everyone here.. they're our allies."

"Allies.. Then I welcome them with all my heart."

"Speaking of allies, this man here is Neah Walker the 14th Noah... My nephew."

"A-A noah?!"

"Yes, and also one more but she isn't here right now."

"But my Lord, having a Noah..."

"It's alright, isn't it Neah?"

Neah looked at Allen with soft eyes and nodded.

"What?! How can we revive the 14th?!" Link even after decalring loyalty to Allen doubted his actions. Well who wouldn't?

"In order for me to gain back the trust of the alchemists and also more power. Don't forget he's my little nephew~ " Link sighed at his naive mind.

"How are we going to do this?"

"Well Neah never died anyway. So all we have to do is find a new body and transfer his memory there. This way, I'll transfer the host to someone else."

"Then that means, we have to sacrifice someone..?"

"Yes, but if we could find someone unfortunate.. unfortunate enough to the point of wanting to stop living then.."

"We can help them killing them?!"

"...Yes."

Link didn't want to end someone's life just because. He thought Allen wouldn't think of something such an evil person would do but then he knew Allen went through so much that this may be only part of what he had to do in the past in order to survive.

"It is ends them from their misery..."

Cross listening from a far, he was used to this as well. He took a sip from his tea, and stood up. "Well then, let's search for one now."

They went to the nearest town and passed one of the alleys, He saw a child shivering in the cold. He was so thin and looked pitiful, alone and thin as a stick. "Are you fine.. living this way?" Allen asked kneeling down. "No..." He held onto his rugged clothes. "Even if it were the last thing you'd do in this life of yours... would you help me?" The child looked up and saw Allen's sad but gentle smile. "I.. at least want.. to do something useful... so yes."

"Allen told me to be obedient. Just as long as nothing happens to Allen, I won't bite." Smiling, the others felt a little relieved however it didn't last when Allen stood front and looked serious.

"The next month will be the time, time starts once again. For us, we have stopped our own time for this one war. Not one of us is acceptinf defeat as an answer or consolation. Our one goal is to eliminate those who are deemed as nuisance to our plans, even if they are our significant other. Every sacrifice made will be justified once we win. For the deaths of our comrades and the expected deaths that cannot be escaped, this will be their salvation. This will be the end to our misery. The fallen disciples, the corrupted minds of the humans in the Black Order. We are the gray side in this war, having both sides in ours, our power will increase and the greater our relationships become. To create a world where Noahs, Humans and Akumas all coexist. Death is not the answer, however with the right people, it may be possoble to see a world where defeat is the answer. Defeat can be achieved without killing. This is our covenant. We are not allowed to kill."

The outrage ran, no killing? That's insane. In all history there hasn't been a war without a blood bath.

"Doubt me all you want, however I believe to achieve peace, you must use the ways pf peace. How will you achieve what you want to see when you, yourself has not made a decision to do ir yourself?"

The rages died when Allen said those words. Still feeling uneasy, yet some of them finally mafe their minds.

"The covenant is definite." Hirai declaring loudly. While the others followed, the statement grew louder, until all of the empire screamed the phrase.

"The covenant is definite!"
