Sorry, sorry, sorry, SORRY! I haven't updated in AGES i know! I don't know why, well I do, but i'm not going to bore all of you with that.

Okay, so my English teacher, who Ella and I get on really well with, has been off sick for ages, and she's back now. Well, not teaching a whole class yet, but kinda back. So yesterday I printed out this story, for my mum to proof read, so my english teacher will read it. i'll tell you all what she thinks :P

I also started writing a really intense story the other day, for no reason. I have no idea where it's going to go, I'm not going to post it until it's near finished, or until i know what i'm going to do with it. I don't even know the characters, i'm not sure i'll even post it on here!

Anyway, due to all the small chapters (trust me, i've had a few reviews saying 'Too short') I'm giving you with a long one here :D I think I wrote most of this (so it should be really really really gooooood) haha, kidding. Well, I wrote the funny bits :D 'cause i'm-a-just funny like that... :D

MITCHIE'S P.O.V

It was him! It really was! Shane freaking Gray, asleep on my Grandma's doorstep waiting for me!

I threw my arms around him and held him tight. This was the first time I had been so close to him!
I told him I had to go feed my Grandma's house and I led him inside.
I fed Smokey and we sat on the sofa, sighing, I felt so happy, I was lost for words.
He told me the full story: how he had come to surprise me when I was on holiday but we were leaving just as he arrived! It was him, it wasn't a hallucination!
I felt sharp pain in my back, 'Ow' I said as I rubbed it.
'You alright?' Shane asked.
'Mmm, I sometimes get back pain from the aeroplane seats, and it didn't help with the dude behind me wanting to get out so I had to keep putting my chair up.'
Shane was silent. Dead silent and wide eyed.
'What?' I asked, laughing. 'Earth to Shane!'
'That dude was me'.
This time I was silent.
'You mean…'
'Yes, I was the one behind. It was you! I called your name when I heard you singing. You didn't answer me.'
'I thought my mom was talking to me.'
'God, this is weird.' Shane said.'
'You can say that again.'
'God, this is weird.'
'I didn't mean it like that!' I said, giggling.

SHANE'S P.O.V
Wow. What a whirlwind the past few weeks have been. I'm now back in LA. I went back after a week. I couldn't stand Nate's constant phone calls, pressuring me to answer his bazillion questions.
For the time I was in New Jersey, I stayed in a hotel but Mitchie and I met up everyday. It was so hard for her, not knowing what to say to her parents. She did tell them after the second day. I think they sort of knew, seeing as the drama that happened at the airport. Her dad… well, he looked so shocked that day, to see me. Sometimes I wish I was normal, not a known person, just a guy trying to live his life.
Everyday, we met and walked for hours, under the burning sun, hand in hand, walking across the beach. Mitchie told me how she had walked the length of the beach, when she was on holiday, trying to search for the right words to write to me, all those weeks ago.

'You should just have said what your heart told you.' I had told her.
'That was the problem; I didn't know what I wanted to say. There was such a difference from last year to this, I seemed so real, like I was actually waking up from a dream and realizing what was happening.' All through this I just had been silent, staring at her beauty.
'Shane?' Mitchie said, looking me in the eyes.
'Yeah?'
'You looked miles away! Were you even listening?'
'Course I was.' I said quickly, smiling broadly, 'Let's go and get ice cream!'
I chose my ice cream with no difficulty: chocolate fudge with biscuit topping, while Mitchie, on the other hand, took an age to choose.
'I don't know! There are so many!' She laughed, looking at me!'
'Well, choose anything you like!' I replied.
'Erm, strawberry cheesecake with strawberry sauce and Oreo topping, please.'
'Finally!' I said jokingly.
Once we had been served and I had got ice cream all down my shirt, we walked down to the beach and found ourselves a shady spot.
'I've had a really nice time this week, Shane, I'll miss you when you go back.' Mitchie said, looking glum.

'I know. I'll miss you too, Mitch.' I said with a sigh.
It probably sounds soppy, but when you've wanted those precious moments so badly, then once you get them, they are so special to you. Those moments, they make me feel so happy, a joyful tingle that runs down my spine. I never wanted to let them go and come back to L.A, but I knew I had to.

MITCHIE'S P.O.V
I sighed as I waved goodbye to Shane. He was leaving. He had to. I understood. Every part of my was screaming for him to come back, to come running out of the taxi and hold me in his arms, but I knew, for both our sakes, he had to go back to L.A.
'You okay honey?' Mom asked that evening when she had gotten back from visiting Grandma in hospital.
'Yeah. I went to the beach today me and-' She stopped herself
'You and who?'
After a pause, Mitchie finally replied 'Shane', she said, with a smile she couldn't hide.
'Okay', her mom turned filled the kettle. Maybe she was trying to avoid the subject of this widely know superstar Shane Gray getting close to her young daughter.
'Mom'
'Yeah', Connie said without turning around.
'What do you think of him?'
'Well', she took a deep breath in. 'I think he really likes you. And I know you like him a lot. I can tell Mitch'.
'You think?' Mitchie's face lighted up. 'You think he really likes me?'
'Mitchie, you can tell by the way he cried his heart out when we made you leave the airport.'
I didn't know how to reply to this, we hadn't talked about the events of the airport, I didn't think we'd have to.
'We shouldn't have made you come away from him. You looked like you just wanted him so bad. But I was worried about my mother. I needed to see her, to make sure she was okay.'
'I know, Mom.'
'I think you love him Mitchie.'
At this point I just simply burst into tears.
I hid behind my hair and the tears of relief for somebody to say that rolled down my cheek.
'Aw, come here Mitch.' Mom pulled me into her. 'I think you should tell him.'
'I can't', I said in between sobs.

'Over time, you'll gonna have to'.

'I know'. I dried my eyes and went up to my Grandma's spare room.

I reached into my bag, pulled out my favourite green pen and a postcard,

'Dear Shane,

I miss you already. Please stay in touch. It'll mean a lot to me. I've had a great time with you.

With love,

Mitchie xxx'

SHANE'S P.O.V

I slowly turned the key in the door of my apartment. With a sigh, the door creaked open, 'Damn, I'm gonna have to get that fixed, I hate squeaky doors', I said to myself.

'SHANE!' It was Jason, throwing himself at me with a cheesy grin.

'Hey buddy!' I said. 'Miss me?'

'You bet!'

'Is Nate here?'

'Uh huh, in the kitchen, sorting bills or something. Too complex for me. He's not happy with you.'

'Oh, not good then.'

'Shane? Is that you?'

'Nate! How good to see you!' I said hugging him.

'Shane! You've been gone over a week. I've left you a bazillion messages! Why haven't you replied or got in touch!'

'Battery was dead, sorry', I said, biting my lip.

'Our reputation could have been ruined! We haven't been in the press for ages!'

'Nate, calm down!', I said.

'Well at least your back now' Nate said. 'You've got bills, and fan mail and messages.'

'Oh well. I'll pay the bills tomorrow. Fan mail can wait'.

'You don't make that girl with the postcards wait!' Jason called out.

'Well, what do I reply to that.' I thought.

I hung my head and said quietly, 'She's special'.

Nate just stared at me. 'What is this, Shane?'

'What do you mean?' I asked.

'You're getting too involved.'

'And?'

'You were with her, weren't you?' He said, sounding really angry.

He knew. Mitch's parents knew. It wouldn't be long before everyone knew.

'Anyone want chocolate?' Jason called out. 'It's Nestle!' I couldn't help but laugh. I love Jason; he breaks up conversations like this.

'This isn't a laughing mater, Shane. You're getting too involved with a fan. Okay, you may like her, like really like her, but, think what this could do to the band!' Great, one of Nate's lectures was not what I needed.

'Nate. Please. Can we talk about something else.'

'No, Shane. This isn't going to go away!'

'Look, the band is fine, I'm here, the press doesn't know!'

'Do you like her?'

'Of course. Yes.'

'I don't mean as a friend.'

Dead silence, filled the room. An atmosphere of stone. Nate had hit the nail on the head. He could tell. He could tell I loved her.

'She's- she's' I hesitated. 'Mitchie is my best friend.' I could admit it to myself, but to someone else- that was a different story.

MITCHIE'S P.O.V

He hasn't replied. What does this mean? It can't mean it's over. Please. It can't just be a holiday thing. He said he would miss me.

Oh c'mon Shane. Reply. Go on AIM. Text me. SOMETHING, PLEASE!

Start. Programs. AIM. Log in.

No Shane.

SHANE'S P.O.V

Sitting down, I realised something. Our 'friendship' was growing. We had a holiday romance. We grew closer during that week.

I love her.

I really do.

I, Shane Gray am in love with Mitchie Torres.

Drumming that into my brain made everything so real.

MICHIE'S P.O.V

The next day I thought about giving up. Not signing into AIM waiting pathetically for Shane. Would he? I was just a doting fan, dreaming. Dreaming of being with him forever.

Rock_Star_78 has signed in.

'OMG!' I said aloud.

Why was I suddenly nervous? Well it was the phenom Shane Gray!

Rock_Star_78 is calling you: Accept or decline.

Frantically hitting accept, my laptop freezed!

'NOOO!' I screamed.

'C'mon, c'mon, please. Sort your self out!' I urged my laptop.

Suddenly the image of a man looking so happy, like a young boy, his brown eyes shining, appeared on my screen.

'MITCHIE!' He exclaimed.

'Shane, hi!' I replied.

'How are you?'

'Fine, fine' I wasn't though. I was hurting on the inside, but maybe, maybe this conversation could make things better. 'How are you?'

'I'm good. Nate's nagging me!' He rolled his eyes.

Why was this conversation so formal? There was an atmosphere. A bad atmosphere.

'Erm…so? Everything ok back in LA?'

'Yeah. Everything's fine. You wouldn't think it the way Nate's going on!' He laughed an awkward laugh. The laugh you use to fill silence. What was going on?

Erm, Shane?'

'Yeah…'

'Can I end the call?'

'Sure, why?'

I was lost for an answer,

'Er, Mom's hovering and stuff.'

'Oh ok.'

Call with Rock_Star_78 ended.

Okay, maybe I could tackle this awkward stuff. I don't think I could say this all aloud.

'Why are things so different suddenly now?' I typed.

'They aren't they? Since when?' Shane typed back.

'Just now.'

'Oh, Mitch, I'm gonna have to go.'

'Ok.'

'Speak soon, yeah?'

'Yep, sure.'

'Bye Mitch x x x x x x x x'

'Bye Shane xxxxxxxx'

SHANE'S P.O.V

Okay, what the hell?

What was up with Mitchie? Why did she think things were different? I mean; I know I'm in L.A, but we both talked, and we swore it would all be fine.

"Shane! Get your butt in here now!' Nate screamed from the other room. I reluctantly wandered out into the hall,

"…Yeah?" I asked cautiously.

"You were AIM-ing with her weren't you!"

"Jeez Nate! 'Her' has a name, it's Mitchie, and I find it an extremely beautiful name, and secondly, so what if I was? My private life is nothing to do with you!"

"Shane, of course it has to do with me, I'm you best friend, and I don't like the fact you are so into this 'Mitchie' I'm sure, John wont either, so I advise you to let her go now, before you get too deep,"

I scoffed at Nate's words,

"No, I wont let her go. For once since we became famous, I'm feeling myself Nate. She isn't a gold digger, she doesn't want me for my fame and she isn't a crazy fan, she is a down to earth, young woman. To be honest I don't give a rat's butt what John thinks, he may be our manager, be he can't control our lives," I turned around, to walk back into my room, "Oh and Nate?" I asked, Nate looked up,

"Yeah?"

"Some best friend you are," I simply stated. Nate was about to reply, when I walked into my room, slamming my door shut.

I slid down against the door. What on earth is happening? I had just gotten into a fight, with my best friend, because he didn't approve of a girl. I mean, I've always approved of his girlfriends, yeah, I didn't like Hannah, because I knew she was cheating on him, and Alex was a gold digger, but I never voiced my opinion until the right time, anyway Nate's opinion didn't matter. I was going to make her mine, whatever it takes, and I was going to do it right away.

I stood up quickly, causing my head to spin,

"Eurgh, maybe I'll wait till tomorrow," I muttered, as I plodded towards my bed, which I then collapsed onto, falling into a deep slumber.

Did you like it? Did you like it not? Which bit did you find funny? If any?
