Penny and Me

Summers with her are his favorite. Windows down, radio up, unabashed joy. Cotton dresses and pink lemonade. Her perfume mixed with the scent of summer.

Worry free and in love.

You're Having My Baby

She's only nineteen. But this is him and her and maybe that's okay. Even if they're in entirely different states and their lives are going in opposite directions. He told her they were endgame, forever in a heartbeat.

The tether is just a little bit stronger.

In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning

She misses him most when the sun is just waking up and there's a lingering mist above the grass. Everything's quiet, but her thoughts are loud and filled with him.

Sleep comes only when her room is lit with life.

I Want to Hold Your Hand

She first notices them during her third hour Biology class. His hands. They're calloused, probably from drumming, just in the space between his thumb and first finger. Her hands are smaller than his, fingers thinner, skin smooth. But there's something about the way he waves when he sees her every morning, or gives her those rare high fives, that makes her want to reach out and grab one. Thread her fingers through his.

His is the hand she wants to hold.

Always Be My Baby

He's setting her free, letting her fly as they say. There's no one he'll love more. She left to pursue that dream always tucked away in her back pocket. He almost fought her, begged her to stay. But he knows she'll come back. Hearts like theirs are rare.

Until then he'll keep waiting for his front door to open. Then forever can start.

Five Star Service

"You hate it."

"Finn, it's perfect, really."

"No it's not. We're spending what's supposed to be our honeymoon in my parent's guest room. Nothing romantic about that."

"Are you kidding me? I've got you, that's all I need."

"I promise, someday when I've saved enough, I'm taking you somewhere awesome."

"Like Paris?"

"Paris it is."

"We'll order every pastry off the menu and drink wine in bed. And then I'll force you to the top of the Eiffel Tower, even though you hate heights, where we'll have a cliché picture taken."

"Sounds perfect. I can't wait."

"Yeah but Paris can wait. I've got all I need right now. Including this fantastic bottle of wine from Kurt."

"Better than five star service?"

"We'll see how you rank after tonight."

You Make My Dreams

Somehow when he's around her, the world's this giant musical, like the ones she always talks about. She makes him want to dance when he can't and sing ALL the time.

He wants her to be a part of his dreams.

Too bad he's too afraid to talk to her.

Fix You

He makes a promise that day.

Forever Young

This is their last one. Summer, fireworks, being young. Writing their names with sparklers. Playing guitar by the fire. It's picturesque.

None of them want to let go.
