Eyy. Guess what? BONUS! I quickly wrote this up because I realized I forgot to add this to the end of the previous chapter so here you go!
CHAPTER 10: EXTRA
It had been three months since Namano's funeral and Kanda still hasn't gotten over her loss. Komui gave Kanda as long as he wanted to get back on his feet but Kanda refused. He wanted do missions to keep his mind off of Namano. He would complete his missions in a daze, arrive back at the order and go to his and Namano's room. He wouldn't talk to anyone anymore, other than needed. Linali, Allen, and Lavi all have tried to comfort him but he wouldn't listen to them. He would just sit in their room and just sit, thinking about Namano and then he would just break down into a silent sob, just broken.
One day after breakfast, Kanda was sitting in their room again, just thinking when he heard a quiet whisper.
"Yu…" Kanda looked up when he heard the familiar voice. He disregarded it, blaming it on his depressed induced state. Then he heard it again, stronger this time. "Yu."
"N-Namano?" He looked up again to see a ghostly figure appear in front of him. It was blurry at first but soon it got clearer and there in front of his very eyes, stood Namano. "Namano!"
"Yu. Yes, it's me." Kanda stood up and reached out to her but hit air. She smiled sadly. "I'm sorry Yu. I'm just a spirit. I really needed to see you."
"Namano. I miss you. I'm lost without you." Kanda whispered.
"I know. I've been watching you all this time, Yu. That's why I came down. But first, there're some people you need to meet. Come on out you two." From behind her, two glowing orbs flew out and floated in front if Kanda.
"What?"
"Yu. Say hi to our twins."
"Our…" The orbs floated around him and began rubbing on his cheeks. "Our twins? We were going to have twins?" Namano smiled and nodded. Kanda held out his hands and the two orbs sat on his open hands. They began glowing brighter and giving off a warm sensation. Kanda's heart swelled as his body and mind recognized the two orbs as his children. He smiled and kissed each one. The glowed even bright and flew behind Namano. She laughed.
"They're happy. Don't worry. They're just shy." She reassured him. They peaked out from behind her. "Alright you two. Say bye to your father. You're almost running out of power. They flew over, 'kissed' Kanda's cheeks, and faded away.
"What do you mean power?" Kanda asked.
"As spirits, we can only stay visible for a while. The longer we stay spirits, the stronger get, the longer we can stay visible. I've been a spirit for a few weeks now so I can stay visible for an hour but those two just became spirits so they can only be visible for fifteen minutes. But also." She walked over and actually touched his cheek, much to his surprised. "I learn how to become solid for a moment." She leaned down and kissed him. Two seconds later, she became air again.
"You can?" Hope ringing in Kanda voice.
"I will keep practicing, and get stronger. I can't come back to life but I can still be by your side and watch over you. So will our children." Kanda smiled.
"Yeah." Namano smiled and enveloped him a 'hug'. Kanda's heart began healing. It'll never be fully healed since he can't have her back completely but now he won't be alone again.
