Au revoirXD
Merlin used a location spell to find out where the crime scene had happened. They hopped in his old red buggy and headed for the road.
"Do you think it's related to the other one?" the king asked his servant.
"Bromley now Beckenham… not that far apart from each other, but why?" The warlock asked even though he knew the man sitting next to him didn't have a clue. "The old couple were innocent and this was a family, do they have anything in common?"
"Maybe it was an accident?" Arthur heard Leon say.
"Maybe it was an accident?" the blonde said self-consciously.
"An accident?" the voices in Arthur's head vanished. "How would you set an apartment on fire by accident, especially if the people in the house didn't know?" Arthur shrugged.
"Can't you just use magic to find the answer?"
"Magic," Merlin chuckled lightly. "It isn't that easy my friend." Arthur frowned; he had never heard his friend's sorrow that strong before. Even though he had made it sound gentle and happy, Merlin was never a good actor and the king could see through the servant. The raven-haired boy that Arthur once knew had always seen a better way of life, Arthur had never listened to him because he was arrogant from his father and was always under pressure. He had always been cheerful and made an insulting joke to his master but what now Arthur realized was that he was under pressure as well as him. Always saving the prince's life and in secrecy, never being thanked or noticed for it. Now the raven-haired man wasn't cheery and full of life, he was tired of life, he had seen how hard life was. He couldn't just use magic because even though he was the most powerful being to walk the earth, life was harsh on Merlin.

They arrived at the crime scene half an hour later. Merlin pulled out the fake IDs and they temporarily switched from Arthur and Merlin to Archie and Martin for a while. They got past the barriers, Arthur knowing better what to do now.
"Ah, inspector Boyce." 'Martin' said widely as he saw the man in his grey suit, face still clean shaven.
"Oh, are you two still here?" he said broadly. "You disappeared last time."
"Private matter," Martin said quickly. "Did you find any other clues?"
"No, whoever did that must have been very organized, let's hope this one is much more easier to crack, eh?" he smiled smugly. "What were your names again, Michael and Andrew?"
"Martin and Artie." Martin corrected politely. "Where were the family when this took place?"
"Evidence points to the living room, I'll do the bigger job talk to the officers." He said, leaving them without a goodbye.
"My god, that man has poorer manners than Gwaine." Archie said quietly. Martin laughed, he'd seen worse.
They went to the living room where there was S.O.C.O. team studying blood on the floorboards and the white fabric sofa.
"Detectives." Martin said to one of the men on the group, he held up his badge quickly, followed by Archie. "Can you tell us anything yet?"
"The father took a blow to the head; we are suspecting that this is his blood." A woman answered first, she was ginger and had her hair in a rough bun. She was dressed in a SOCO white suit along with the others. She stood up to reach eye level with Martin.
"Louise Richards." She introduced. "I'd shake your hand…but it could get mixed up with the evidence." She joked. Merlin laughed.
"Martin, Martin Emrys." He introduced.
"Emrys, hey isn't that like Merlin? Hmm, I used to love that myth as a child, still do…I bet you get that loads."
"No, actually." Martin said sounding surprised and a little scared. "You're the first."
"Oh, I suppose no one's really into those legends anymore."
"Legend, it's not a legend!" Archie said angrily.
"Archie." Merlin said quietly and firmly to shut his friend up. "But if you had to choose… Merlin or Arthur that is…who would it be?"
"Merlin was an old man so definitely not." Martin cringed at the sound of Archie's cruel laughter. "And Arthur was with Guinevere so overall, in the novels I always loved Sir Gawain." She said softly, Archie's ears rang with the noise of Gwaine's laughter.
"Gwaine?" the prince and servant said in unison. She nodded, they talked for a while longer about what had happened and by the time she had finished, Gwaine's laughter disappeared but Arthur had no doubt that he was still beside himself with amusement in the after world.
"We suspect that this is the item that was used to knock the father out." A SOCO member said he held up a saucepan. "It has no fingerprints on it but has traces of blood on the back which we suspect is the males. We still do not know the reason behind the mother's electrocution."

They went to visit the hospital after no more evidence had been found. The receptionist informed them that the children couldn't be visited and the mother was awake while the father was in surgery.
Merlin softly knocked on the door of the woman's room. She was awake and eating a yoghurt. "Am I allowed to visit my kids yet?" she asked eagerly. "How's George?"
"Hi, Mrs Donnaghan is it?" Martin said kindly. The woman nodded.
"Who are you?"
"We're the Detective Inspectors for your case. Can we ask you some questions?"
Mrs Donnaghan resisted for a moment before resigning and nodding. Martin and Archie took a seat by her bed.
"Did you see the person who attacked…uh…George?"
"No, there wasn't anyone in the house."
"What do you mean by that?" Archie asked suspiciously.
"An object came flying out of nowhere, we were watching TV, me, the kids and George, we love Deal or No Deal you see…anyway George got up to start the kids dinner and then suddenly he was hit and on the floor bleeding, Michie and Ben started screaming so I ran for the phone and it electrocuted me…it was horrible. I mean, my poor children, Ms Bennet heard us from next door so luckily she came round. I hope Michie and Ben are going to be alright, first their cousin Celia and now this."
"Cousin Celia?" Martin asked, leaning forward.
"Yes, poor dear, went missing and we haven't heard since, they loved her, Michie and Ben, she always gave them piggy backs around the garden. Anyway, they say George is in surgery but I don't think it was too bad. A saucepan I think, like in the cartoons." Archie frowned.
"Anything else significant you think happened?"
"No, I don't know how it happened but I don't want my house being haunted."
"I'm sure it has a plausible explanation." Martin smiled. "We hope you get better soon." He smiled before leaving, followed by Archie.
