No promises but I think I can write consistent! me really hope so. Anyway. This chapter is leading up to something very very epic! Also, 10th chapter! Woo! Hope you guys enjoy. R&R
NOTE: the clock that Tim gave them is a clock that has an arrow that slowly moves to a rising sun, blue sky with clouds and a sun, and a moon.
The cave they stood before was a true fear tester. Although, in rigby's eyes, it was a death trap! In Mordecai's eyes, it was an opportunity.
"Come on Rigby, lets go!" Mordecai said confidently as Rigby gulped.
"Lets do it!" Rigby said brushing his fear aside.
They both left the man, walked down the rocky and pointy slope that led into the dark cave. They avoided some of the pointy edges of the rocks that they stepped on.
"How the hell are we suppose to see?!" Rigby said "I'm done already! I'm heading back up!"
After Rigby said that he attempted to make his way back up the slope. He grasped a rock with each hand but the moment he lifted his foot up and set it down on a rock, his foot slipped on an unstable rock and dove face first into a higher rock doing more skull damage than before.
"OW!" Rigby screamed aloud rubbing his head.
"What happe-" Mordecai's sentence got cut off by a wave of falling rocks above his head. He saw them fall from the small amount of light emitting from we're they entered the 'dangerous' part of the cave.
"What the-!" He said as he saw the man they previously met in the cave above them. His face was smiling back at Mordecai through the rocks about to kill Mordecai and Rigby.
The rocks below the duo broke from a chain reaction of some rocks falling knocking them out of place. They started falling a long distance down until they reached smooth stone, although several rocks were still falling above them. Mordecai cowered bent over in fear hoping no rocks would hit him. He waited until pure silence was heard. Mordecai stood up and could not see anything, his back stung really bad.
He saw something light up through all the darkness. He made his way over all the pointy and sharp rocks until he saw the light. it was emitting from under a pile of coal. He dug up the coal with high expectations only to see Rigby, unconscious with the bag on his back. The light source was coming from the bag. Mordecai opened it up and noticed that the clock Tim gave him lit up. He took it from the bag and shined it on Rigby.
"Rigby?" He said touching Rigby's body with his foot. "RIGBY?!" He yelled again.
Rigby got up quickly and pointed at Mordecai with both hands.
"Got Yah!" He said with a big smile on his face.
Rigby's glory was short lived as Mordecai shoved him back down in between two rocks.
"Don't do that doofus!" Mordecai said enraged with a mad look on his face. "That. That. That a**hole completely abandon us and left is down here to rot!"
"So he was lying about his friends?" Rigby asked pulling himself out of the the two rocks Mordecai shoved him into.
"That's un certain. But if we don't find a way out, we'll become rotting bodies in a god damn cave!" Mordecai said pissed off once again
"Chill man!" Rigby said attempting to calm him down. "We'll find a way out! Don't worry. I'm certain!" Rigby said, although, he was straight up lying to himself. He thought they were done for, but remaining calm was his best option. And cooling down Mordecai was one of the keys to success in this particular situation.
"Fine." Mordecai agreed. "Lets go to that section if the cave over there" he said pointing to another part of the cave system.
Rigby gulped. 'I'd rather stay here and rot!' He thought.
"Alright let's go" Rigby said masking the true side of him deep down.
The duo began stepping over the big rocks trying to avoid any pointy edges and avoid harming then selves any more than they already have.
After lifting there legs high after the several rocks they mounted, Rigby noticed water dripping from the ceiling of the cave.
"Hey, look! Water!" Rigby pointed out to Mordecai.
"Hmm... This may be bad news. If this ceiling collapses and the small chance we don't get crushed this cave is getting flooded with all the water above." Mordecai said analyzing the situation they have been put in.
"Well, come on, lets conti-..." Rigby was cut off by a creepy and mysterious sound. "Do you hear that?"
"Hear what?" Mordecai asked.
A few moments after a low pitched cry was heard echoing in the cave.
"This could mean more trouble!" Mordecai said cautiously.
"Where's it coming from?" Rigby asked.
Mordecai reached into they're back pack on Rigby's back and pulled out the clock Tim gave them.
"Theres a technique with clocks that make them act like a compass." Mordecai said.
he lit up the clock and looked closely at the back. He took the back of the clock and broke a wire. Mordecai faced towards the sound and the arrow on the clock faced early morning.
"Looks like it's coming from the north west." Mordecai said
Mordecai looked up and waited for his eyes to re adjust after staring into light. Mordecai and Rigby ran foot after foot through what seemed like an endless Filled cave covered with lots of intimidating bones. Eventually the cave hit a dead end and Mordecai and Rigby stopped running and slowed down until their legs moved no more. They put there arms on they're knee's and started panting.
"Where is that coming from?!" Mordecai said trying to catch his breath next to Rigby about to pass out. They both caught there breath and started heading back to we're they came from.
As Mordecai and Rigby were walking back, they noticed a wooden sword lying on the ground that they missed previously.
"Hey, look. A wooden sword." Mordecai said pointing at it to show Rigby.
The deep, demon-like cry continued as Mordecai walked towards the sword slowly and carefully. He bent over and picked up the sword.
"Hey. This might come in hand" Mordecai said checking it out.
"Aw no! Screw this! I want the sword! I want it I want it I want it!" Rigby complained in a ticked off and mad tone.
"Woah dude! Slow down. This is mine, I found it." Mordecai explained.
"Gosh darn you!" Rigby said.
Mordecai knew Rigby wouldn't forget losing a sword to him that easy. He had to think of something to occupy his mind.
"Look Rigby!" Mordecai said putting his hand over his eyes trying to exaggerate him finding something. "It's a Bone! A rather creepy, Human-looking bone, but hey, you can break people's bones, with a bone!"
"This thing is so cool!" Rigby said admiring it. he then shunned Mordecai. "Why don't you take it, Selfish-cai." He said mocking Mordecai's name doubting He would just let him have the whacking bone.
"Nope. It's all yours! Take it!" Mordecai said hoping to satisfy Rigby.
"Wait, really?" Rigby was puzzled by this offer Mordecai made. "Okay then." Rigby said.
Rigby walked up and took the rather large bone. He swung it around a few times to try it out.
"Oh yah! Who ever crosses our path will be screwed hard!" Rigby said happy and armed.
oh damn our hero's are armed. Although a bone and a wooden sword aren't that great, it's still cool to see weapons coming into play during this series! Maybe the cry will be the first boss. who knows? ;)Thanks guys! R&R
