Here you go Last chapter!, thankyou to all that reviewed you guys rocked :) enjoy
I stared at Cameron wide eyed
Where would he even get a gun? As far as I knew his mother was 100% against it. She wouldn't even let us play shooting games on the xbox! My hands clung to Jimmys arm, so scared that Cameron had completely lost his mind from losing everything he had.
"Cam," Rick tried gently, trying to coax the boy to take his attention off me and Jimmy.
"Shut the fuck up Rick," he growled, his eyes glued to me. "You know what I had to go through to get you here? Do you know all the shit I had to promise your parents I would do if they let you come to California with us? I wanted you here with me Ben! I fucking loved you!"
I shivered biting my tongue from arguing that he was just worked up in the moment and in the morning he'd remember he didn't mean that.
"Hey," Jimmy tried softly. "It's alright I totally understand where you're coming from. I mean...if I was you I'd feel like the world is crashing down around me too."
Camerons eyes shifted slightly to look at Jimmy. His eyes narrowed. "You're the one who caused all of this. If it wasn't for you Ben would still be wrapped around me and I'd still have my friends!"
Jimmy got up, discreetly stepping in front of me to block me from Camerons view. I didn't want him to do this but I was so paralyzed with fear that I could do nothing to stop him.
"Right," Jimmy began, holding his hands up to show he wasn't going to try anything. "I'm the one who stole them. I'm the one who ruined it for you. So take it out on me, not them."
Cameron took a step closer, and Rick turned his body slightly, preparing to jump on him while Felix did the same. "You're right," Cameron whispered, a twisted smile coming to his lips. "This is your fault. If I can take you out of the picture then they'll be mine again. Everything will be as it was."
Jimmy smiled and nodded, his back shivering slightly, the only sign he gave to show he was scared. My heart pounded in my ears as Cameron raised his gun, aiming it at Jimmys chest. That's when Rick and Felix sprung, and before I knew it, I was shoving Jimmy out of the way just as the bullet tore through my chest.
The pain was intense. I had never felt anything like it before. It burned my skin and insides. I could even feel it bounce off of a rib and change trajectory. I could feel the blood leaving me as I heard screaming and yelling all around me. I couldn't make out what they were saying, it was better not to listen anyway. That's when blue invaded my vision. Jimmy was hovered over me; I didn't even know when I had fallen to the floor, screaming at me to answer him. It was weird how I could understand him and no one else. I looked past him, seeing Ricks face contorted into one of panic, fear and desperation all rolled into one. Felix was stunned, his mouth hung open and his eyes were wide. Cameron was watching me from the floor, being restrained by the two other boys, his face blank.
"Ben," Jimmy screamed, his voice filled with terror. "Ben, come on! Talk to me!"
I smiled weakly and looked at him, "you're loud."
He stared at me before letting out a sad chuckle. "Come back to me Ben," he whispered.
I furrowed my eyebrows and stared at him confused.
"You know I've been waiting on the other side," Jimmy sang softly his voice starting to fade away.
I furrowed my eyebrows and stared at him.
"And you, all you gotta do is cross the line. I could wait a whole lifetime, but you just gotta decide. You know I, I've been waiting on the other," he continued to sing.
I gasped and sat up as my alarm clock beeped next to my head. A shiver ran down me as I looked around. I was in my room. My eyes roamed over everything. There were football gloves in the corner and as my eyes roamed to the bathroom that had its door open, my heart stopped. Jimmy was in a towel, brushing his hair and singing that same damn song.
"We would live forever, who could ask for more. You could die if you wanted but baby what for," he sang, smiling gently.
It was a dream. My heart was still racing and my hand flew up to touch my chest, noting that I was shirtless. I quickly felt around my chest, looking at myself to make sure I wasn't suffering internal or external bleeding from a gunshot wound.
"Benji, you ok," Jimmy asked, amused by my self-examination.
"I had this crazy dream," I whispered staring at him in awe.
His eyebrows furrowed as he sat on the bed with me, his hand coming up to cup around my cheek. "Tell me what happened?"
I nodded and leaned into his touch, kissing his hand before telling him my story. This was real. I was safe. Cameron he never...he never existed, I was in LA with Jimmy and born in Boston. I was studying to be a history professor, everything was perfect just as i dreamt it would be.
