Chapter 1

A few days have passed since the Hydra incident, and the newspaper club is about to go to the human world for research, all but two of their members. The only two members of the club are Gin, and Cloud. The reasons are quite simple, Gin is an idiot and failed a few classes, and Cloud is injured. That's right Cloud has to stay in bed due to severe fatigue.

"Mr. Marikina, will cloud be ok?" asked the vampire girl with the rest of her friends, (Gin included), behind her. The school doctor examined over Cloud's sleeping form already able to tell signs of fever and fatigue. "Cloud will be fine Moka he just seems to have pushed his body over the limit. Whatever he was doing took out allot of energy. Just give him a few days of rest."

So before those eligible for the trip could go they gave Cloud there good byes, mainly The girls trying to take advantage of his tired body, by hugging (Mizore) and suffocating (Kurumu) and humping his leg (Yukari), and a certain pink haired teen to pull her class mates off him. So now we are with or spiky blonde haired protagonist, currently taking a nice walk around the school forest.

'Good you will need to be serious Prince Cloud.' Cloud remembered what the Hydra said. 'If I need to careful, they now know of my location and already sent one of their underlings to kill me. I can barely use the gold flames, and that's the strongest moves that only royalty can use, and to think I had to use it to kill a Hydra.' Cloud was lost in his thoughts till he heard gin call his name. Looking up Cloud noticed he was back at the school and Gin was casually walking up to him. But cloud could tell something was up, Gin had a very serious look in his eyes.

"You need to be careful," said to Cloud with strange moments with his arm and face, Cloud realize what he was doing and replied with a hand to his chin and nodding, "How come?" They spoke in serious quite voices so the students nearby can't hear, and if one where to look from a distance Gin and Cloud look like they were talking about homework or something of that sort.

"Follow me it's not safe to get into detail here?" Gin said with a fake excited look as he waved Cloud with him. Little to Clouds knowledge there was a student not so far away leaning on a wall with a black uniform and an arm band with the word discipline on it.

Gin leads Cloud to the newspaper club where he locked the door and they took their seats on the meeting table. "So what is it you want to talk about?" Gin sighs "Look I know you might have some crazy shit happening outside of school considering a Hydra came to kill you, but that is not your only problem now."

"What do you mean," Cloud crossed his arms and leaned back into his chair getting more comfortable.

"This school has a discipline committee run by the students,"

"Pleasant job they been doing" Cloud said with sarcasm.

"I know but because of the damage yesterday, the committee has their eye on you, and what that means is you do something they don't like they will try to take you out." Cloud noticed Gin's serious look and also saw sadness with fear in his eyes.

"So that means?"

"That means not only do you have enemies on the outside, but on the inside of school to. I know the people outside are stronger, considering that damned Hydra, but the Discipline squads won't only hurt you but everyone that's involved, that means Moka and the others get hurt, and trust me they have the power to take out all of us in the club."

"You're speaking from experience?"

"Do you see any other upper classmen in the club?" Cloud notice the guilt and pain coming off in waves radiating off Gin.

"I'm sorry."

"It's fine, anyways. The Disciplinary squads Might not have a lot of S-Class monsters, but they got a hell of a lot of numbers. And their leader is said to be a 3-tailed Kitsune."

"Three tails will be a problem, especially the numbers they have."

"Exactly I would like if you can lay low."

"Better idea, we got two whole days before Tsukune and the rest get here, we can train. Werewolves are supposed to be S-class but you are just an a-rank, we need to work on your strength and battle style, and I could you're a sparring partner."

"You're kidding right?"

"Well I'm going to train, if you want to get better or not you can follow me." Cloud said as he got up and left the room.

"Now you're making me feel guilty." Gin said with a smirk, 'This time I won't run, I will protect my underclassmen.' Gin got up and soon caught up to Cloud. As gin followed cloud in silence the two took a while to reach the isolated part of the dorms which was another forest behind it. After a short mile or so deep into to woods, Cloud stopped.

"Ok we will turn this to our camp," Cloud, said. Gin looked around and notice how isolated this part of the forest was, no real road messy terrain and trees as tall as the dorm. "Surprising you chose the place where the discipline committee squads don't patrol anymore. But that doesn't mean where safe, they or the normal students can stumble upon this place."

"It doesn't matter, we are going to use this to train for two days, anyways let's get started." Cloud said, leaving Gin confused, "What no equipment?".

"We don't need tools to clear out a place to set up a training ground, now then help me pull up these trees." Cloud said as he wrapped both arms and pulled out a tree that is easily 3 feet in diameter like it was nothing more than a weed. "This guy is crazy." Gin said as he walked up to a nearby tree, "there have to be at least 100 of these things to pull up for a decent training ground."

"Shut up and pull, make sure to leave enough to keep this place hidden but easy to do some exercise with, oh and stack up the trees to the side," Cloud said pulling up another tree. Gin noticed cloud's stack of three…make it four trees on the side. Grumbling Gin started to pull out the tree but after a few moments of struggle Gin finally pulled it straight out and tossed it to the side. "That's one down."

Three hours passed and Cloud has pulled up at least 50 trees, and leaving the rest for Gin. Speaking of Gin, he was still on the 45 tree, exhausted and trying to pull the tree out, roots and all. Cloud was just sitting on one of the trees on his stack, which was enough wood to build a decent house. "Damn it, Cloud can we continue tomorrow, it's already 10:00pm." Gin said whipping off his sweat leaning on the tree he was trying to pull out. "No we can't because we got a lot to do, in the next two days, and I won't allow sleep, or slacking off till the others comes back." Gin fell to the ground and from the ground gave Cloud a glare of hate, "You never mentioned that!" Gin shouted in the position he was in. "Well too bad if you want to stay weak you can leave if not, keep pulling you got five more trees before we start building the practice dummies and other equipment we will use from the lumber we have."

So over the next day of no rest, Gin and Cloud split up the work of building wood dummies giving Cloud a wooden sword, and a bunch of wooden objects that they hung up and rigged with vines from deeper in the woods, making an obstacle course. As mentioned they both didn't sleep and when they got hungry they either ate crows raw of whatever insect that didn't seem poisonous. And on that day from3am to 9am Cloud and Gin ran through and around the forest so many times that they ran 20 miles, and who ever didn't finish first has to run another 5 more, needless to say Gin ran 25 today. After an hour break from 10 am to 2 pm Gin and Cloud sparred, at first Gin was barely a match for Cloud when they both transformed, but by the end Gin was able to at least give Cloud some trouble Right before ?Gin passed out for 10 minutes. At 3pm they would rest until 4pm and then Gin would go through the obstacle course that Cloud controlled and made for Gin improvement only. But right now it was 6pm and Gin and Cloud are going through their strength exercises, of 100 pushups 100 sit ups, 50 pull ups each arm and 100 squats, all with a one hundred pound boulder strapped onto their backs and chest. Cloud was displaying the multiple scars on his torso cause he discarded the shirt he wore they day before. Gin was pretty much in the same clothing, head band and shirt forgotten, a lot of cuts and bruises to add on with the heavy fatigue and lack of sleep, not being used to this punishment on the body, he already threw up 5 times and passed out at least 3 times since they started, and they still had a whole day to go.

The time is now 11 pm the first day almost complete, and we see Gin sitting against a tree as Cloud started a fire, "You did well today." Gin was almost asleep till he heard that, and in pure stubbornness fought of the sleep to retort, "Fuck….you." Cloud smirked at his sempai. "You can sleep now because as soon as it is 10 am, we will start again, but this time no break and I'm going to break your limits." Cloud waited for a complaint but sighed when he realized Gin was asleep before he finished his sentence. Cloud tossed in a few more pieces of wood before he himself got up to reset the obstacle course, 'just cause I gave Gin a break I won't rest." So until 7am Cloud went on with the hellish training of running and lifting, as long as practicing with his wooden sword.

Gin awoke sometime during 9am, to the smell of something being cooked, instantly he sat up and forced his eyes to adjust to the brightness and to focus on the source of the smell. What he saw was Cloud cooking crows and a snake or two, along with wooden cups with water that was purified from the ground and plants. To gin who only had raw insects and birds along with muddy water; this was a gift from god, a decent cooked meal with actually purified water. Gin quickly made his way to Cloud, "What's this I thought you said we won't have time for these luxuries.

"Don't test me, I just giving you something that can get you through today, because you will need as much energy as you can get, that's why you could sleep and eat. Today Gin you will be reborn through blood sweat and tears." Cloud said pushing over the wooden cup full of water along with roasted bird and snake on a stick to the were wolf. Needless to say Gin was glad to eat and when done spent time stretching his sore body for what was to come.

"It's time Gin, as soon as I tell you to go you will have to survive, I had set up traps all over the forest, your goal is to reach this campsite before sunset." Confused gin was about to speak before Cloud continued, "I will attach stones on your body, about 100 pounds worth. But that's not all; you also have to reach the camp before I kill you."

"Back to… wait kill me!" Gin said in shock as he noticed he was in part of the forest in which he didn't recognize during the past day.

"Yes not only do you have a 100lbs on you, you also have to navigate through the traps I set in the forest and after 1 hour from the start I will hunt you down, and if I find you, I will do my best to kill you. It's simple, you live long enough to reach camp or you live long enough for me to have a new wolf fur jacket." Gin shivered, feeling that Cloud is 100% serious and the look in his eyes says no mercy. "Time starts now"

Gin took about ten seconds to realize he meant it was starting, and in a hurry transformed, and as soon as he ran pass the first few trees he was covered in 100lbs, forcing the S-class monster to trip, taking a minute to get back up and drag the weights he looked through the branches 20 feet above and wondered how long was it till sunset. Quickly as he could gin ran through the forest leaving behind an obvious trail to follow. It wasn't until he turned around that he noticed the path he carved by clawing vines and trees out of the way.

'Shit I have to be more careful, or else Cloud would easily track me down.' Gin steadied his pace and maneuvered his way pass the vegetation in his way. After a few more minutes Gin wondered if Cloud really set up traps, and when Gin was done with that thought, he activated one of the traps; Gin activated a trap that left him hanging by his feet upside down bonded by vines next to a tree.

'Shit I just had to jinx it.' Gin thought as he struggled to get free. It took Gin about 17 minutes to get loose from the vines covering his arms. Gin then shredder the vines holding his feet up and landed perfectly on his feet, but suddenly it got colder, 'Damn, how much time has it been since this started, oh god no, don't tell me he is already tracking me down.' Gin though as panic forced its way into his head. 'Snap out of it' Gin thought as he slammed the tree splintering a large amount of wood, 'I need to hurry.'

Cloud was casually following the trail Gin made earlier, "I hope he does know he won't make it if he goes straight, he will eventually fall into one of the many Snares I left in wait. After a Long walk Cloud eventual came to a tree that was splintered by an outside force. "So he finally got serious after being caught." Cloud smirked as he looked around seeing no obvious trail, but if you looked closely you could see a small patch of fur on a branch. 'I won't let you get through this easy Gin.'
