Dear Diary:

Prydain is still fairly quiet; it's been a good several years now since Arawn's tried anything at all. I'm not sure whether I should be relieved or worried. Probably both. Whatever he has in mind, it seems to be long in the planning, which gives us time to prepare. Good thing I can rely on my spies to keep me informed of his movements. Only problem will be getting the humans to sit up and take notice quickly enough once he makes his move- whenever that will be.

Which isn't to say the world wasn't spared any mortal danger of late. I just got out of a private meeting with Prince Gwydion. Apparently, Prydain has just been saved from the return of that dratted witch, Achren. It took her quite some time to pop up again, but she did- over at Mona, apparently. Seems she wanted to use the Princess Eilonwy as a tool for unleashing the power of Caer Colur. Thanks be to Belin, that plan seems to have backfired on her. Apparently, that red-haired girl hid more secrets than I would have guessed when I first met her. Not that I didn't suspect the latent magical abilities within her, of course, but the extent to which they went…

…Anyway, I'm glad the Fair Folk were able to play some small part in keeping an eye out for Achren; helping Prince Gwydion seems to pay off of late. Though the people of Mona deserve more credit than us, frankly. Between them and the princess, I'm almost beginning to think they're might be some hope for the human race after all.
