And it's been a while

Since I could hold my head up high

And it's been awhile since I first saw you

And it's been awhile since I could stand on my own two feet again

And it's been awhile since I could call you

Blake drove the car slowly down the street, even though her mind was speeding like it was an Indy car driving around the Brickyard. To be completely honest, she didn't really think about her plan B in detail. All she thought about was that it had to work to make this meeting work. To be fair to herself, she hasn't had a lot of time to form this plan. It isn't like she had, I don't know, over half a year to figure out how she should handle this. She had about a half hour tops.

Despite that, this doesn't change the fact that she needs to fix this problem in this car before they step out of it. She glanced over at Ruby, who decided to drive shotgun for the trip, and pretended to clear her throat. Ruby looked over at Blake to see if she was trying to get her attention. Confirming her assumption, Blake nodded her head towards the duo sitting in the back seat. She then turned her head around to look at them. Weiss and Yang are sitting there, both not looking at each other at all with her sister staring out the window and their vocalist staring at the ground below her. Judging by their body language, they wasn't zoning out as much as they were pretending the other one isn't next to them. With a sigh, Ruby turned around and sat back in the passenger seat.

"It's not good, is it?" Blake questioned, her fingers tapping anxiously on top of the steering wheel as she continue to watch the road.

"Not at all." Ruby answered, nervously running her hand through her hair as her other hand was fiddling around with her seatbelt. They both realized they don't have a lot of time to fix this, and that they need to do something about it. Looking at each other and nodding, they choose to confront the issue head-on.

As they continued to drive down the road, Weiss looked down at the floor below her. She was lost in her thoughts, trying to figure out what is going on with her. It wasn't just her anger she showed earlier. There was perfectly reasonable… uh, reasons behind that. No, it's been about how she has been around Yang today. Lately, she has been having weird feelings around her, feelings that have been there before what has happened today. Every time she would be in the same room as her, she would just be staring at her idly; thinking about nothing in particular and that would make her feel almost blissful. Just looking at her practicing the drums would cause her heart to go aflutter, and anytime Yang would notice her staring she would be embarrassed and react almost hostile towards her.

After what happened before they left the building, those feelings have intensified inside her. She couldn't even look Yang in the eyes, so she chose to just stare at the ground for the trip. Though she knows she can't keep acting like this when the meeting comes around, she chooses to continue delaying the inevitable. Or at least, that was the plan until-

"Alright, we need to get this straightened out before we head to meet Mr. Port." Blake announced from nowhere, staring at both of them using the rear view mirror. "So whatever your issues are, you need to fix them now."

This sudden order from Blake caused both Weiss and Yang to jump out of their skin and immediately straighten their composure. "I-I don't know what you are talking about." Weiss stuttered out to Blake, in the most unbelievable way possible.

"Don't even try to lie about this, it's as clear as day to me and Ruby and it will be obvious to the man from Beacon as well. You two have been acting weird since Yang molested you, which is understandable to be honest-" Blake explained, with Yang shouting in the middle of her talking. "Hey! I already told you it was an accident!"

"Well, did you tell Weiss it was an accident yet?" Blake questioned the blonde who spoke for the first time for the entirely of the drive. "Yes I have, and she forgave me." Yang answered her matter-of-factly, staring at the reflection of Blake on the rearview as the car turns right down on the intersection.

"She's right; I did forgive her for grabbing me so there is no problem here." Weiss added on to what Yang was saying, mainly in hopes that this will make this conversation grind to a halt. Sadly for both of them, Ruby throws in her two cents on the matter as well.

"That's a lie; you two have been actively avoiding each other's existence during the whole ride there. If we didn't confront you on this now, you would've continued this during the meeting as well and the last thing we need is to have the impression that the band is on course to an early break-up. So, for at least today, you two need to kiss and makeup." Ruby said to her older sister and Weiss, hoping that she of all people is scolding them for being immature will knock some sense into them.

Weiss straighten up her body language and looked over at Yang, who turned to face her as well. Though she rarely admits this, but Ruby is right about this. This isn't the time for avoiding Yang, especially after she did forgive her. But before she could say something to the drummer, she got lost in her lilac eyes that were softly and nervously staring at her. Then she started looking at her long, blonde hair and remembers having her fingers running through those heavenly locks when they were back at the room. Suddenly, time seems to freeze as she starts feeling butterflies flying in her stomach and her heart beating out of her chest. She can't explain this feeling, but knows it has engulfed her. Before she can ponder if that's good or bad, the feeling takes control away from her and quickly leans in towards Yang to do something she never thought she would.

If Ruby can describe Weiss's actions today as anything, she would say it was a roller-coaster of emotions. First, she was bossing everyone in the band trying to get everyone ready for the meeting. Then, she was angry at Yang for not getting dressed up like everyone else and then immediately got embarrassed by her older sister to which Weiss then became angry again. After that, Weiss…

Ruby's mind repressed whatever she was going to say next unconsciously out of making sure we doesn't remembered the dark times. Later, Weiss snapped and kicked her and the others out of the apartment. After getting into the car, Weiss was anti-social which is unlike her. And after Blake called her out on it, the lead singer seems to have snapped again.

At least, that is Ruby's explanation for Weiss suddenly pouncing on top of Yang and started making out with her, grabbing Yang's suit and tightly holding on to it causing the suit to wrinkle as she pushed her tongue into her sister's mouth. Yang ironically became seemingly frozen after the ice queen starting kissing her to where she didn't put on a fight when Weiss wanted to take their first kiss a step further as come as it began. As they continue to make-out, Ruby stares at the sight while not focusing on any aspect of it.

"Ruby, what are they doing bac-" Blake started questioning before she saw what was happening with her own eyes through the rearview mirror. "Holy shit…" she muttered as she slowed the car down at the yellow light so she wouldn't speed into something or someone at the intersection. While the car was stopped, they continued to stare in shock at Weiss and Yang.

After a little bit longer Weiss reluctantly broke the kiss, a line of drool still connected their lips as they both blushed as brightly as the red light in front of them.

"So… When I said that, did not expect you to take it literally..." Ruby told the two in the back, also blushing in embarrassment while not making direct eye contact with either one of them. Funnily enough, both Weiss and Yang were having a hard time looking at them as well.

Luckily for everyone involved, when the light turned green they were at the meeting place. After parking the car in front of the park, Blake and Ruby gets out while Weiss and Yang still sit in there in silence. As Ruby walks around the hood, Blake remembers something.

"Hey Blake, what happens to the bet?" she asks the redhead, who stares blankly at her trying to figure out what she means.

"Uh… What bet?"

"You know that bet." she answers, her thumb pointing at the two inside the car. Ruby eyes widen in realization and looks over at them.

"Oh… THAT bet. What about it?" Ruby questions her fellow guitarist.

"Well, it was a two layer bet. You betted that they would date this year and I said it will take until next year."

"Yeah…"

"Also, you made a bet that Yang would make the move and I said Weiss will."

Starting to put one and two together, Ruby realizes the major problem with the bet. As of now, it looks like they will start dating this year because Weiss made the first move. This means that Ruby won the first part, but Blake won the second. Each part of the bet was worth the same money, so that means…

"...did we split the pot?" Ruby asks Blake, who just shrugs.

"I don't know, but we'll figure it out after the meeting." she tells her.

"Figure what out Blake?" Weiss questions Blake, which causes both Ruby and Blake to jump out of their skin in surprise. Looking over each other's shoulders, Weiss is standing behind Blake and Yang was behind Ruby. Both of these turned around to look at each of them.

"Yeah Ruby, what needs figuring out?" Yang asks her younger sister, who's looking in her direction but not at her exactly.

"Oh… um, nothing much." Ruby tries brushing it off. "We should just head over to the meeting place now, right Blake?"

"Uh, yeah! Yeah, we should. Can't keep Port waiting, nope nope nope. Let's go Ruby." Blake responds as both quickly ran away from the two as fast as they could over to the meet-up. Weiss and Yang glances at each other and shrugs before following them. As they make it to the spot, they see Port walking over to them.
