Silence fell over us. I could hear people celebrating and I could hear the animals running in the woods. I know I should just drop the subject but I had to know. "Can you tell me about her and what happened?" I asked him as I placed a hand on his shoulder. He looked at me and nodded. We found a tree stump and sat down on it.

"I met her thirty five years ago. Tom and I just turned twenty one and he wanted to go out to the village to celebrate. I didn't like the idea of it but it was his birthday too, so I went along with it. We were having a blast which surprised me. I went to go grab another drink and ended up hitting into someone.

It was one of the servents that worked at the bar. My breath was taking away when I saw her. She was petite, long black hair, tanned skin, blue eyes, and a face full of innocense. I never had such an attraction to someone before. I had to get to know her. After that night, I took every chance I was able to get, to come to the village and get to know her.

Her name was Annalia. Eventually, Annalia and I became more than friends, I fell in love with her. My father allowed her to come to the castle when I was unable to make it to the village. We were almost at two years of being together until all hell broke loose. I was going to ask her to marry me that day as well. We went into the woods and she wanted to climb the mountain.

I told her it wasn't a good idea but she refused to listen to me so instead of fighting, I allowed her to have her way. We made it half way up until she grabbed an unstable rock and slipped..." Bill trailed off and closed his eyes. I laid my hand on his arm and he sighed. "Did she.." Bill shook his head. "No, I caught her before she fell. She never knew what I was until that day. In a way I wish I wouldn't of caught her because we were doomed from that day foward either way.

She was in a trance when we landed on the ground. Then she saw my black wings and screamed. I figured she would not of cared what I was since she loved me but I was wrong. She screamed 'monster' and 'the rumors were true' at me and ran. I stood there as I watched her run away, I was to frozen to move." He became quiet and placed his fist in his hand as he stared at the trees in front of him. "What happened next?" I asked him and he looked up at me. "I went to go beg for her back two days later. I was terrified to go get her back. Her parents didn't already approve of my dark choice in clothes as well as for my long black hair so I could only imagine of how they felt about me now and with them being christian, I was definately the anti-christ to them.

I made it to her house and she was gone including her family. I went into the village bar and asked if he seen Annalia. That's when he told me he saw her family heading towards the church that morning. So of course I went to the church. I opened the door to the church and I felt myself die in the inside. There she was laying lifeless on a table in front of everyone. It turns out after our incident, she went to the preacher to ask for forgiveness because she fell in love with the anti christ. The preacher told her parents and they ended up poisining her food that night and she ended up dying a day later.

I was furious and on top of that everyone was yelling demon, evil being, and throwing crosses at me. All the madness built up, until finally I exploded and so did the church. I stared in horror at what I did. Tom pulled me out of the village and took me back home. This is my first time back in the village since that incident happened. But ever since Annalia, I told myself I would never get close to another again, and then I met you." My breath got caught in my throat as I became frozen when he looked at me. His eyes stayed locked to mine.

"I was going to do my best to be good to you as best as I could. You were going to be my wife so I had to promise myself that. But then that day when you called me a monster...it took me back to Annalie and I figured you were going to be the same. So I became cold towards you to protect myself. But when Joon looked at you like he wanted you, I suddenly became jealous and I was so mad at myself for that and that made me grow even more cold than before. Then the unthinkable happened, you saw me for what I truly was and instead of asking me about that, you asked me if I loved you... I didn't know how to react, so I ended up pushing you away.

Tom told me, I was going to push you away and you were going to go Joon if I kept it up. I hated the fact you would possibly do that, but if that's who you wanted, I wasn't going to keep you prisoner here but then I remembered what you told me, you loved him but not as much as me. I even listened to the conversation, when Joon said he wanted to join you guys and you were going to stay behind." He looked down at the ground as a smirk slowly formed across his face and I felt a smile form on mine. "When you guys left, I became anxious. I kept thinking Joon was going to try to do something with you and the thought of him kissing you again or any passes, it angered me so I sent a watch dog so I could watch you."

A crow flew down and landed on a tree right beside us. "Well more like a watch bird." He laughed as he looked down at the ground. "So let me guess, you came here because Joon was being a little to friendly?" A smirk slowly began forming on his face and I felt smile forming on mine. "Jealousy is an evil thing isn't it?" "Can I ask you something?" He looked up at me with a raised brow as I took it as an okay. "What war is coming?" He let out a laugh and shook his head. "Of all the things, I just told you, you ask me something that's not even relateable. You sure are a mystery. How did you know about the war?" I flashed a guilty smile and he sighed.

"I should of known. What else did he tell you?" "He told me that he was a dark angel himself and that's about it. But I want to know how is going to attack us." Bill sighed and looked at me. "I'd tell you but it truly does not involve you." "But I am your wife and in order to protect u-" Bill placed his finger on my lips. "You don't need to protect anyone. My job is to protect you and keep you safe. That's exactly what I plan on doing. So please do not worry about any of this." I nodded and looked at the ground. Bill stood up and kneeled down in front of me. He placed his hand on my chin and moved my head up to look up at him. "Would you like to go home?" I nodded and he smiled.

He stood up and pulled me up with him. "What about the others? Do we need to tell them so they can leave to?" "Why do we need to do that?" "Because we'll need the carriage." He let out a laugh and shook his head. "We don't need a carriage." "We can't walk there." "Sam, how do you think I got here?" I paused and started thinking. How did he get here? We left way before he did. I looked at him puzzled. With a smile, his wings came out of his back with a swoosh sound. "We're flying?!" "You're not scared of heights are you?" I looked at him and then up at the sky. Nope. Just nope.

"I think I'll walk." I told him and started walking away but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into him. "Just hide your face in my chest and keep your eyes closed. I won't let you fall." He told me as he placed a kiss on my forehead and wrapped his arms around me. I nodded and nuzzled my face into his chest as I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms tight around him. I heard a swoosh and lots of wind hitting my face. My legs were dangling so I knew we were in the sky. I squeezed him tighter and I heard him chuckle.

Once my feet felt the ground, I opened my eyes. I turned my head to look around at our surroundings. We were on our balcony to the bedroom. "See, it wasn't so bad." Bill told me as he looked down at me and I smiled. "No it wasn't" He chuckled and moved away from me walkng into the bedroom. I followed him into the room and noticed he was about to leave. "Where are you going?" I asked him. "To the study." I nodded as I looked down at the ground while crossing my arms. "Would you like to join me?" I looked up at him, shocked. "Are you serious?" He rose an eyebrow at me. "I wouldn't ask you if I wasn't." I smiled at him and followed him up to the study located up in the tower.

When he opened the door, my mouth fell open. The floor made of marble, an african darkwood desk with gold linen was in the room along with african darkwood furniture, a chair that looked like a small throne was at the desk, bookshelves filled with anchient book was against the walls, and an arch that lead to a balcony. I walked outside and I could see a view of the village nestled into the woods. I heard a chair being dragged across the floor and I looked inside. Bill moved a chair beside him at the desk. I walked over to the chair and sat down. I watched him grab scrolls and read them.

"What are those?" I asked him, curious. "These are requests from the villagers." Then he pointed at a box full of scrolls on the other side of the desk, "and these are requests from other kingdoms." I nodded and continued watching him. "Would you like to try to do one?" He asked me and I nodded eagerly. He laughed as he pulled a scroll out from the villager box. "Okay, what you are going to do is read it, and if you like the request, then you will sign right here." He told me as pointed to a dotted line at the bottom of the scroll. I nodded and grabbed a pen. He smiled and went back to his. I read the scroll and a small giggle came out. I quickly covered my mouth with my hand. Bill looked over at me, questionly.

"Someone would like to have a talent show for their 'singing cows'." Bill shook his head, took the scroll, and threw it into the trash box. "Hey, that could of been entertaining!" I told him between giggles and he smiled as he read his. "Go back to the scrolls, Sam." I grabbed another one and began reading it. Another church was requested. I remembered Bill's story and rolled the scroll back up then threw it in the trash box. "Not even a consideration for that?" Bill asked me as I grabbed another. "Nope, we already have one church, another won't be necessary." He nodded and continued reading. I looked at him and stared, maybe for a little too long cause he turned his head to look at me.

"Yes?" He asked me and I shrugged. "Just trying to imagine you with long hair." He smiled and leaned back in his chair. "I can try to grow it out if you want." I smiled and looked down at the desk. "I wouldn't mind seeing what it looks like." He chuckled and turned away. I shyly looked back at him. "Bill?" "Hmm?" He looked over at me and I leaned up to kiss him. I grabbed the collar of his shirt to hold onto as my lips shaped his. I leaned back to look at him as I tried to catch my breath. He placed his hand on the back of my head and moved it towards him. My lips once again met his and this one had so much urgency in it.

I heard stuff being pushed off the desk and onto the floor. I suddenly felt my butt hit the desk and Bill was standing in front of me, with his lips still on mine. His tongue traced the bottom of my lip and I could feel the ball from his piercing in his tongue. His tongue then went in my mouth and tangled with mine. He ran his hands down from my face to my hips. He grabbed my hips and pressed me into him and wrapped my legs around his waist. I moved my hands up his shirt and ran my hands up his chest. I moved my face away from his so I could catch my breath and he began kissing my neck.

I grabbed his suit jacket and pulled it off of him. He grabbed my face and turned my face towards him so he could kiss me again. As his tongue fought with mine again, I reached up and started unbuttoning the top of his buttons on his shirt. In the process of me doing that, he pulled off my jacket and ran his hands down to the hem of my shirt. He slowly began to pull my shirt up.

"Uhumhm." Someone cleared their throat.

Bill and I stopped immediately. He helped me off the desk and buttoned up his buttons. "Looks like doing requests is going well." Jorg looked at us with a smirk and a brow raised. I felt my cheeks become warm and I looked at Bill. "Sorry, dad. We got a little carried away." Bill told him as he put his suit jacket back on. "A little?" Jorg asked as he looked around the desk at the mess. "What happened?" I died when Tom popped up from behind Jorg. He looked at the scene, then at us, and a huge smirck formed on his face. "Oh la la la." Tom told me with a wink. Then Joon and his father walked in. Joon looked at the mess and then at us. He shot a glare at Bill and wouldn't even look at me. "I'll be taking my leave now." I told them and began walking out the door. I shot a glance at Bill and he nodded while smiling, reassuring me.

On my way to the room, I heard something hit the floor from Whitley's room. I walked towards the door and opened the door. She was on the floor with her head in her hands. I walked over to her and kneeled down beside her. "Are you okay?" She looked up at me and sighed. "He loves me, Sam." "Okay?" I said confused and she looked at me like I was missing the point. "Do you remember what mom said before we left?" I shrugged and rose a brow. "To not fall in love with them?" I asked and she nodded. "She told us not to do that, so we can run away and go back home to her." "Whitley, we can't do that." "It was the plan. At least that's what Mir said." I looked at her. "What do you mean by that?" "He was so drunk and while Tom was talkng with Ms. Janice, he told me that Joon had plans to get us out of here and back home." "And did you want to go back home?" I asked her. She sighed and looked down at the floor as she picked at her nails. "No, not really."

She looked up at me and did a slight smile. "I'm not trapped in the castle all day. I have freedom here. Mom would not even allow us to leave the backyard. I'm happy here." I smiled and she did too. "You love him don't you?" She giggled and nodded her head. "You're going to be here for a long time, so don't let the little things like that bother you." She smiled and gave me a hug. "Thank you for listening." I smiled and stood up. Then there was a knock on the door and it was Thomas. "The highnesses are having a meeting and would like you two to be present." I helped Whitley and we followed Thomas down to the dinning area.

Jorg and King Lee were sitting at the head of the table. Mrs. Maxwell and Ms. Janice were sitting on each side of one them. Whitley took a seat beside Mrs. Maxwell and I took a seat beside my instructor, Ms. Janice. Bill and Tom walked into the room with Joon and Mir following behind them. Bill sat beside me and Tom took his place beside Whitley. Joon sat beside Tom, still not daring to look at me, and Mir sat beside Bill. Georg and Gustav came in and took their seats as well. Thomas stayed standing at the door.

"Why the sudden meeting?" Tom asked and Jorg sighed. "We have been called to the Kingdom on the west shore. They want to help us with the war. So Lee and I are going to see them tomorrow." "So you will be leaving without us?" Bill asked. "Someone has to watch the Kingdom as I'm gone." Jorg told him and Bill nodded. Lee looked at his kids and they eyed him. "You two will be staying here as well." Joon glared at his father and Mir only nodded. "Ms. Janice, you will be coming with me." Jorg told her and she nodded. "Of course, my lord." Tom rolled his eyes at her answer. It was no question that these two had a thing going on.

"Okay, Jorg let's go round up these soldiers." Jorg stood up and looked at us. "Twenty soldiers will be coming and the rest will stay here." Bill and Tom nodded. "Okay, that is all." We all stood up and began to walk out of the room. "Bill, Tom, Joon, and Mir." The four of them stopped and looked at Jorg. "Please follow Georg to the fight room. I need him to go over some procedures and excercises with you guys, just in case someone attacks the castle while I am gone." None of them objected and began followng Georg out of the room. Bill reached over to grab my arm and pulled me to him. "When you sleep tonight, dream about what could of happened in the study."He whispered and my cheeks grew warm at the thought. He smirked and planted a kiss on top of my forehead before walking out of the room.
