Chapter Ten Need A Plan
Ziva groaned as she looked at the team sitting near her. Gibbs was listening for McAcklin again by the door. Abby and McGee sat by each other in hushed, hoarse voices.
"Guys," Ziva had to clear her throat, "guys, we need a plan."
Gibbs looked over and nodded, "I'm sure Vance is looking for us but we need to get to DiNozzo."
Ziva nodded feeling the sting of worry and fear again. "Anyone have an idea on where Tony is and how to get to him?"
"Well I got an idea how I can get to him, but its risky." McGee spoke up.
"One of us at least needs to get to him." Gibbs sighed. "Any idea is better than none."
Tony opened his eyes hearing McAcklin coming. Quickly he jumped to his feet ignoring the pain pounding on his head from earlier. "What do you want now McAcklin?"
"Oh I think you've spent enough time away from everyone. So, I'm going to bring you back to them." McAcklin grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back. He lead Tony down dark hallways towards the room everyone was in.
Tony heard footsteps behind them. He glanced over his shoulder and saw a few of the hired men McAcklin had following them. Automatically Tony knew whatever was going to happen, wasn't good. Something had made their captor angry and now the whole team was going to suffer for it.
"Knock, knock." McAcklin opened the door and shoved Tony to the ground. His words laced with a false excitement. "DiNozzo's back!"
Ziva crawled over to Tony concerned. "Are you okay?" Her quick whispered question made Tony realize how scared the Israeli woman was.
"I'm fine Zee," Tony whispered back assuring her slightly. He looked back at McAcklin, "what's going on?"
"Why would anything be happening DiNozzo?" The false excitement was still there but Tony detected the hostility in his voice towards the team.
"Quit the crap McAcklin." Gibbs barked, "tell us what's going on."
"Well," McAcklin shot a glare at Gibbs his words now laced with ice. "I heard you guys were coming up with a plan," as he spoke his hired men walked up and grabbed both Ziva and Abby by their hair and dragged them to the door, "so I decided to come up with my own."
McGee ran over, "Abby! Let her go damn it!" He hit the man who held Abby.
Tony glanced at Ziva and watched her stay calm through the ordeal. He knew if he reacted to save Ziva he would give McAcklin exactly what he wanted.
"McGee," Gibbs spoke up too late as another man hit McGee between the legs. As McGee fell to his knees they kicked his head making the whole team flinch at the crack that resounded.
"Timmy!" Abby clenched her hand into a tight fist and pounded it into the man holding her until he released her. As soon as he let go she bolted to McGee's side and carefully lifted his head into her lap. "Timmy! Hang on Timmy." She whispered tearfully.
"Any takers for the Israeli? Or is she mine for the taking?" McAcklin sneered. Her snaked his arm around and grabbed Ziva's. Just like Tony he twisted it behind her back and yanked her into his body earning a painful groan from Ziva. "Mmmm," McAcklin hummed appreciatively. "I think I'll just take her."
"Don't you dare!" Tony managed to make it to his feet. Slowly and shakily he began to make his way towards McAcklin unaware of the gun that was being taken out.
"DiNozzo!" Protectively and swiftly Gibbs ran forward and tackled the man to the ground who held the gun.
McAcklin laughed harshly. "This works for me instead." He threw Ziva down at Tony's feet and grabbed the silver haired fox. "See you later team." He left shutting the door behind him and his men. His laughter echoing down the hallways as he left with Gibbs.
"Is he going to kill Gibbs?" Abby whispered crying.
"No, no he won't Abs." Tony sat by Ziva assuring the scared forensic scientist. "How's McGee?"
Abby looked down at McGee. "He's bleeding. It's not bad, but he's unconscious."
"He'll be fine Abby." Ziva reassured. "We all will." A tired sigh escaped her lips as she rested her head on Tony's shoulder. At least I hope so.
