Sorry for the long wait. I got caught typing my other stories that I almost forgot to upload this one. Please forgive me. Anyway, please enjoy the story.
Chapter 10
Zero's P.O.V.
I sat on the couch, having nothing to do, no challenges. There hasn't been a single challenge today, so I was getting annoyed. But what worried me most was my adoptive daughter, Vera. It has already been a day I'm already worrying about her. Is this what a father is supposed to feel, if it is, it's horrible. I was about to head out before seeing Maya in the door way. "Hey zero. Where are you heading to", she asked. "I am going to/ check on my daughter to see/ if she is alright", I explained to her. "It's only been a day and you're already worried about her", she stated. "It is pitiful/ but she is with prophet, so/ why do I worry", I said. "Hey, that's what fathers are supposed to do, defend their daughter from other guys", she reassured me.
I gave a thought before I showed a ":)" on my visor. "But if you want to make sure, you can go", she said. She moved out of the way so that I could pass. I thanked her before heading out the door. Before she could close the door, I stopped it with my foot. "I will go to check/ but I want you to join me/ if you are busy", I asked. "Sure why not, I have nothing else to do", she replied. I showed a ":P" at her before we walked towards the fast travel station.
Back to prophet's place...
Shawn's P.O.V.
I stopped working on gaige's buzzard and we both hung out in my room. We pretty much enjoyed the silence before she said;" I miss my dad". "How's your dad like", I asked her. "He pretty much supports me when I need it, really friendly, and he is awesome", she exclaims with excitement before it dies. "You really miss him, do you", I asked in a worried tone. She gave a nod before she let 1 tear roll down her cheek.
I couldn't just let her be sad, knowing that she is far away from her father. I want her to be able to contact her father, anything to make her happy. "You know what, I have an idea", I said. She looked at me with curiosity in her eyes. "I'm going to create a link so that you can talk with your father", I explained. She then had a wide grin on her face before giving me a hug. "Thank you", she said before hugged me.
I felt unsure on what to do when she did that. Gaige, who noticed, ended the hug and looked at me. "What's wrong", she asked me. "Nothing, it's just that..." I felt unsure of what to say. "Just what, it's not like you've never been hugged before, right", she said. "Actually, I never been hugged by anyone", I stated. "Oh, well...", she wasn't quite sure what to say either. Before I could react, she gave me a quick peck on the lips. If I wasn't wearing this mask, she would've seen my blush. She had a dark crimson color on her face. "Why did you k-kiss me", I asked in an embarrassed tone. "Well, I just got so excited that you were going to find a way to call my dad that I didn't mean to do that", she said as the blush darkened.
Before I could say anything else, someone was laughing. We both turned to see the intruder, whose name were Ron, laughing at us. "What do you know, a certain mecromancer has a crush on prophet", he said, still laughing. But he then stopped when there was a scream. Ron tried to figure out where it came from before being tackled by Vera. Gaige and I both were shocked by the scene. They both accidently kissed each other. We both laughed as they got up with a darkened blush. "Who's the love wreck now Ron", she said as she continued to laugh.
Before he could say anything, we all heard the sound of a blade being digitized. We all slowly turned to see zero standing behind Vera with a "D:" on his visor. "You know what, I should probably head to the hangar, I have to fix something", I said before slowing walking away. "I'll come with you, if you need help", gaige said before walking towards the hangar. "Good idea", I said before we both ran away.
Zero's P.O.V.
I was shocked at the scene in front of me. "Dad, I can explain", she said, but I walked past her and to the punk. I grab his neck and lifted him up. I placed my katana on his neck, prepared for his death. Before I could do that, she grabbed my arm. "Dad, let me explain what happened", she pleaded. I looked at her before giving a sigh. "You can explain why/ I saw him on top of you/ or he will not live", I said. "I was just at my room when vlad chased me around with a TNT and I ran into him and we both accidently kissed", she explained. I looked over to him, in which he gave a nod. "Fine, I'll let him live", I said before dropping him.
"Thank you", she said before giving me a hug. "But one thing you need to know", I said. "What", she asked. "If he touches you in anyway, I'll have prophet kill him", I explained before walking away. I found Maya playing with gaige's pet skag pup. Once she took notice of me, she immediately stopped and walked over to me. "So, what happened", she asked. "Nothing much, let's head back", I said before walking towards the runner. I hopped into the driver seat while she went to the turret seat. "I was thinking", Maya said," That if you're the dad, shouldn't there be a mother". "Why would you bring that up", I asked in confusion. "I'm just asking", she said. I shrugged before we drove back to sanctuary.
Shawn's P.O.V.
After zero left, gaige and I decided to continue working on the buzzard. "So, is there any other secrets you like to tell me", gaige asked. "There are others, but I don't want to tell you", I said. "Come on, tell me", she pleaded. "Sorry, I'm not going to tell you", I denied. "Come on, I'll make you", she said. "How exactly are you going to do that", I said. She looked at me for a while before a devious smile appeared.
"Gaige, what are you thinking about", I asked, slightly scared. She started to walk towards me in a slow pace, but I slowly walked back before being backed up by the buzzard. "Gaige, please stop", I insisted, but she kept walking towards me before she was in front of me, her face only inches away. She then leaned closer to me, only for our lips to be only an inch away. She then went towards my ear and whispered, "Come on, I'm doing nothing wrong, I'm just helping you out". "I know that you're trying to get a secret out just by trying this method.
"No fair, why can't you just tell me", she said before backing up. "I will tell you each one when I feel like it, deal", I said. "Fine, deal", she accepted before giving a sigh. "Come on now, don't be like that", I said. "Why not", she asked. "Cause you're my favorite, and I don't want you to be mad", I explained. She slightly blushed before giggling. I chuckled at this before I headed towards the ladder. "Hey, wait up", she said before going down the ladder first, followed by me.

We went inside my room, where vlad, vera, and ron where on the floor in a circle. "What are you guys doing", I asked in confusion. "We're playing truth or dare, wanna join", asked ron. "Sure why not", I replied before I sat down with gaige besides me.
General P.O.V.
Vlad: Let's see...Ron, truth or dare
Ron: Dare
Vlad: I dare you to kiss my sister
Ron: He leans over to vera and gives her a quick kiss on the cheek before both of them blush
Ron: Alright, Vlad, truth or dare
Vlad: Truth
Ron: When have you cried in your life
Vlad: Never
Vera: That's a lie, you cried when you were only 7 because you fell face first in the mud
Everyone laughed at this while vlad showed a "X(" on his visor.
Vlad: Alright, prophet
Prophet: I choose truth
Vlad: Have you ever been dumped by a girl
Prophet: I have never been dumped by a girl because none have even bothered to even see me. Once this is over, I will hurt you so badly that you won't even walk anywhere
Vlad: 0_0
Prophet: Alright, gaige, Truth or dare
Gaige: Uh...Dare
Prophet: I dare you to use D34TH TR4P on vlad
Gaige: With pleasure
She activates D34TH TR4P and chases vlad around the tunnels
Gaige: Hilarious, prophie, truth or dare
Prophet: Truth, I know you're not going to do anything serious
Gaige: Do you have a crush on...me
Prophet: While she asked that, I was drinking a bottle of water before choking on it
Gaige: Oh god, are you alright
Prophet: I'm fine, so, what did you say
Gaige: If you had a crush on me
Prophet: It all depends on how your personality, appearance, and your behavior is. But the most important factor is how a bond is between a female and male. If it has been a long time and they've done well, then a crush develops. If it was short and they've already known each other, too quick. If the female decides to friendzone the male, then no crush.
Gaige: Explain
Prophet: I have no idea
Gaige: What do you mean you don't know
Prophet: If I don't know, then I don't know, why do you ask
Gaige: I was just curious, that's all
Shawn's P.O.V.
"Alright, I think we should head to our rooms, it's almost night", I said before getting up. Vera left to her room, but gaige still remained. "How come you're still here, not being rude or anything", I said. "Well, I don't like my room that much, also your room is a bit warm", she explained, "So, is it alright if I stay here". I was a little taken back by this. But nether the less, I didn't want her to be unhappy. "Alright, you can stay, but just one thing", I said, "Do not search any parts of my room without my permission, understand". "Yes sir", she said sarcastically. She walked over to a hammock and laid on it.
"I will assure you that you will get comfort, as you are on my bed", I said. "Wait, this is yours, I'll just get off", she said before getting off, but I moved her back on. "Don't worry, I can sleep on the floor", I told her. "You sure", she asked. "Yeah, I had to sleep in those trains when I first got here", I explained, "Then in a runner, a buzzard, near sanctuary's engines, and then finally here". She started to giggle for a while before swinging back and forth on the hammock.
"What's so funny", I ask. "I'm not sure, once you explained it, it was kind of funny", she explained. "And this is why I love you", I said. "Yeah...wait, what", she asked in confusion. "I'm just kidding, you're my favorite", I told her. A slight blush appeared on her face before revealing a smile. "Now there's that smile", I said before making myself comfortable on the floor. "Hey prophie", she asked. "Yes", I answered. "Were you always alone", she asked. "Yeah...but not until I met you", I replied. Once again, a blush appeared on her face. "Good night gaige", I said. "Good night", she answered. I then fell asleep instantly, falling in the void of silence for the night.
