Chapter 10

I was sitting down at the dock, my feet in the water and I was laying on my back watching the clouds go by. Quatre, sitting next to me, was making small circles on my stomach. I sighed happily. I was happy. Being here, having Quatre as my boyfriend, it was a dream come true, but usually not all dreams last, right? I heard Quatre ask me what I was thinking about and I propped myself up on my elbows and looked into his blue eyes.

"You know...you guys are the best and are so wonderful for helping us and letting us stay." I started. Quatre smiled softly at me. "I think I'm home sick, in a way.. I mean, I miss home..I do and I want to go home..but I don't. I don't want to leave you, or Duo and I know Angel wouldn't want to go back because she really loves Duo." I said, now sitting up and playing with a stand of hair. Quatre brushed some of my hair away from face.

"Well, what are you going to do? What can you do? Can you even get back?" he asked and I shrugged.

"I don't know, Quatre." I said sadly, blinking back the tears. Quatre wrapped his arms around me and I pressed my face into his chest as he rubbed my back. I heard someone clear their throat and I looked to see Angel standing there. I bit my lip and wondered if she heard any of that conversation. I searched her face, but could see nothing, but then again, Angel was good at hiding her emotions. She smiled and looked at Quatre.

"Sorry, but I need to borrow your girlfriend. We need to go have a girls day out for a bit, since I haven't really had ANY time with her!" Quatre nodded, understanding, and gave me a kiss on the forehead. I stood up, put my flip-flops on and left with Angel.

"Where are we going?" I asked her as I noticed that we were leaving the property. She smiled at me.

"We're going shopping for bikinis!" she said excitedly. I looked at her with my mouth hanging opened. Angel laughed. "We're planning a trip to the beach tomorrow! Your hunk of a brother gave us some money so we could get bikinis and hey, if there's a bit left over we should go get a mani-pedi. We have to impress them, right?" I nodded slowly.

I wasn't the one who went crazy to get the latest fashion, to wear a lot of makeup. Sure I wore the eyeliner and lipgloss, but that was it, and my nail Polish was black and chipped. I was just going to go along with the whole thing because it made Angel happy. If she was happy, so was I. Angel found a little boutique and we walked in. We were in luck cause bathing suits were on sale. Buy one, get one fifty percent off. Angel squealed and went in search for the perfect one. I went to look at the one piece suits. I pulled out a black one and showed it to Angel who crinkled her nose up. She then rummaged around and pulled out a bikini and walked over to me.

"You should get this one. It would impress Quatre." she said, handing me a black two piece with hot pink and hot blue flowers painted on it. "You do want to impress him, right?" I nodded slowly. Would it impress him?

"Alright, I'll get it." I said and Angel smiled at me and continued to look for her perfect one. "How come you haven't found yours yet?" I asked. She shrugged and moved onto the next rack and started searching.

"Aha!" I heard her say after a bit of searching. I watched as she pulled out a black two piece, and she turned it around to show me that on the bottom it had a red dragon winding around it, and it looked tiny. "So, what do you think of it?" she asked. I smiled.

"Looks skanky." I said, honestly. "But I like it and I'm sure Duo will too!"

"You think so? You know how hard we have to impress guys.." I looked at her and smiled a genuine smile.

"You'll be the HOTTEST girl there on the beach." I said. "After me, of course." We laughed together and went to go pay for our suits. After we paid, we had enough money to go get our nails done. Angel ending up getting her nails painted a hot pink colour, I picked a dark blue for mine. When we were finished and paid, we left the salon and Angel accidentally bumped into another girl. Angel was about to apologize to her, until she recognized her.

"Watch where you're walking." Angel spat. The girl with the short black hair and emerald colour eyes glared back.

"Me? You're the one that should be watching where your are going, idiot." Hilde said angrily. I looked at both of them and I swore I could see the sparks flashing between them. I sighed. Angel did not like Hilde because she was her competition. Hilde loved Duo and had sort of an off/on relationship. Hilde examined both of us, then snorted.

"So, you're the new friends of Duo, huh? I'm surprised they've accepted you so quickly, especially Heero." she said, rolling her eyes. I shrugged.

"I'm Duo's sister.." I said. "It's probably why they've allowed us to stay." Hilde just stared at me. I don't think she really believed me.

"And I'm going to be Duo's girlfriend!" Angel added, smirking. Hilde laughed.

"Yeah right. Not in a million years. Maybe in your dreams, but not in reality." She laughed again then walked away. "Tell my sweet Duo that I say hi, and that he needs to call me!" she sang, laughing again. I looked over at Angel, who was stewing.

"Not in a million years!" she muttered, then looked at me and said "Let's go."
