Chapter 10

Eric's POV

I can't believe that Sookie is really Rayne, The Angel of Death a Goddess. She also happens to be Princess to two different thrones. Moreover, I can't believe she shared the story of the Originals and their banishment with us.

I can't help but feel like a child again. Like, when my father would tell me stories of his past battles.

My father is the one that told me of The Angel of Death. Even after my first punishment by Rayne, my father was proud that I had fought her and that she had chose to correct my behavior instead of killing me. He said we had been blessed by a Goddess.

When Rayne said that she still had children and would be calling them to her, I have to admit I was curious to know who they were. I have been a vampire for around 1,200 years. That would mean her children are even older than that.

Now, I know there are vampires older than me, but not many. And even less live in America. Godric and I are two of the three oldest vampires in America. Most of the older vampires hold titles over in Europe and Asia, the Old World.

As Rayne finishes the story, I can't help but believe everything she has said. It just has that taste of truth to it. But when Godric mentions the Ancient Prophecy, my curiosity is definitely peaked.

I have only heard Godric talk about the Ancient Prophecy once. But I know that it is major. I think he heard some of it from The Ancient Pythoness.

Ok, I think Rayne was right earlier. We have all been on an emotional rollercoaster today. I believe it is time that I retire for the day. After saying my good days, I make my way to one of the bedrooms and collapse on the bed letting the pull of the sun take me into darkness.
