At long last the last chapter of episode two, I like to apologize for taking so long to complete this episode and I hope it won't take me as long for episode three. So you waited long enough, The last chapter for Out of Luck. Enjoy.

(Nine Rivers Country Club: 6:50 p.m.)

The main banquet hall was all decked out for the gala with things like fancy white table cloths to decorative ribbons, the hall also had some of Arlen's riches residents who were all decked out in tuxedos and expensive dresses just talking among their themselves. Only two of these people stood out from the rest, they were the two candidates running from Mayor of Arlen, Ted Wassonasong and Vergil Min, which this was the first time after announcing their candidacies they've seen each other.

"I'm so sorry to hear about your drop in the polls." Ted said to Vergil with false sympathy

Vergil smirked at Ted's comment.

"Well thanks, Ted," Vergil sarcastically responded, "my congrats to you for getting the support from Shiny Pines."

"I know you were planning on getting their votes."

Then out of Buck Strickland walked up to the two.

"I hope you two don't mind if I cut in but I couldn't help myself by eavesdropping on your conversation."Buck explained his intrusion

"Not at all," Ted said granting Buck permission to speak, "I was just telling Vergil how I scooped the votes from the trailer park from under his nose."

"Buck, I'm surprised you're here considering you got robbed a few days ago." Stated Vergil who wanted to change the subject

"We'll I managed to dig up an antique bust I bought years ago from my storage unit."

"It's seems those crooks aren't as good as they think." Ted mocked the thieves skills

"Still, knowing there are thieves running I'm surprised you went ahead with throwing this little shindig." Vergil said

"I took all precautions and hired the best security money can buy." Ted bragged

"I hope it's enough." Buck stated his concern

The trio's conversation was overheard by a couple nearby, a man with black hair wearing a tux and a blacked hair woman wearing a black dress with matching elbow length gloves.

"I can't believe Strickland had a storage unit," the woman complained,"imagine the valuables we missed."

"Relax, darling, once the auction begins will pick them clean."

"Go over it one more time, babe."

"So, we can't simply walk into the room and grab the items because of the guards, however, they bring the items out one at a time so these idiots will bid all their money, that means after the bidding is over they'll have the guards take the item back to the room."

"The last part still confuses me."

"When the last item leaves the room we'll jump the guards, steal the key, and grab any that will fit into the bags I stashed in the restroom which then I will pull the fire alarm and we make our escape to through the fire exit."

"We'll then sell the items and get out of this country." The woman added

We leave the couple and join Bobby, Berry, and Cameron as they roam the halls of Nine Rivers searching for Seth and Ava.

"We've already been down this hall." Cameron informed

"Seth and Ava are around here somewhere," Bobby said, "they can't carry out their task."

"Let's not forget that Seth has that gem that allowed him to dodge all your attacks." Berry reminded

"Thanks for reminding me."

They turned to the right to the next hallway when Bobby heard somebody coming.

"Quick, in there, hurry."

Right when Berry shut the door they heard voices that Bobby and Berry recognized.

"You sure Seth and Ava will be here?" A male voiced questioned

"How could they resist an opportunity like this gala?" A second man asked

"That's Detective Stokes and Chase." Bobby whispered

"What are the chances that the wolf like creäture we saw scared them away?"

"I doubt those two are afraid, plus if the crime scene told us one thing is that Seth held his own against it." Stokes explained as they got out of earshot

"This is ridiculous, Bobby who was now irked groaned," if we're going to catch them then we'll need to think like them."

"If I was a criminal I would put on a disguise and go into the banquet hall and check out all the potential loot I could steal." Berry shared his opinion

"Although if one was to do that then they would need to get into the room where they keep all the auctioned items." Cameron chimed in

"Perfect, that is where they'll head when the auction ends," Bobby figured, "we need to find that room and wait."

Finding the room was surprisingly easy, however the real challenge are the guards who take turns standing watch while the other took the items to and from the room.

"What do we do now, guys?" Cameron asked

"Probably wait for the auction to end then hopefully Seth and Ava show up." Bobby suggested

(7:37 p.m.)

"Our last item of the evening," the auctioneer announced,"is this unique seven crystal amethyst necklace, the bid will start at $100."

"I think you deserve that necklace as a retirement gift." Seth whispered to Ava

"We'll I have something to show you before we leave town." Ava said with a smile

"Sold, to Mr. Sizemore for $270," the auctioneer shouted, " that does it for the auction, now in a few moments the highest bidders will receive their items."

This was the moment Seth and Ava waited for, they discreetly left their table and made their to the room where they'll collect their loot. Seth collected the bags from the restroom while Ava put on some makeup, they reached the designated hallway and as predicted the guard was taking the necklace back to the room.

"You ready, honey?" Asked Seth

"Ready as ever." Ava replied

She quickly took off her necklace, earrings, a ring, she slightly pulled down the right strap of her dress, and then her took off her left heal which she broke.

"Help me!" She screamed getting both guards attention

The guard standing by the door ran down the towards her.

"What happened?" The guard asked

"I was in the restroom freshening up when someone came in and then..." Ava explained as she pretended to cry, "they mugged me, they took my grandmas necklace, my earrings my fiancé gave me and my engagement ring."

"Did get a good look at them?"

"Yes I did, I was no one."

"Excuse me?" Asked the second guard

Suddenly something struck both guards from behind and fell to the floor as Seth reached down to grab the keys and the necklace which he handed to Ava who immediately placed it around her neck. Bobby, Berry, and Cameron had just saw these events being transpired.

"This is it," Bobby announced, "I take on Seth while you two go after Ava."

Seth and Ava by this time had entered the room and like the professionals they are had already filled one bag each.

"Babe, I'm going to get the car and pull up right next to the fire exit, you finish up here." Ava said as she left the room

Seth had just placed some rare coins into the bag when someone entered the room.

"Ava, I'll be fine, just go."

Instead of hearing Ava's voice he heard a growl, when he turned he cracked a smile for standing in the doorway was the Arlen Werewolf.

"Came back to get our ass kicked again, pup?" Seth mocked

"I came to stop your shopping spree." Bobby replied

Seth chuckled as he pulled out the gem.

"We both know you can't touch me while I'm holding this little beauty."

Bobby lunged at Seth and similarly to last time dodged the attack causing Bobby's head to get stuck in a painting.

"It's nice to see a monster so into art." Seth joked

Bobby pulled his head out and flung the painting at Seth but again he dodged the attack.

"When will you learn that luck is on my side."

Bobby was about to say something when two people entered the room. Seth turned around and saw Detectives Stokes and Chase at the door with their guns pointed at him.

"Look who finally caught up with me."

"Seth Ryker, you are under arrest for seven accounts of robbery and three accounts of suspected robbery," Stokes said, " now put your hands on top of your head."

"What about the monster behind him?" Chase asked noticing Bobby

"I told you before I'm not the bad guy." Bobby reminded

Stokes carefully walked towards Seth with his gun pointed at the criminal. When he got close enough Seth quickly grabbed the gun from his hands then fired the gun at Chase who got hit in the right shoulder and fell to the ground. Bobby took this opportunity to attack Seth and for once he managed to land a blow and knocked him to the ground where the gem fell out of his pocket.

"Luck is on my side now."

"Good job." Stokes praised as he tried to think of a logical explanation for the monster's action

Their attention got returned to Seth who was moaning in pain on the floor.

"What's going on?" Stokes demanded to know

Suddenly Seth stopped moving then he slowly got off the floor to show his appearance had severely changed into a hideous creäture.

"Dear God."

Meanwhile Berry and Cameron had located the criminal's car in the parking lot and were now sabotaging it by slashing the tires and Berry was messing with the engine.

"Where did you learn cars?" Cameron who seemed impressed with Berry's knowledge asked

"Nowhere," Berry replied, "I know cars need all the engine to work, so if pull random things out then maybe that will stop them."

"Hey, you kids!"

They turned to see a security guard running towards them.

"Frak!" They both shouted before running away

Berry and Cameron out ran the guard by doubling back so they could help Bobby as the guard began examining the car which Ava noticed.

"Son of a..." She growled before heading back in side to tell Seth who was at the moment staring at both Detective Stokes and Bobby.

"Detective stand back," Bobby suggested, "I have a felling this is something only I can handle."

Seth growled as Bobby made his move but to his surprise Seth punched him and sent him flying across the room.

"I have increased luck with the gem and increased strength without it, nice." Seth noted

This didn't intimidate Bobby for he only got back up to fight him. Stokes who had watched the fight decided at the moment that the werewolf was only doing what he was there to do and stop Seth. So with a second thought he pulled out his back up gun and shot Seth in the side giving Bobby the chance to tackle him hard enough that both ended up in the hallway. Seth quickly got the upper hand and shoved Bobby from top him and started to make his way towards the fire exit to meet up with Ava but several guards showed up and changed that plan and made him heads towards the banquet hall. Bobby looked over at Stokes who was checking on his partner.

"He's alive, go get him." Stokes said

In the banquet hall the crowd was getting restless for they were demanding their newly purchased property.

"I want my painting." Buck Strickland shouted

However the guards didn't let them through but that then the doors suddenly busted open and Seth entered the room.

"What is that thing?" Someone screamed

The people became more frightened when Bobby entered the room and attacked Seth.

"The Arlen Werewolf," another person shouted, " it really does exist."

That statement put a satisfied smile of Vergil Min's face as Bobby and Seth both stood back up.

"It's over Seth," Bobby said, "you got nowhere to run."

Seth's response was picking up a nearby table and slamming it on top of Bobby, this caused the people to head towards the doors. Bobby quickly recovered from the attack and returned the favor by striking him with a chair. During that time Berry and Cameron had made it back into the country club only to come across a fleeing mob of rich people and were force back outside.

"We have to get back in there." Cameron said once the crowd cleared

"I'm afraid we have to stay out of this one,",Berry stated ,"these people have obviously seen him, if we go back in there they'll see us then they'll discover the werewolf's true identity."

Back in the banquet hall the room was clear all except Bobby, Seth, and a few people who decided to stay and watch the fight including both Wasonasong and Min. Seth went for an attack but Bobby was to quick and was able strike Seth in the chest causing him to bleed.

"Give up, it's over without the gem you can't win."

"I no longer need it, with this new form I can do so much more, there is nothing you can do to stop me."

That is when they heard the sound of gun fire coming from the hallway. One of the guard's (who had stayed in the room) radio went off.

"I have a suspect down and need medical attention, I repeat I have female suspect down and need of medical attention."

"NO!" Seth screamed as he ran out of the room with Bobby closed behind

When he caught up with him, Seth had killed the guard and he was kneeling on the floor holding a body.

"You did this," Seth accused, "you couldn't leave us alone, you had to play the hero, thanks to you the woman I love is dead."

Seth carefully laid Ava's body the floor then stood up to face Bobby who saw that Seth eyes were now complete dark orange and his face had become even more monstrous.

"You will pay for this you bastard." Seth roared in a deeper animal like voice

He charged at Bobby and knocked him to the ground where he attempted to bite him with his razor-sharp teeth but before Bobby could make a move something struck Seth from behind so hard it rendered him motionless and fall to the floor Bobby looked to see a fire axe sticking out of his back even more surprising it was Vergil Min standing there above him. Bobby's moment of relief was short-lived when Min pulled the axe out of Seth back and ready to use it on him.

"You're demise at my hands with guarantee me place in city hall," Vergil informed as he lifted the axe over his head, "prepare to meet death."

"Hold it."

Vergil looked to his left and saw Stokes with his gun pointed at him.

"I'll be a minute, Detective."

When Vergil looked back the werewolf was gone.

"I can't believe it," Vergil said before turning back to Stokes, "I'll have your badge for this, Detective."

Stokes saw the bodies of Seth Ryker and Ava McKay, the criminals he chased for a year, whose criminal career and lives ended like Bonnie and Clyde.

(Arlen Water Tower: 8: 30 p.m.)

Bobby, Berry, and Cameron had made it to the Cadillac and were able to get away to a place were they could quickly recover from the events that transpired.

"Damn it,", Bobby shouted as he slammed his fist on the hood of the car, "I blew it, I messed everything."

"I don't get it, we stopped the criminals why are you so up set?" Cameron asked

"We didn't stop them some guard killed Ava while Vergil Min who by the way is anti-supernatural killed Seth and will now take the credit for stopping him." Bobby explained

"When he does that his chances of winning will increase." Berry added

"I just wish one of my friends can catch a break." Cameron stated

"What you mean by that?" Bobby asked

"Okay, the reason Jade has been so distant recently is because a few days before this whole thing happened her father went into cardiac arrest and nearly died, I haven't spoken to Jade since it happened."

Bobby and Berry were speechless, they hadn't about this from anyone."

"So yes, you may have failed to catch some crooks but Jade almost lost her father."

"You're right,", Bobby admitted, " it's my fault her father is in the hospital in the first place, so for I think we should lay low until this incident passes."

"Good idea,", Berry agreed, "hopefully the next weird thing doesn't happen for a while."

(The Hill House: one week later)

"Once again the citizens of Arlen would like candidate Vergil Min for putting a stop to the criminal activities of Seth Ryker and in related news Greg Stokes, the lead detective on the Ryker-McKay case has resigned from the Dallas Police Department while his partner Alan Chase is currently recovering in the hospital." The news anchor reported before the TV got turned off by Bobby who was in the living room with his dad

"Great, I cost Detective Stokes his job." Bobby moaned

"I'm sure he'll get back on his feet." Hank said

"I know he will but what worries me more is that I didn't get a chance to recover the gem."

"The cops probably found it at the country club and it's now sitting in the evidence locker at the police station."

"I hope so, I can't imagine what would happen if someone worst then Seth got their hands on it."

(Dallas)

We see an apartment belonging to one former Detective Greg Stokes who was sitting in his empty living room surrounded by boxes full of stuff as he looked at some of the evidence he managed to collect with anyone knowing. Among the items were things from Seth and Ava's hideout he located a few days after that night at the country club, the items included passports, the stolen items from the Arlen Bank, cellphones, guns, and a positive pregnancy test. However what really was on his mind was the actions of the so-called evil werewolf of Arlen. He was deep in thought when his phone rang.

"Hello,"he answered,"yes, this is Greg Stokes."

He sat there while the person on the other end talked.

"Thank you, glad we could agree on a price, there is some things I have to do so I'll see you next week, goodbye."

He hung up the phone the stared at it before he redialed.

"Hello, Mr. Sizemore, it's Greg Stokes, I changed my mind, I like to move to Arlen as soon as possible."

There you have it, I hope the long wait was worth it. It seems Vergil showed Bobby the kind of person he can truly be meaning that his empty threats about eliminating the supernatural not so empty. Plus now Bobby could have a new human ally, and if you're wondering I'll explain in later chapters what exactly happened to the gem. Stay Tuned
