Amy leaned her head on Infinite's arm as they leaned onto a balcony door. She was wearing a beautiful blue dress and staring at the moon.
"This reminds me of the good ole days." Maria said, speaking with Amy's mouth.
"We would forget about the time, and dance and sing and other things." Infinite smirked down at her. He placed a kiss on her lips, "It seems like it was just yesterday." He kissed her again, "What other mobian can go around kissing his sister in law?"
"Don't say that." She kisses his nose.
"But it's true, you are still technically my brother's wife." He kissed her roughly again, a jealous tingle in this one. "I fought Mephiles for you multiple times and lost. After finally the last one, I tried to forget you..."
"There's no need to forget me." She whispered back. "You dont owe anything to Mephiles. That was in the past. I am resurrected now, as you wanted it to be."
"You mean as we wanted it to be."
"What the fuck is going on here?"
Both turned to see an angry Shadow seething. Infinite pulled away from Amy's body quickly, and Shadow continued to glare at them back and forth. Who the fuck did his uncle think he was kissing his woman!? And why was Amy letting it happen!?
"Shadow, it's nice to see you again."
His pupils dialated and grew. His teeth shown and he snarled.
"What the fuck did you do?" He had Infinite pushed against a wall, snarling even more.
"Wow, you're not even pleased to see your mommy again?" Maria said with a fake voice. "But Infinite yes darling, please explain everything. I'm needing some rest, and I'm not fully used to this body yet. She shouldn't even be conscious, yet she fought hard to keep her mind." She walked past Shadow and smirked, "I guess it's still not fully my body yet." He growled as he heard the doors shut. He looked to Infinite for an explanation.
"What did you do to Amy?"
Infinite closed his eyes, "When Sonic pushed Maria off that night, I was distraught to see Maria, almost dead in a bush of roses... She asked me to rip out her heart and then implant it into another body. So I took her heart, and I've been saving it."
"And you fucking put it inside AMY!?"
"Yes, and now that Maria is inside Amy, once the girls body is fully awakened, it will obliterate the weaker soul, leaving only Maria inside."
Infinite flew backwards as Shadow's fist collided with his cheek. The jackal was ready to fight back but Shadow was already gone.
She heard them, footsteps approached from behind her as she gazed out at the lake.
"What will you do now, Shadow?" She smirked and turned to him. "Will you kill me again?"
He stared at her with no expression before softly speaking, "I used to be a bad swimmer."
"Yes, you were." She smiled sweetly, "And you improved greatly thanks to me."
"Yes, and now it's your turn." He glared at her with murderous eyes, and Amy's body flailed as laughter erupted.
"But you remember, mommy is a good swimmer." She winked.
"Prove it." He was behind her instantly, and shoved her hard off the dock. She gasped when she hit the water. Her body was unbearably heavy, her muslces would not work. Maria growled,
'Hah, you thought you had everything planned out. Shadow knows everything about me, Maria.'
"YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T SWIM?!"
"Sometimes the first body available isn't always the best."
Amy's eyes opened suddenly, she gasped and inhaled a bunch of water. She was back! Quickly she kicked her feet as hard as she could until she reached air. She flailed about like a fish, "SHADOW! I'M BACK, SHE'S OUT."
"Hm?" He quirked an eyebrow, "How do I know it's you?"
"Cause apparently I'm the only one you'd screw in some dark and shadey underground tunnel now help me!" She somehow managed to grab ahold of the edge of the dock and pulled herself up as she glared into his ruby eyes. He smirked and lifted her up into his arms, in an instant they were back in her room. She blinked and looked up at him. His hands were quick to remove her dress, she shivered until she was left naked in nothing. He tossed her wet clothes aside into a hamper and turned to look at her. She felt her heart beat quickly, and her blood raced in her veins. He sniffed the air and his thirst went haywire. He was so thirsty from worrying and fighting. He started removing his tie and he approached her. She flushed, "Wait, Shadow-" There was no time as he kissed her suddenly, pushing her back onto the bed as his nails dug into her side. She let him kiss her before he left her lips and bit down on her collar bone. She gasped and tangled her hands in his quills He pressed against her suddenly. She blinked, when had he taken his clothes off? She didn't know or care. Their lips found each other again, and he suddenly entered her, causing a loud moan to leave her mouth, "Shadow!"
'It's the awakening that's making me this crazy...' He thought. He roughly grabbed her tail, causing her to moan louder. More, he wanted more.

He looked down at her seriously, their gazes entranced as they rested their foreheads against each other. He huffed, "Why were you alone with Scourge?" She growled.
"After everything that's happened to me, that's the question you want to ask?"
"I want to know." He said sternly.
"Fine, I was asking him about Maria, and telling him I felt something was wrong with me. So he said he could only help me if I let him taste my blood."
"Oh, and what was his diagnosis, do tell." She giggled at his jealousy and held his hand.
"He said my blood has changed, and it had to do with the... awakening." She whispered. "And he told me hardly any brides survive to the point of the awakening."
He sighed and held her close, she frowned, "What's wrong with me, Shadow? Why is Maria in my body?"
"When we killed her..." He kissed her nose, "Infinite tore out her heart with the intention of implanting it into another body."
"And... now it's... inside me?" She whispered.
"Not the heart. Her soul. If she still resides in you when you fully awaken, the stronger soul will stay, and the body will send out the weak one... Once that happens, they will implant her heart. But I wont let it happen, I promise." He looked at her seriously, "I'll keep you safe."
"Mmm..." Her stomach growled and she flushed. He patted her head, "Stay here and don't leave. I'll go get you food." He got up and left, his paces fast. She could hear him running down the hall. There was a sigh of relief and she got up and dressed quickly. She looked around the room. Where was her cross? She opened the drawer by her bed and found the knife Knuckles had given her. She gulped and reached out and put it in her back pocket. With all the craziness going on, she might need it.
"Your blood is going to drive them crazy."
She staggered backwards, when she heard his voice, Infinite. She turned and glared at him.
"Your nearly awakened blood makes them all lose their self control. Eventually it will lead to an ugly conflict among all the brothers." Infinite took a step towards her and she panicked, looking back at the door. He grabbed her cheeks, "It will mean death for a lot of them."
"No, they're all my friends." Amy glared.
"You know it's going to happen." He glared back, "Stop denying it."
She frowned, he was right, they had all been really thirsty lately. They did say her blood was changing. Even Scourge took a few more licks, and he normally never bit or licked her.
"Clear your thoughts, the only answer available will come to you, you just need to accept her when she comes back."
The window burst open, and Amy lost consciousness again.
"A pretty clever trick my son pulled, but it will not happen again."
Amy turned and glared at Maria, "I won't give into you."
"You're weak, you have no idea what you're doing." Maria shot back.
"Says the one who couldn't even swim." Amy smirked. Maria growled and reached out quickly,
"GIVE IN!"
"NEVER!"
"You really think Shadow ever loved you!? He left you alone when you were at your most defenseless. He intended on me coming back for you."
"No! He wouldn't!" Amy felt tears spill down her eyes.
"You know it to be true, he, does not, love you."
Her eyes fluttered open, and instead of Amy's normal green eyes being there, they were a bright blue. She turned, the full time for the awakening had happened. She now had control of all of this body.
"Welcome back for real this time, Maria."
