Ringo Vinda Space Station
Several rotations following Barriss Offee's capture at the Jedi Temple, Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano was sent to Ringo Vinda along with fellow Knights Tiplee and Tiplar to reclaim it from Separatist forces. Both the Galactic Republic and Confederacy were battling against each other for the past 3 rotations with neither side gaining any advantage over the other. The Republic began a desperate last attempt to win back the station.
Ahsoka, aided by the 501st, was slowly advancing through the massive wave of battle droids, with assistance by Tiplee, Tiplar and their clone forces.
"Push forward, everyone !" Ahsoka encouraged. A Super Battle Droid tried to take pot shots at her, she quickly deflected the bolts with her shoto saber, then used her main lightsaber to cleave the droid in two.
Alongside her, Captain Rex cleared a path through the droid hordes, with assistance from ARC Trooper Fives and Clone Trooper Tup.
"Fives, watch out !" A Battle Droid nearly brought down Fives, but Tup quickly reacted by tackling him to the ground, saving his life. "That was close, brother !"
Fives tapped Tup on the shoulder. "Thanks Tup, I owe you one !"
Tup scoffed. "You owe me more than one !"
The group managed to secure a small area, allowing them to plan their next move. Ahsoka activated a hologram. "All right, everybody ! Don't get too comfortable ! We haven't won this battle yet !"
Tiplee voiced some concerns. "Master Tano, we must get to the command post. Admiral Trench has sent for reinforcements. We must take this post before they arrive !"
Ahsoka discussed her plan. "I have a strategy already planned out. It's time for Phase Two. We're at this position. Tiplar, you'll take your men down this passageway. Tiplee, you'll move along here. They'll have to divide their forces to counter us. And when they do, Rex and I will press through the middle. If we time it right, we'll all converge on this spot at the same time, and the droids won't know what hit them."
Commander Doom voiced concerns of his own. "If we're making a run, we'll need backup. My men are severely depleted."
Ahsoka broke off her forces. "Fives, you and Tup take 10 of your best men… and support Master Tiplar."
"We're on it, sir !" The two said in unison.
As the groups were preparing for their attack, Fives and Tup were the last to go. Fives noticed that Tup seemed somewhat disoriented. "Hey… you alright ?"
Tup nodded. "Yeah. I… I just…"
Fives tried to encourage him. "Come on. This is a textbook battle. We've run through this a million times in training !"
Tup shook his head slightly. "Yeah, I know. I just don't feel like myself."
The way it was worded worried Fives. "What exactly do you mean ?"
Tup stared at Tiplar in the distance, watching her lead her group. "Follow me." She ordered.
"Jedi." Tup mumbled, entranced.
Fives shoved his brother a little bit. "Tup, what's the matter with you ?"
Tup temporarily shook off his trance. "Uh, nothing. I'm fine."
Tup was pulled by the arm. "Come on, brother ! Don't want to be left behind !"
As hoped by Ahsoka, Tiplee and Tiplar's forces converged into an open hallway which was littered with droids. She and the 501st were making short work of the massive droid army. Ahsoka herself used a move she had done during her escape onto the industrial pipeline. She leapt into the air, using her lightsabers to propel her through the air, finally landing a blow on a couple of crab droids, destroying both at the same time before leaping away to safety, reflecting the majority of bolts.
As the Clones were thinning the advancing droid ranks, Admiral Trench watched the battle from the safety of his command center. "Increase our defenses ! We must hold them here."
"Don't fall back ! Push forward !" Rex cried out.
Suddenly, Tup began to tap his helmet. Fives quickly noticed his confusion. "Tup, this is NOT the time to freeze up ! Pull it together ! We're almost at the finish line ! Come on !"
Tup removed his helmet, just in time to witness Master Tiplar destroy a nearby crab droid. "Jedi." He mumbled. He grabbed hold of his blaster. "Good soldiers follow orders." He slowly walked towards Tiplar.
Fives tried to prevent the unthinkable. "Hey, Tup !"
Tiplar was too busy fighting off droids to notice his approach. "On your right !"
Fives couldn't believe what he was seeing. "Tup, NO !"
Tiplar glanced back to see the blaster aimed right at her. Before she could react, the bolt shot straight at her head, killing her. Moments later, Fives tackled Tup to the ground, detaining him.
Tiplee looked on in horror as Tiplar slumped to the ground, lifeless. "Sister !" She tried to focus on the mission instead. "Hold your position !"
Destroyers quickly rolled in front of the battle droids, blasting away. At this point, even Ahsoka knew it was best to turn tail and run. "Destroyers ! We've lost our momentum ! Fall back, all of you !" She turned towards Fives and a stunned Tup. "Fives, I don't know what's going on, but are responsible for Tup now ! Get him back to base ! I want answers !"
Back at their safe zone, Ahsoka knelt towards Tiplee, whom was grieving and cradling Tiplar's body in her arms. "Why ? Why would he do this ?" Tiplee asked.
Ahsoka stood up, determined to discover the cause. "I'm about to find out." She walked back to the area where Tup was surrounded by his fellow Clones, with Fives and Rex in front. "How's he doing, Rex ?"
Rex glanced back at Ahsoka. "I'm not sure, General. It seems like he just snapped !" He tried to get Tup's attention. "Tup ! Can you hear me ?"
Tup shook off slightly from his stupor. "Yes, Captain !"
Fives also wanted answers. "What happened ?"
Tup seemed to suffer from short-term memory loss. "What do you mean ?"
Fives pointed towards Tiplee. "Do you have any idea what you've done ?"
Suddenly, Tup re-entered his trance. "Good soldiers follow orders. Good soldiers follow orders. Good soldiers follow orders. Good soldiers follow orders."
The odd behaviour caught Ahsoka's attention. "What is he talking about ?"
Fives shook his head, lost. "I have no idea, General."
Tup's madness continued. "Good soldiers follow orders. Good soldiers follow orders. Good soldiers follow orders. Good soldiers follow orders." His gaze finally locked onto Tiplee. "Kill the Jedi !" He attempted to launch himself onto her, only to be knocked back to the wall with a Force Push.
For now, Ahsoka decided on what she thought was best. "We have to get him back to the medical bay before he hurts anyone else."
Later on, in the medical bay
Tup woke up with a start, finding himself tied up to a bed. He looked to the side and saw his brother-in-arms, Fives. "Fives, what's happening to me ?"
Fives cursed internally. "You don't remember ?"
Tup shook his head. "No."
"You murdered General Tiplar." Fives explained.
Tup couldn't believe his ears. "What ?! No ! That's not possible ! I would never… I could never –"
Fives held on to the railing, sharing the shock with Tup. "Tup, you did."
Tup felt very confused. "I don't… I don't understand !" He began to shake violently. "How could this happen ?! What's happening to me, Fives ?!" Before the trembling worsened, a medical droid delivered a dose of sedative to calm him down and lull him into forced sleep. "Ah ! Ah ! No ! Noooo…" The sedative did its intended job in seconds, allowing the others to discuss recent occurrences.
Captain Rex addressed the main medic of the 501st, Kix. "What do you think happened ? Did you check all of his scans ?"
Kix opened up his datapad, retrieving the newest data. "Well, all of his scans are clear. As far as I can tell, it's a combat-related stress. It seems he's had some sort of breakdown."
Rex disagreed with the medic's explanation. "Kix, you should know better. We were designed to withstand any stress."
Fives nodded, agreeing with his Captain. "He's right. We've been through a lot together. He doesn't seem to remember what happened. It's like he's sick or drugged."
Kix brought forth another theory. "Well, it could be a virus or a toxin. I can't be certain."
Ahsoka motioned the group to continue the conversation away from Tup. "Let's talk outside." Once they left the medical bay, she began to ponder certain possibilities. "You mean the enemy could have made him do this ?"
Tiplee crossed her arms over her chest. "It's a possibility. There have been rumors that Separatists have been trying to develop an anti-clone virus biological warfare."
Kix wasn't going to delve into the mystery, but thought to leave it to professionals instead. "Listen, we aren't equipped for this type of situation. He'll have to be taken back to Kamino. Only then will you have your answer."
A Republic shuttle was immediately prepared to deliver Tup to the Kaminoan scientists. Just as the gurney was about to be loaded into the shuttle, Fives ran up to have some last words with his brother. "Wait, wait !" He knelt to Tup's side, doing his best to comfort him. "Tup, it's gonna be fine, I promise. They'll fix you up real good. We'll be having a drink together in no time, eh ?"
Tup wheezed a response. "Good soldiers follow orders. Good soldiers –"
Fives quiet him down. "You are a good soldier, Tup."
As he was being loaded into the ship, Ahsoka sent her regards to the team. "It's time to go now. Be careful."
The head of the team nodded to her. "Yes, General Tano."
The shuttle departed from the Resolute's landing bay, escorted by four fighter-class ships. All was going well until they were ready to jump into hyperspace. A group of Separatist fighters intercepted them, bringing down the Republic fighters and all personnel aboard the shuttle, except Tup. Buzz Droids released Tup from his restraints, while a pair of Super Battle Droids loaded him into a specialized gurney for delivery to Admiral Trench.
It didn't take long for the Republic to learn what had transpired. Ahsoka took Rex and Fives with her to investigate the downed shuttle.
From the bridge of the Resolute, Admiral Yularen was keeping track of their position. "General Tano, you're nearing the coordinates where we lost contact with the shuttle."
Ahsoka's voice rang through the comm. "We can see it now. It doesn't look good."
Fives looked over the viewport, getting a better angle at the damage. "Looks like some Buzz Droids got on the hull and opened it right up."
Rex scratched the back of his head, deep in thought. "Hmm. Strategically, this attack doesn't make any sense."
Ahsoka glanced at the two men over her shoulder. "Unless they were after something specific."
Bells rang in Fives' head. "Tup ! I'm going over there !"
Ahsoka grabbed his shoulder. "We're coming with you."
Once inside the shuttle, they surveyed the scene. Dead clones floated everywhere. Fives found what he was looking for. "Over here ! This is Tup's gurney. The restraints have been cut."
Rex added everything up. "The clankers took Tup ? Why ? They must be responsible for whatever's happening to him."
Fives was determined to retrieve his brother-in-arms. "All I know is that they went to great lengths to capture him, and that means something. We have to get him back."
Ahsoka placed a comforting hand on Fives' shoulder. "Don't worry. We'll find a way."
A Republic Ambassador shuttle was flying towards the Separatist base. Inside the cockpit, Ahsoka, Rex and Fives were all decked in space suits. "It will be just three of us going in. The shuttle will drop us off just short of the main hangar. Then we space-walk from there."
Once they were dropped off, the trio quickly floated at the edge of the main hangar, just out of sight. Rex glanced at Fives. "Are you picking up anything on Tup's locator ? I've got a faint signal, but it's hard to track."
Fives checked his screen. "It's moving !"
"Then we'd better hurry." Rex suggested.
Ahsoka made use of her spatial awareness, imparted by her montrals. "I've got a better signal. Tup is headed this way. They're moving him to the hangar."
Fives looked over to the Togruta, not seeing Tup yet. "Are your scopes Jedi-issue, sir ?"
She snorted a laugh. "Stay focused, Fives."
Fives finally obtained visual confirmation. "There he is, sir ! We'll have to move fast."
Rex surveyed the army. "There must be a hundred droids in that hangar, not to mention the Starfighters. This is stretching it even for you, sir."
"Rex, you're beginning to sound like Master Kenobi." Ahsoka jabbed. "You got a better idea ?"
Rex quickly responded. "Look, I don't doubt you could pull it off, but I'm just not sure Fives and I would be around to see it happen."
"I've got an idea." Fives began.
"Well, let's hear it. Quickly !" Rex probed.
Fives showed his tool of choice. "Grappling gun."
Ahsoka had to admit the idea was good. "Good thinking !"
Fives readied to shoot the grappler as the Separatist shuttle was about to pass above them. "Get ready to hold on !"
"That's why he's the ARC Trooper !" Rex praised.
As the shuttle passed over them, Fives fired his grappling gun, allowing them to hitch a ride on it. As they pulled themselves over to the hull of the ship, B1-Battle Droids were carefully monitoring the ship's systems. Noticing something was wrong, one of them banged on the console. The Super Tactical Droid onboard, Commander Kraken, came in to see what was up. "Is there a problem ?"
One of the B1s turned back to him. "We were experiencing some drag, but the sensors are stabilized now."
If Kraken could blink, he would. "You were experiencing drag in the vacuum of space ?"
"Yeah, strange. But it is gone now."
Inside the cargo hold where Tup was being held, a group of Commando Droids heard noise near the loading ramp's door. One of them approached it, only to be severed by one of Ahsoka's lightsabers. Once the door opened, Rex and Fives made short work of the remaining Commando Droids. "Scrap 'em !"
As Kraken got involved and began to toss Ahsoka around the cargo hold, Fives took the opportunity to access the cockpit, surprising the two B1s flying the vessel. "Hey, now we're experiencing turbul- ! What's going on ?" Fives made short work of the two.
Back in the cargo hold, Ahsoka managed to get an opening and cut off Kraken's arms and legs. She then held one of her lightsabers to his head. "What do you know about this clone ?!"
Kraken wouldn't give in to her demands. "I am programmed to resist intimidation." His reply caused Ahsoka to cut off his head, shutting him down.
Rex raced over to Tup, which he seemed to have trouble breathing. Fives rejoined them. Ahsoka looked over to the suffering Clone. "How's he doing, Rex ?"
Rex looked down to the floor and sighed. "Not well. Not well at all. I think he's dying, sir."
"We'll have to get him to Kamino." Fives barged.
Ahsoka nodded in agreement. "I'll want a full report from what they find out at Kamino. If Tup is the victim of a Separatist plot, we have no idea how widespread it already is." She turned her attention to her trusted Captain. "Rex, old boy, I'm placing you in charge of the delivery to Kamino. Once we return aboard the Resolute, you'll take the next flight out."
Aboard the Resolute
Ahsoka, Rex and Fives were going through the various hallways, towards the landing bay with Tup in a brand new gurney. Fives quickly offered assistance. "Permission to come with you, sir. He's my best friend."
Ahsoka agreed into letting him go too. "You may need help."
Rex once again cited protocol. "Agreed. But everything must be done by the book."
Fives quickly nodded. "Understood, sir."
Rex gave precise instructions and a warning. "You're to stay at his side at all times. I don't want anymore slipups."
The conditions were perfectly fine with Fives. "Yes, sir."
"Good." Satisfied, Rex lead to their shuttle waiting at the landing bay.
Over at the Resolute's bridge, Admiral Yularen oversaw the departure through the viewport. "Medical Frigate 517, you are cleared for departure."
Once the shuttle and its escorts entered hyperspace, Ahsoka hoped for the best. "Good luck, boys."
Several rotations later, in the Coruscant Underworld…
To say that Fives' journey to Kamino would be overwhelming would be an understatement. Not only did he lose Tup following a discovery of a mysterious chip implant in Tup's head, but he also found one in his and inside every single Clone from stage 3 embryos. He was confronted by Kaminoan scientist Nala Se and Jedi Master Shaak Ti. The former insisted that the Inhibitor Chips were installed to make the Clones less aggressive than their original host, Jango Fett. Fives managed to convince Shaak Ti to allow him to meet with the Supreme Chancellor, much against Nala Se's whishes. When landing on Coruscant, Nala Se had injected a drug that made Fives look mentally unstable. When alone with Palpatine, he told the Clone his intentions, believing he could do nothing to prevent the eradication of the Jedi.
Through the streets of upper Coruscant, Fives managed to reach the Clone bar, '79s. There, he met with Kix and begged him to contact Ahsoka and Rex so they could reach him at an abandoned area in the Coruscant Underworld. While waiting for them, he was still under the drug's effect.
Meanwhile, Palpatine had ordered Commander Fox and his group of Shock Troopers to track and terminate Fives, no matter what.
Piloting a Republic Police Gunship, Ahsoka and Rex were arriving at their destination. "Well, these are the coordinates Kix gave us."
Ahsoka ignited one of her lightsabers, to create some light in the darkness. "Let's hope Fives is inside."
Rex wondered about his friend's mental condition. "I hope he knows what he's doing."
"Fives ? Fives, we're here. Come on out. We just want to talk to you." Ahsoka called out.
Fives breathed an audible sigh of relief. "General Tano. Thank you. Thank you for trusting me. Now, have you come without troops ?"
Ahsoka nodded. "We have."
"Put your weapons down, then." Fives asked.
Ahsoka shook her head. "Not until you come out yourself."
Fives' voice trembled slightly. "Please, sir ! Please, I'm unarmed."
Ahsoka deactivated her lightsaber. "All right."
Rex followed suit. "All right. I'm putting my pistols down."
Ahsoka crossed her arms over her chest, raising an eye marking. "What are we here for, Fives ?"
"I need your help !" Fives shouted.
"Ok." Ahsoka began. She felt his intentions. "No need to activate a ray shield, Fives. You can come out from hiding. We're not going to hurt you. You can trust us. You can trust me."
"All right, I'm coming out." Fives breathed. He slowly walked over to them, but still kept his distance. "I was framed because I know the truth. The truth about a plot, a massive deception."
"By whom ?" Ahsoka probed.
"Well, there's a sinister plot in the works against the Jedi. The Chancellor told me himself."
Suddenly, Ahsoka felt a bit worried. "The Chancellor ? Do you have proof ? If so, show me."
Fives pointed to his head. "I can prove that everything I know is true beyond a SHADOW of a doubt ! The evidence is in here ! It's all in here ! It's in all of us ! Every Clone !"
Rex still wasn't convinced. "What is it ?"
Fives stammered, trying to explain to the best of his ability. "Organic chips built in our genetic code to make us do what someone wants… even kill the Jedi."
"What of the Chancellor's involvement ?" Ahsoka was beginning to lose patience.
Fives paced around the two. "Oh, he's IN on it ! I don't know to what extent. But he orchestrated much of it. He told me so in the medical bay ! You need to look into this, General Tano ! Before it's too late ! The Chancellor will want me dead now ! I'm sure of that !"
Ahsoka used the Force to peer into Rex's head. "There is something that's out of place ! I can feel it ! We'll run a scan for you Rex, as soon as possible. And if that chip is indeed there, we'll do everything to have it removed."
Before more conversation could take place, Commander Fox and his Shock Troopers suddenly appeared out of the darkness, aiming their guns at Fives. "Stand down, soldier ! STAND DOWN ! ON YOUR KNEES !"
Fives quickly backed away. "No ! NO ! GET AWAY FROM ME !"
Ahsoka quickly intervened. "Commander Fox, you and your men are to stand down ! NOW !"
Fox shook his head. "With all due respect, General, I can't do that. I have direct orders to have this Clone terminated."
"On who's orders ?!"
Fox sighed. "The Supreme Chancellor. He wants justice for being brutally attacked by this Clone."
Ahsoka challenged the authority. "At this very moment, I outrank you all. And you will not aim a weapon at him now, NOR EVER ! Do I make myself perfectly clear ?"
Fox knew better than raise her anger further. "But… what are we to do ? We can't go back without confirmation of his death !"
Ahsoka came up with a solution. "We'll fake it." Ahsoka walked over to Fives, whom was backed up against a corner and trembling. "It's ok. You're not going to be hurt." She turned back to Fox. "Commander Fox, I'm ordering you to stun this Clone. DO IT !"
Fox reluctantly complied, setting his weapon on stun. Once Fives was down, one of the Shock Troopers took a hologram. Commander Fox then used his comlink to contact the Chancellor. "Your Excellency, I bring you news that CT-5555 has been terminated as you ordered. What do you want us to do with the body ?"
Palpatine's answer brought chills to all those present. "Well done, Commander Fox. Little point in bringing his corpse back here, dump it to the depths of the Coruscant Underworld and return back."
Fox quickly nodded. "Acknowledged, Your Excellency. Over and out." Once Palpatine's hologram fazed off, he let out a deep sigh. "How long do you think it'll take before he finds out that we fooled him, General ?"
Ahsoka cupped a hand on her chin, formulating a quick scheme. "You may return back, Commander Fox. Captain Rex and I will deal with Fives. We'll give you the lowdown of what we've been told once we confirm a few things."
Once Fox and team returned to Upper Coruscant, Fives was beginning to wake. And the drug injected by Nala Se was also beginning to wear off. "General Tano… I… I don't know what to say, sir. Thank you for standing up and believing in me."
She helped him get back up. "I trust you, Fives. You've been with us on a great number of missions and your insight has always been to our benefit. Why would I find a reason to lose faith in you now ?"
As they were about to head back to the Republic Police Gunship, Rex grabbed hold of Ahsoka's shoulder. "Wait a moment, General. It's risky to take him with us, if he's seen, everything could backfire on us."
She nodded. "I know, Rex. Which I why I came up with the best way and best place to hide him. Return back to the barracks using the gunship. Here comes our ride." She looked up to a speeder with 4 seats, operated by R2. At his side, Max gazed at the unfamiliar Clone, his crest raised.
Ahsoka took him into her arms, petting him. "It's ok, Max. Mr. Fives is a friend. He won't hurt you. R2, take us to Senator Amidala's apartment. Make it fast !"
R2 beeped a reply, and flew the speeder to the requested destination.
Padmé's Apartment
Padmé had just finished drinking a few glasses of water, while Satine was reading up on Mandalore's current state. The sound of an approaching speeder broke their concentration. Arriving on the balcony, Ahsoka led Fives into the living room section.
Fives bowed before the two women. "Senator Amidala. Duchess Satine. An honor to see you both again."
Padmé snapped her fingers, trying to remember his name. "Clone Trooper… 5555… is it not ? What brings you here ? I've heard that you attacked the Chancellor."
Fives took a seat, keeping his explanation as simple as possible. "The truth is, Senator, I've been framed because I discovered a plot against the Jedi. The Chancellor is involved in some way or other, so you have reason to distrust him."
Satine closed her datapad, looking at Ahsoka. "Knight Tano, what will you do ?"
"For now, we'll take a deep breath and take it a day at a time. We still don't know everything, but we'll unravel the remaining pieces of this puzzle soon enough. Can I trust you two to keep him safe until we can decide on a course of action ?"
Padmé nodded in agreement. "I don't have a problem with that and I'm sure Satine doesn't either."
A clash of utensils clambering to the floor caught everyone's attention. Max had managed to climb onto Padmé's counter and shoved her utensils container down, just so he could play with the container. He held the top of the container with his beak and used his right foot to tap against the metal.
Ahsoka rolled her eyes at the spectacle. "Really ? REALLY ? Did you have to make a mess and act the goofball as soon as we come in here ?"
Max then tossed the container around the floor, catching it again and re-tossed it to another part of the floor. He amused himself for a minute before realizing he was being stared at. "Hi !" He then chirped and beat his wings, running all over the kitchen floor.
Ahsoka knelt next to her bird. "What is your major malfunction ? Do you have a major malfunction ?" Max began to grumble in his deep voice. "I'm pretty sure you have one. Do you have a major malfunction ? Well, I don't know. You have to tell me."
Max mumbled some more. "You were throwing a weird fit. What was the reason for the weird fit ? It is because you were being goofy ?"
"I'm being very goofy !" Max mumbled back.
"You think it's a good reason ?" She noticed him climbing on a nearby chair, positioning himself, he nodded excitedly. "You're gonna poopy again, are you ?"
"Hi !" If Max knew more words, he would say "Surprise !". Ahsoka wasn't surprised in the least. "I thought so !" She reached for a tissue. "Here ! Clean up your poopy !" Max simply tore the paper in pieces. "Ok, seems I have to do this myself, huh ? Poopybutt !"
Max whined in response. "I don't care if you're a baby or not, that was still a poopybutt."
Max leaned down at her. "Hey !"
She looked up at him. "What ?"
"I'm smoking weed !" Came Max's unexpected response.
Ahsoka slapped her montrals. "What ?! What are you going about ?"
Max then made kissing sounds towards Padmé and Satine.
Satine couldn't help but be amused by his antics. "I bet you never have a dull moment with him."
Max then wolf-whistled. Ahsoka shook her head. "You're not a sexy bird, you're a spoiled little brat ! Aren't you ? Huh ? Huh ? Huh ?!"
The Cockatoo then proceeded to spin on the armrest, following it up with a "Hi !" a few times over.
"I think it's time for little boys to go to bed, huh ? What do you think ?" Ahsoka motioned to her arm. "Ok, it's time to go. Up, up, up !"
"Up, up, up !" Max repeated, before finally perching himself on her arm.
Before leaving, Ahsoka turned over to the trio. "Thanks again for taking Fives in along with Satine, Padmé. I'll try to get to the bottom of the situation as soon as possible."
"Be careful, Ahsoka." Padmé waved her young friend goodbye.
Once Ahsoka left with Max and R2, Fives had to state the obvious. "That's quite a full belly you have there, Senator. Don't tell me, I think I know. The late General Skywalker would be the father, right ?"
For once, old memories didn't hurt as much. "Yes, we were in a secret relationship. I would have loved him to be able to see his children, but alas."
Fives cleared his throat. "When are you due ?"
Padmé took a quick glance at her calendar. "A month. Maybe less. Only time will tell."
"Well then, I'd wager you don't want the Galaxy to know that you're pregnant with General Skywalker's children. You're in luck, I had participated in an emergency birth helping out Kix at one point. I don't know every detail, but I'm sure I can be of assistance when the time comes." Fives boasted.
For the time being, the trio would take it easy and prepare themselves for the eventual arrival of the Skywalker twins.
Sorry it took so long to get back. More excitement soon. Feel free to leave a review.
