The next day, Ron was sitting on the dining table in the kitchen eating rather shoving his pancakes while reading the Daily Prophet. Hermione who was earlier casting spells on the utensils and around the house now sat next to Ron. Frowning at Ron's eating habits, she started applying butter on her toast and her worries about Hugo came back.

Looking up from his newspaper, Ron noticed Hermione's expression and sighing he folded his paper and kept it aside.

"What's wrong 'Mione?"

Startled she looked up and replied, " I'm just worried about Hugo."

"You don't have to worry about Hugo. He will be perfectly fine. He has Rose and all his cousins to look after him. " he said taking her hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"I guess you are right. But he is still a baby to me. I am bound to worry."

Before Ron could reply there a tap on the kitchen window. The couple looked up to find Gasper, Hugo's owl tapping with a letter attached to his leg. Getting up, Hermione opened the window and the owl flew in and instead of landing on the table, it collided with a bowl containing fruits on the table.

After gaining its balance, the owl offered his leg so that Hermione could remove the letter from his leg. Ron who was laughing stood up and gave Gasper an owl treat.

"He reminds me of Errol." Ron said as he sat down next to Hermione.

Now relieved to receive a letter from Hugo, she laughed and nodded while Gasper after drinking some pumpkin juice from Ron's tumbler took off. Hermione handed him Hugo's letter and went back to her breakfast.

Dear Mum and Dad,

Hogwarts is brilliant. The castle is magnificent. It is so big I think I might need more than seven years to explore it. The Great Hall is amazing too. The sorting was pretty good too. Lily got sorted into Gryffindor.

Now Dad I want you to sit down and listen to me carefully. I didn't plan to be sorted in this house. The sorting hat thought I would do great in it instead of Gryffindor so I went along with it. And no Dad, I'm not in Slytherin. Oh and I'm in Ravenclaw with Lorcan and Lysander.

Look I know you must be disappointed but please don't send me a howler. I'll listen to whatever you have to say when I come back for the Christmas break. By the way Dad, you were right. The house elves are one hell of a cooks. The feast was brilliant. And the chicken…ummm…..I think I'm in love.

Mum, you wouldn't believe how awesome the Ravenclaw Common Room is. I don't know about Gryffindor one's but I bet Ravenclaw Common Room is way better than the Gryffindor one. It has all these comfort chairs and couches. And one wall of the Common Room is made of a wooden bookcase with thousands of books. They even have Muggle Literature here.

Rose promised to take me around the castle this weekend. The classes will start tomorrow so I'll write you later this week to tell you about the classes. Write back soon.

Love

Hugo

By the time, Ron finished Hugo's letter, the letter from Rose had arrived. After reading Rose's letter he looked up with an irritated expression on his face.

"Why does everyone expect me to blow up just because Hugo's in Ravenclaw?"

Laughing Hermione pecked him on his cheek and levitating the dishes to the kitchen she said, "It's your own fault – If you are not in Gryffindor we'll disinherit you, but no pressure." Hermione said with a very poor imitation of Ron from Rose' s first year.

"Hey that was when Rose was going plus it was just a joke."

"They were nervous. They were bound to take you seriously."

"Fine. I'll make sure I send them both a reply. I wouldn't mind them being in any house except for Slytherin. I would have definitely disinherited them if they were in Slytherin."

Swatting him on the arm she put the letters away in a drawer and sat down next to Ron who was now penning replies to the children.

"To be honest, I knew he might get sorted in Ravenclaw so it's not that much of a shock."

"Oh really and how did you know?" Hermione teased but with a curious glint I her eyes.

"Seriously 'Mione, have you seen that kid. He had way too much brains for his own good."

Laughing, Hermione attached the letters Ron had written to the family owl and then giving him a kiss floeed to the Ministry followed by Ron.

It was now almost the end of the year. The Quidditch Cup final was to be held the next day between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. And at present the Gryffindor Quidditch team was making its way to the field to practice.

Clyde Wood who was in his seventh year last year had graduated to follow in his father's footsteps and was now the reserve chaser for Puddlemore United. Alicia Roberts who was now in her seventh year was now the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain.

Rose who had tried out for the position of Chaser was now on the Quidditch team too and everyone agreed that she was a natural. She had been able to score four times out of five and if Scorpius was being honest, it had been tough to even save that one.

It was because of Rose's chasing skills that they had been able to win the last match against Slytherin.

It had been raining cats and dogs and the match had been going on for the past three years. The score was 290 – 100 and there was still no sign of the Snitch. Albus and the Syltherin Seeker were both flying pretty high trying to find the golden ball. He was getting tired and it seemed the match was not going to get over in the near future.

He was taking another round of the pitch when he heard the Gryffindor side of the pitch shouting and cheering and Seth Jordon's commentary,

"And James Potter has the Quaffle. And Zabini is trying to take the quaffle but Potter throws it to Weasley and Weasley is heading towards the hoops. She aims at the right one, ducks and scores. Ten points to Gryffindor."

Albus had to admit that Rose was really amazing. He continued his quest for the Snitch just when he saw the speck of gold at the center of the pitch. He increased his speed and flew down fast. From his peripheral vision he could see the Slytherin seeker at his tail. He increased his speed and zoned out the rest of the pitch as he started his descent.

He was about to catch the Snitch when the end of his broomstick was hit by a buldger sent by the one of the Slytherin beaters. He lost his balance and was falling towards the ground. He half expected to be plummeted into the ground but was caught just in time by James. By the time they had touched the ground, Seth Jordon could be heard shouting in the microphone,

"Nott managed to catch the Snitch but Gryffindor wins the match by 20 points."

While the rest of the players touched the ground, the Gryffindor team hugged each other while patting Rose on the back.

The practice had gone smoothly and now all they had to do was win the match tomorrow and the Quidditch Cup would be theirs right? Wrong. The Ravenclaw Keeper was none other than Andy who was an exceptionally great keeper and the only one who had been able to save Rose's throws most of the time.

The day of Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw match was finally here. The Gryffindor team was sitting in the Great Hall trying to make some small conversation and eating which wasn't going very well except for Rose and James. Both of them were shoving food like there was no tomorrow while Scorpius and Albus were looking a little green.

"I don't know about Mum's brains but you definitely have Dad's appetite."

Hugo said and sat down next to Rose.

"Shut Up. And what are you doing here?" Rose asked after swallowing a mouthful of potatoes.

"I always have breakfast here. Hi Lily." Hugo greeted as Lily sat opposite him dressed in Albus' old Quidditch Jersey and a Gryffindor muffler.

"Hey Hugo" Lily smiled and started filling up her plate.

"Yes but today is Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor. Shouldn't you be supporting your house?" Albus asked giving up on the toast which he was earlier trying to eat.

"I want Ravenclaw to win but that doesn't mean I won't be supporting my sister and cousins, though I wouldn't say that out loud in front of Ravenclaws."

"And that's why you can come to our Victory Party after WE WIN" James shouted the last part so that Andy who was sitting on the Ravenclaw table could hear him.

"OH SHUT UP POTTER YOU ARE GOING DOWN" Andy shouted back.

"IN YOUR DREAMS"

McGonagall got up from her place at the teachers table and asked the teams and the students to move on to the pitch.

After a pep talk from Alicia, the team made it onto the field. James along with Ethan Wright, a Ravenclaw chaser, took their place next to Madame Hooch while both Andy and Scorpius took their places near the hoops.

When Madame Hooch released the balls, Seth started the commentary,

"And James Potter catches the Quaffle, passes it to Roberts and Roberts ducks a buldger and passes to Weasley, Weasley passes back to Potter, back to Roberts, Wright tries to snatch the Quaffle but Weasley has it now and she takes aim and SCORE. Ten points to Gryffindor. I must say Weasley is bloody amazing."

"Mr. Jordon watch you tongue." McGonagall quips from her seat next to Seth.

The game continued for the next hour and a half with a score of 80-90 in favor of Ravenclaw when Albus saw the Snitch. He knew how important this match was and he couldn't have had the replay of last match. He flew towards the Snitch but the Ravenclaw Seeker was a little ahead of him. The Snitch was near the Gryffindor posts where Scorpius was keeping.

Fearing a crash with Scorpius, the Ravenclaw seeker turn at the last moment but Albus continued. Scorpius who was positioned at the center hoop saw Albus coming his way and followed Albus' line of sight. Just behind Scorpius, in the hoop was the Snitch. When he turned back both the friends made eye contact and giving a nod to Albus, Scorpius moved just a minute or two before Albus made his way through the center hoop managing to catch the Snitch.

With a victorious grin on his face, Albus descended to the pitch where he was engulfed in a hug from the rest of the team. He hugged Scorpius and Rose and they all went back to the Gryffindor Common Room to celebrate their victory.

It was exam time at Hogwarts and there wasn't a single student who was seen without a book. Even James and Fred had decided to listen to Andy and had finally declared a table at the back of the library theirs and were actually studying which had not only made Ginny and Angela happy but a little worried about their sons' health.

Rose, Scorpius and Albus were also studying pretty hard. Scorpius and Albus who had started studying just two weeks before the start of exams were now coaxing Rose into helping them with Transfiguration which both of them were pretty hopeless in.

"Please Rose, I'll do your Divination homework for you, if you help us." Scorpius begged.

"And I'll do your DADA one. Please help us or else we'll fail." Albus added.

"Fine. But this is the last time I'm helping you. You should have started two months before like I did."

And with that she headed off to the library where Scorpius and Albus followed thanking Merlin for having Rose as friend and cousin respectively.

The exams passed by rather slowly for both Albus and Scorpius while Rose didn't have much of a problem with them.

The trio was now sitting on the Gryffindor table eating breakfast. It was now the end of third year with just a week left for the students to return back home.

"Thank god exams are over. I don't know what I would have done with they had lasted one more week.I just hope they don't give out the results until the last day." Albus said.

"Al you have spoken a bit too fast." Scorpius laughed and nodded his head in the direction of the start of the table.

Professor Longbottom was making his way through the table handing out results to the children.

Albus groaned while Scorpius and Rose fidgeted in their seats until Professor Longbottom reached them.

"And here are your results. Albus – don't worry you passed. Scorpius – you did pretty great too, you are second in the year. And finally Rose – top of the year as always. Hermione would be extremely proud." Smiling he went ahead to distributing the results to other students.

Ella who came jumping and sat down next to Rose. " I passed." She grinned and looked at Rose's result.

"Wow. That's a lot of O's for one report card."

"Thank Merlin! I passed." Albus grinned.

Laughing they all got up and went outside to sit next to the old oak tree near the Black Lake to enjoy the sunlight and their last week of third year.
